NC Blueridge Mountain Air retreat close to Asheville & Burnsville

Our condo with three bedrooms and three bathrooms overlooks mountains and the valley with views that change with the seasons. While enjoying coffee or cocktails on the deck lounging before the fireplace the unit has a homey yet elegant feel to it. Furnishings, beds, linens and kitchen equipment are all new as of 2021. Guests have access to 7 miles of beautiful hiking trails starting right outside the front door. They also have access to the award-winning Creekside Park and all of the other seven parks in the community. As well we have cozy beds outstanding long range views and a kitchen filled with everything you’ll need for a wonderful vacation and let’s not forget great Wi-Fi. You are a 40 minute drive to Asheville and a 10 minute drive to the charming town of Burnsville. Mount Mitchell is practically in our back yard. Tubing, Fly fishing, Snow skiing and shopping are all just a short drive away.

Christmas at Mountain Air

Despite the cold and rain of a late December trip, my family had a wonderful time at Mountain Air. Our host, Jeri, was very helpful with loads of information before the appointed time. The living quarters and bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Our two grandsons, ages 6 and 4, especially enjoyed the nearby Creekside park with its trails and waterfalls. We'd love to come back some other time, maybe in the warmer months to take advantage of some of the area's other amenities.

Exploring Burnsville and Mountain Air

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was just as advertised, and the views are amazing! The house was very well equipped and had everything we needed. The trails and parks within Mountain Air are absolutely beautiful! We ventured out to the quaint town of Burnsville a couple of times for cocktails and the First Friday (of the Month) Arts Show which was an easy 10-15 min drive and lots of fun. We had a questions during our stay and the owner was very responsive and pleasant. We highly recommend this property!

Beautiful View

The place was beautiful and the check in process was the quickest and easiest I’ve ever had. The communication was wonderful I can not say enough good things about this place and Jeri. The day before I received several emails with extremely detail directions/instructions. Will definitely come back again.

Beautiful views

Very nice mountain condo. There was a cleaning mixup when we arrived but owner made it right. Beautiful condo with amazing long range views. Loved the large sectional couch and electric fireplace. Beds were super comfy with nice bedding. Plenty of thick, plush towels. Appreciated the well stocked kitchen with lots of seasonings, cooking oil, exc. would absolutely stay here again!

Christmas in the mountains

We arrived at Mountain Air right after a severe cold front. That gave us a White Christmas in our very Cozy Condo. View is as spectacular as advertised. Condo is extremely well stocked and the owner Jeri made sure everything was excellent. Highly recommend

Peaceful getaway

My wife, dog, and I stayed here for a week. The property had terrific views of the fall foliage. We enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace and sitting out on the deck. Jeri was friendly and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time up at Mountain Air.

Girls' Trip 2022

The condo was lovely, with all the amenities to make for a comfortable stay. Check-in and check-out were extremely easy. The area and views were amazing and we would definitely rent it again. Thank you Jeri for being so professional and easy to work with! We had a wonderful trip made all the better with the excellent accommodations!

Mountain Air Retreat

This property looked amazing on the VRBO site and is better than advertised. Jeri made check-in very straightforward and made sure that I had ample instructions pertaining to the condo. She listed local restaurants with directions and also told us how to find the local grocery store. All this while she was preparing her own home in Florida for the impending hurricane. The condo is superbly stocked, is very comfortable, and features three bedrooms and three bathrooms. As a top floor unit, there are stairs to negotiate but the view is worth it. I had never been to the Burnsville area and would definitely return to enjoy more of what this area offers including nearby Mt. Mitchell State Park. Thanks to Jeri and Tom for sharing their beautiful place. I pray that all is well with you.

Thank you for the view. The setting and views are incredible. The master bed was heavenly soft. The condo was beyond "well" stocked. Better than my pantry. The owner was very helpful and very available. Would recommend highly.

Upscale Mountain Retreat

Mountain Air was a wonderful tree-top adventure that provided an escape from the summer heat. With attention to the small indulgences, my daughter said she felt like she was staying in a Four Seasons Resort! The condo contained everything we needed. The owners were very responsive and kept us informed.

A great home in a great location

I want to thank the owners for hosting us. The condo was wonderful. We had read about it being fully stocked but we had no idea. It did have everything you need in the kitchen to all the bedrooms and more. The condo is very comfortable. The view out the family room and dining windows makes you want to just sit there all day and not go anywhere else. We went hiking almost everyday in the area and loved everything there. We tried a couple restaurants in town and they were very good too. We want to come back again in the future and we would not want to stay anywhere else but here. Thank you for being such a great host!

Great mountain getaway!

This Mountain Air condo was extremely well stocked - I honestly can’t imagine anything you’d need that wasn’t already provided. Comfy furniture and bedding with killer views! Great communication with the owner. Highly recommend!

Spring getaway

The condo was exactly as shown in the pictures. All amenities were furnished as described. The fireplace was perfect with a nice large flame and easy turn on. The host was excellent communicating with. A good mountain retreat with excellent views from the interior and deck.

Wonderful inside and out!

This condo was a pleasure all around. We have stayed near Asheville many times and in Burnsville on a few occasions. I would return to this vacation rental. The pictures are accurate. The inside is lovely, comfortable, and efficiently furnished and supplied. The view is beautiful from inside and on the deck. This is a top floor unit so the ceilings are high and the deck is open to the sky. The fireplace flicks on with a switch! We enjoyed it on the two nights that were chilly. After hiking up mountains all day we didn't budge from those wonderful swivel chairs in front of the fire. There were a few residents in the other building units close by, yet we had a feeling of privacy and quiet. We usually choose secluded cabins for vacation rentals, but this complex is surrounded by nature so it gives the feeling of away-from-it-all. As for the incidentals, the kitchen is very well stocked with spices, condiments, dishware, cookware, and utensils. The appliances are modern. We cooked all of our meals there. The beds are comfortable and the linens of good quality. The bathrooms are well stocked. The heating was marvelous on chilly days and opening the windows on nicer days was lovely. Wifi was strong and reliable. We streamed Netflix on two devices simultaneously. The community has all paved roads and all the outdoor areas are very well maintained. You should understand, you are coming to the mountains and the roads everywhere are winding and steep - not just at this condo, but wherever you plan to hike, see waterfalls, and drive to mountain tops such as Mount Mitchell and Grandfather Mountain. Arrive in a suitable vehicle. The location of this condo is a great home base for getting to the hiking spots just mentioned and also going to Asheville. Check in at the gate upon arrival was friendly and easy. There is a flight of stairs to enter the condo so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Communication with Jeri was the best! We texted before our arrival and during our visit. I had a couple questions during our stay and she answered immediately. I felt she genuinely wants her guests to have a great experience - at the condo and in the area. Lots of info on the area is available in a basket filled with pamphlets. And we found a few necessities - bandaids and batteries for the tv remote - in the kitchen. This is a beautiful, comfortable condo in a great location to explore the outdoors. I highly recommend it and plan to return.

Once you come through the gate at Mountain air you’ll understand why we chose to buy a second home here. Once you enter our place we hope you’ll feel the warmth of our home. When she sit by the fire or out on the deck you’ll understand why we just couldn’t resist this place. We hope you’ll enjoy your stay.

Long range Mountain View’s from our porch. Hiking trails right outside our front door. Wonderful small town Burnsville 10 minutes away. Mount MitchellHighest point on the eastern seaboard less than 45 minutes away and the wonderful town of Asheville with great restaurants shopping the Biltmore and NC Arboretum just 40 minutes away. Blue Ridge Parkway, Black Mountain, Boone and Blowing Rock all in our back yard.
