The cabin is lovely, warm and roomy enough for the kids and I. Perfectly cleaned, and very quiet! So close to the resorts, but without all the noise and traffic. The perfect escape!
Great place to stay with your family and dog! The setting is really beautiful and proximity to Boone is great. It was very clean, had all the kitchen items needed, peaceful place to unplug and unwind after a day of hiking. It was what you think of when you think "laid back mountain cabin." We would definitely stay here again!
Cabin was clean and directions were good. However, there were neighbors’ dogs who barked all night and were not very friendly. Our dog was scared.

Glad you liked the place. Sorry about the neighbors dogs. I wish we could control that but sometimes things set them off. They are actually nice dogs but we know they bark sometimes. Since we are on several acres of land and the neighbors are not very close to the cabin it is usually not an issue. Sorry they disturbed you and your dog. The Greenes
This cabin was perfect for our weekend trip. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make meals. There were plenty of extra bed linens. The cabin had such a cozy vibe, like we were walking into my grandma's home back in the 80's! The cabin was very clean and communication with the host was very easy! Loved the beauty we could take in from sitting in the deck too!
Beautiful, rustic cabin! The property is cozy and quiet, and perfect for internet-free relaxing! There was plenty of room in the cabin for an adult family of four and our dog. The outdoor property is well-maintained and spacious.

My family and I loved staying at the cabin!
My mom, dad, and sister went up to the cabin for Thanksgiving and had the best time. The cabin is so rustic and exactly what we were looking for. Our first time in Boone and hope to be back soon!

Thank you! We are so pleased you had a great Thanksgiving visit!
We stayed at the cabin July 9-12, 2025. The cabin was the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing! There was plenty of room for our family of 5. We did not cook any meals during our stay but the kitchen seemed to be adequately equipped if meals were prepared with plenty of cooking utensils and pots and pans. It was nice that we were able to bring our fur babies with us on this trip! The morning of our departure we saw two deer in the back yard!
It was a very cute cabin with everything we needed. My 14 month old loved exploring with us in the woods. Everything was very clean and for the most part as kid friendly as it could be.
We loved the cabin and how it was tucked away in the woods. The hosts were wonderful and were so helpful to us we were trying to figure out the cable TV! We will definitely stay again

About the host
Hosted by Kristi & Gary Greene
This cabin is owned by 'The Greenes'. We grew up in North Carolina and attended college at Appalachian. We know and love this area and are happy to have the chance to share it with you. We have a 26 year old daughter who loves to bring her friends and have fun in the mountains at 'Where the Greene Grass Grows'
Why they chose this property
We love the mountains! It is so nice in the heat of the summer, because it is usually very cool. In the winter it is fun to visit and go skiing with friends. The river is so natural and does not come with the sand that ends up all over everything when vacationing at the beach. The views are great. The shopping is awesome and you are always family in the NC mountains.
What makes this property unique
Great to read a book and listen to the creek. Nice to sit by the river or to go fishing. Perfect for hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. Wake up to deer in our yard!
