About this property
Tucked Inn - Cozy 1BR 1BA Cabin in Tahoma – Fenced Backyard, Dog Friendly
Nestled in the woods in Tahoma, this comfortable cabin is the perfect West Shore spot for up to four guests.
Great for a couple or a family with children under 5 (Max capacity is 2 people over the age of 6). The fenced-in and secure backyard is a great place for kids to play and dog to explore.
Kindly note that one well-behaved dog is permitted with prior approval. Dog is not allowed on furnitures.
"Tucked Inn" features an open floor plan, one bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom with a shower, and a stacking washer and dryer. The comfortable living room features a gas fireplace, large flat panel TV, and a full-size sofa sleeper. Use the Wi-Fi to share photos and update your social media status. Or unplug and have a good conversation over your favorite beverage.
The well-equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, and everything you need to create a homecooked meal. The adjacent dining area has a table with four chairs. You can also barbeque in the summer and enjoy eating outdoors in the backyard.
Venturing out? Many Lake Tahoe activities and sights are right at your doorstep!
Your home away from home is close to Meeks Bay, which has a terrific sandy beach. Located on National Forest Land, the Meeks Bay shoreline is popular for its beautiful scenery, sprawling clean beaches, and easy access. The area offers a high concentration of recreation opportunities including camping, swimming, biking, boating, and hiking into the nearby Desolation Wilderness.
Also nearby, Chambers Landing has a nice beach and a popular restaurant and bar (described below).
Ed Z’Berg – Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen, and juniper. Another attraction is the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion (also known as Pine Lodge), a summer home built-in 1903. Winter visitors to the park will find over 20 kilometers of marked cross country ski trails and a heated restroom in the General Creek campground.
D.L. Bliss State Park is open to vehicular traffic in the summer, where you can enjoy swimming or scuba diving in the crystal clear water of Lake Tahoe, picnicking, relaxing on the warm sand of Lester Beach or Calawee Cove, and access to hiking the Rubicon Trail, Lighthouse Trail, and Balancing Rock Trail. Lester Beach is a popular location to launch your kayak, paddleboard, or canoe.
You won’t want to miss the icon of Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay, a short drive away. Emerald Bay State Park boasts 360-degree picturesque views that encompass Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Eagle Falls, and Vikingsholm Castle.
Just a few miles down the road you’ll find Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. The Magical West Shore has great options for whatever you fancy: snowshoeing, snowboarding, downhill or cross-country skiing, sledding, and more!
Interested in a dining option? We highly recommend the Fire Sign Cafe for breakfast and lunch. The local market is convenient for a quick stop. Open in the summer, Chambers Landing is the oldest bar on Lake Tahoe. The menu features a wide variety of delicious items and a kid's menu is also available. A favorite family hot spot and accessible from land and by boat from the lake, Chambers Landing is known for its pristine views of Lake Tahoe.
To experience all the gambling and nightlife that the Lake Tahoe area offers, South Lake Tahoe/Stateline is about a 30-minute drive.
