It’s a beautiful cabin and would stay there again the only problem we had was the drive going up to the cabin, was all steep, but we made itno problem.

The access road through the subdivision to our parking area is one half mile. The grade up the hill is paved with asphalt or concrete and is 1000 feet long. Our parking area and the rest of the access road is packed gravel. There are pull outs to allow vehicles to pass
Absolutely beautiful cabin in an incredible area. We came in for an event at the Tail and were perfectly close to the action while still getting our own privacy. Everything about the cabin is well thought out, and it was very clean. We had the perfect trip and would absolutely stay here again.
Cabin was wonderful! Peaceful area. Great place to stay. However is pretty far from attractions and hiking trails. Didn’t use the hot tube but looked nice. We cooked while we were there and enjoyed the view while eating. Weather was beautiful so we opened the doors to enjoy the mountain air and sounds. Beds were comfortable, clean, and rooms were a nice size. Driveway was very steep!!! (It is the side of a mountain!) We enjoyed our stay.
The Pines cabin was perfect for our family. Easily accessible. Gorgeous views. It felt like home while we were there. Close to places to hike and not a far drive to Cataloochee to ski/snowboard. Wish we never had to leave.
We had the most amazing weekend at The Pines Cabin! We were so excited driving all the way up and felt like we were on top of the world up there. Tom and Faye were so wonderful and responsive to any messages we had, and we spent every spare moment in the hot tub! The master suite was my favorite spot and loved the comfort of the big bed with the stove nearby.
Everything was cozy and perfect for a getaway in the mountains. When i had originally booked it was going to be my husband and 3 kids but then my husband and oldest son ended up having to work so it was just me and my 2 kids ages 17 and 13. At first I was nervous about thw drive to the cabin and runnig the hot tub by myself. But after the drive and getting thwre the nervousness was unnecessary the drive was just fine for me and the hot tub controls were even simpler than expected. My kids enjoyed the view and nature and I enjoyed the seclusion woth them. The cabin had eveything you could think of and anything you may have forgotten
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay here. The listing is exactly as described and instructions for check in/check out are clear. It is a beautiful, quiet spot to spend a getaway and the hot tub was perfect too! Will return!
Put away your devices and get to know one another (and yourself) in the comfort of this cabin. The area is beautiful, the hot tub relaxing as is the home. If it is seclusion you are seeking - this is perfect for you. Currently, you cannot have an outside fire due to the area laws. I’m not wild about the platform that VRBO uses, but the platform does not interfere with the quality of one’s stay.

Although there are other homes nearby, we felt we had the whole wilderness to ourselves. Beautiful cabin in a beautiful area. Lots of things to do in whichever direction you choose to drive! Had a wonderful honeymoon!

About the host

We love this area and this cabin is our favorite place in the whole world. It is our home away from home and we care very deeply about it! We want you to enjoy it as much as we do, so please be kind to our property when you stay here! We live in Alabama and it takes us 5 hours to get to this cabin from home. We ride motorcycles to the property. The drive up to the cabin is steep and our parking areas are packed gravel and the turnaround space cannot accommodate trailers greater than 10 ft.
