Truckee River Historic Home

Questa è una proprietà unica nel suo genere. Questo ha un significato storico come il Wyethia Garden Club femminile nei primi anni del 1900, con una grande sala riunioni, una cucina e un bagno che nel corso degli anni è stato rinnovato e ampliato. Il piano di sopra al piano superiore ha ancora la grande e bella sala con camino a gas, impianto stereo surround e televisione a schermo piatto. La sala da pranzo si trova anche in questa grande sala. La cucina si affaccia sulla zona giorno / pranzo e dispone di stoviglie ed elettrodomestici a servizio completo. Il ponte posteriore si affaccia sul fiume Truckee e ha accesso al livello inferiore e al cortile. Camminare in questa grande stanza da quella che sembra una piccola entrata frontale è davvero mozzafiato. Sul ponte c'è un barbecue a gas, un tavolo da giardino e sedie.

Al piano inferiore sono le due camere da letto, ognuna con il proprio bagno. Il master ha un bagno più grande con ampia doccia. La seconda camera ha un bel bagno piastrellato e una magnifica vista sul fiume. Entrambe le camere hanno porte private sul ponte inferiore esterno. La camera da letto principale più grande ha un televisore a schermo piatto e un lettore dvd. Lavatrice e asciugatrice full size sono nel corridoio al piano di sotto.

Ho appena aggiunto un nuovissimo materasso king size e un nuovissimo materasso completo alle camere da letto, in base ai suggerimenti degli affittuari per un sonno più confortevole. Adoro i materassi Tuft e Needle! Entrambe le camere hanno ora le tende piene per la copertura mattutina .... Mi piace svegliarmi al buio, ma non tutti lo fanno!

Addormentarsi ascoltando il suono del fiume Truckee che scorre molto attivamente. La posizione di questa casa è comoda per godersi gli affascinanti aspetti storici del centro di Truckee. Una passeggiata in città è spesso più veloce di un disco e un parco! All'ingresso di questa strada a senso unico c'è una caffetteria per una passeggiata mattutina e un caffè. Tutti gli accessori di questa casa sono di alta qualità e design di buon gusto. Tutte le attività ricreative si trovano nelle vicinanze. What an amazing place! We could not have had a more enjoyable stay. The location along the river, the living space, the two bedrooms all as described and reviewed by others. One observation I would add is that the master bed was so comfortable. Sleep comfort is something we use as a filter in our choice of accommodations. This bed was one of the best in our many stays over the years (We did not occupy the secondary bedroom so we can’t comment there but I am sure its bed is equally as comfortable). Dinny is an amazing host. She was easily available to deal with a minor issue that arose due to the frigid weather we encountered. Her team responded in a timely manner and our stay was not impacted. We really appreciated having a host who went the extra mile to ensure our experience was the best it could possibly be even when Mother Nature threw a little curve. Thanks Dinny.

This is our third time staying here, and it's as wonderful as ever. The house and location can't be beat. The view (and sound) of the river is amazing. Everything about the space is super comfortable, and the kitchen is really well equipped. We also appreciate the short walk to old town Truckee.

Dinny was very welcoming and communicative. The house was very comfortable, well stocked, and nicely appointed with great bathrooms and kitchen. We were there in the winter but the river access in the summer must be terrific!

location was terrific, close to great walks and farmers market on tuesday. also lovely to walk to restaurants nearby. the house was fantastic and communicating with the owner was super easy. this house is definitely on our list to return to for many years to come.

We loved our stay at Dinny's cabin on the river! Access to the new section of the Legacy Trail just across the river was a 2 min walk down the street and perfect for morning and evening walks with our dog. As pictured below, our pup loved relaxing on the deck overlooking the river as much as we did. Awesome bakeries, cafes, restaurants and shops were steps away. We spent our down time relaxing in the open and airy great room, appreciated all closet and drawer spaces in the bedrooms to unpack and settle in and loved the updated bathrooms with great showers. Dinny was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back to the Historic Truckee River House!

Perfect location next to Truckee river and just 5 min walk from “everything” in Truckee. You can really tell that this location was a “home first and foremost”, that gets Vrbo’d out to guests. Everything inside is REALLY nice. You will love it here!

