Beautifully decorated home with screened porch and open deck with mountain views, 2754 square feet with open kitchen/den/dining. Quiet neighborhood 4 miles from downtown. Walking distance to waterfalls. Full kitchen with full size appliances. Beautiful rock wood burning fireplace. Central AC/Heat. Master bathroom has separate hot water heater so no running out of hot water! Covered carport. WIFI and Smart TV.

Deck with Solo stove and wood ready to go in the fire. Big green Egg is ready for grilling outside on the deck while enjoying the beautiful long range mountain views. The house has original artwork and a mid century modern feel. You’ll love the quiet neighborhood that backs up to National Forest. Ranger Falls is a short hike from the house on a well marked trail. Pinky Falls is nearby.

The Oak Steakhouse is also nearby for a great dining and brunch experience. Downtown Highlands is a 4 mile scenic drive. Only our side of street has mountain views

Host was extremely responsive, no real issues, just questions about various things. Loved the area. Outdoor screened porch was a favorite. Did not use fireplace or fire pit (too warm), but loved the big green egg!

We've been coming to Highlands for about 10 years and I would say that this was our favorite property. Very comfortable house, great back porch and easy drive to town. The owner was also a pleasure to deal with. We can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay in Jana’s house. The location was very convenient for visiting both Highlands and Cashiers. The furnishings were comfortable with several good sitting areas for groups or individuals. Our favorite spot was the screened porch. Many relaxing hours were spent there. It was nice having a bathroom for each bedroom. We like eating out at lunch and cooking dinner at home in the evenings and found this easy here. Jana was very easy to contact and always responded quickly to our questions. We recommend this rental especially for senior citizens as it is all on one floor.

Great house with all the conveniences. Beautiful safe neighborhood. Very convenient to Highlands and super close to The Oak Steakhouse. This was our second time staying at this house. Will definitely return!

One of our favorite Highlands vacation homes! Close to town and also terrific walkable neighborhood that is quiet and has lovely views. Especially enjoy the screened in porch for morning coffee. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for eating meals in and also close enough to enjoy restaurants in Highlands. Comfortable and immaculate bedrooms and baths and simple check in. We love the large dining table to do jigsaw puzzles while enjoying tv and fireplace. Thanks for another perfect visit!!

I will start with the good. Hostess was great with communication. House was clean, with a lovely porch. Furnishings were nice. Beds comfortable. Kitchen very nice. For the not so good. House was a bit musty, so there were a lot of lavender infused oils put out. Smell was overpowering and one guest was severely affected by the scent. Had to find the culprits and put them outside. Bathrooms were very dated and toilets were so old and low, we older ladies had some issues with our creaky knees! Also, the carpets in bedrooms were very old and worn. Probably reason for musty smell. We ladies did have a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the porch. I would not give a 10. More like a 7.5.

Gorgeous house

This house has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Highlands. The decor is absolutely beautiful. Very comfortable furniture and bed. A nice neighborhood with paved roads for walking. Will definitely stay here again.

We had the most wonderful Christmas holiday here in the Highlands. Our neighbors, the Powers, stayed here last year and highly recommended this home—and now we completely understand why. The location is perfect, the mountain views are absolutely beautiful, and the house is furnished so beautifully and thoughtfully.We especially loved the handmade ceramic mugs—such a special touch that made our mornings feel extra cozy. Lovely home 15 minutes from downtown Highlands

A very comfortable and lovely home all on one level with a great screened porch and well stocked kitchen made the perfect place for 4 adults and two young children for a week. A nice collection of toddler toys was a special bonus.

Lovely, Restful Stay

Spent a month at this lovely, quiet home. Many hours enjoying the thunder out on the screened porch. House is nicely appointed. Appreciated the many nice touches by the hosts (personal care products in the bathrooms, coffee, basic spices). Hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Perfect Stay!

Last minute getaway and so happy this property was available! The only negative comment I have is that we didn’t have a few extra days to stay! The house is so comfortable and beautifully decorated! Perfect outdoor space to enjoy as well. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed. Our host, Jana, was very welcoming and super easy to communicate with. We look forward to returning soon!

I wanted to stay longer!

My family enjoyed our visit to Highlands immensely. Fall beauty everywhere around us. The three bed/three bath house was perfect for our family of six. We particularly enjoyed the cool mornings on the screened in porch and the daily challenge of starting a fire in the fire pit! When can we come back?