Wake up to Sound of River

And go to sleep with same sound since the Truckee River runs next to the backyard, one of many special extras at this house. It is more like a house than an apartment, with three bathrooms, three decks, an expansive livingroom and a kitchen that accomodates more than one cook. Very fast Internet, too. Needless to say, we had a great time. Kudos also to Dinny, who is considerate and always available -- a wonderful hostess. Howard & Diana plus Two

Spectacular river access/ views

This gorgeous property is even more beautiful than the pictures on VRBO. Morning coffee ( from Dark Horse Coffe down the road) on the deck started our day. You can literally walk in 5 minutes to the cute downtown of Truckee with a plethora of eateries and cute shops. You can fish in the river behind the house which was our favorite!

River House Rave!

We stayed at the River House for my husband's birthday weekend. We enjoyed a day of sunshine, followed by two mornings of snow! When you first arrive at the River House, it seems like a cozy little cabin, but once you open the door, you're greeted by a spacious open-concept room filled with windows that offer stunning views of the beautiful trees and flowing river.The house was immaculate, and the two bedrooms downstairs were spacious with their own dedicated bathrooms. There's also a full bathroom upstairs, which is convenient so you don't have to run downstairs. Truckee is a fantastic weekend destination with a lively atmosphere and plenty of great restaurants.We always looked forward to returning to the River House to enjoy a glass of wine by the fire. Our host was quick to respond to any questions we had, and I want to extend a personal thank you to Dinny for being such an accommodating host! We look forward to our next visit!

Perfect Location!

The location was incredible, we loved being able to walk to the coffee shops and restaurants nearby, and also to the paved Truckee River walk. The river was an amazing sound to fall asleep to at night. We will absolutely be visiting again!

Perfect home in town for a family

We had a great break in this warm and welcoming home by the river. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a base to explore the area and have shops, bakeries and restaurants a couple minutes’ walk away.

Beautiful house with a great view of the Truckee river. Well equipped kitchen and beautiful decor. Loved the open design of the upstairs. Very comfortable and enjoyed spending many hours just staying at "home".

I just loved staying here so warm and cozy and love being right on the river. can not recommend this home enough, would love to stay here again. The owner was very nice and could not be more accommodating. Loved to be able just to walk to town.

Lovely Truckee stay

Had a really great 3-night stay at this awesome property. Incredible location, easily walkable to everything downtown. The river was such a peaceful and beautiful backdrop…from relaxing on the deck with morning coffee to falling asleep to the sound of the water rushing by. Communication with the host was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this property, and can’t wait to go back.

An absolute gem

I can't say enough great things about this place! One of the few rentals that feel like it's built for real people to stay there (versus just for a weekend). So much space, lots of lights, great AC situation, etc. And so magical to have the river right there!! And Dinny was awesome and incredibly fast and thoughtful. Would 100% go back!

Perfect Getsway

Listening to the sound of the river has always been one of my most favorite things to do. And being that this wonderful house is right on the river was very special. The house has everything you need clean comfortable beds. We just had a wonderful stay.

Great location

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Great location, close walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops. Backyard with Truckee river is amazing for relaxing during during the day and stargazing during the night. House has many upgrades including great audio system, modern bathrooms with a steam room, kitchen with everything you may need

I love this home and have recently moved in with a partner so I am making it available for folks who want to visit Truckee, a beautiful town that I moved to in 1987. This was a big winter and the Truckee River is flowing high and offers an amazing sound to fall asleep to. I have been a real estate agent in Truckee for 26 years and have recently retired turning the business over to my daughter. I am also a Radical Forgiveness and Manifestation coach and use this home for workshops and private meetings when it is not rented.

The location of this property, in the Lake Tahoe area, beautiful resort living is perfect for exploring all of the amenities available when living in paradise! Truckee has a wonderful small town energy which is easily accessed from this location. There is music, dancing, fine dining, concerts and a gallery within walking distance.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Being right in downtown Truckee has a tremendous benefit for exploring this historical community. Having access to the Truckee River is great for summer light recreating as well as beautiful snowy vistas during the winter. The elevation is just low enough to make winter snow management without a garage easy to handle. The location is close to all of the ski areas, Donner Lake for summer recreating and Lake Tahoe. Reno is only 30-45 minutes away from this downtown area for those who enjoy shows and/or casinos.
