About the property

Family mountain cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 living areas, 3 Baths 3 miles to downtown

Our family friendly home sits in a serene mountain setting with amazing mountain views! We are only three miles to downtown Breckenridge. Enjoy easy access to skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing trails, mountain biking, hiking, and more in this picturesque mountain setting!

Our 2,100 square foot home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas, and an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances. We provide all the staples so you can focus on enjoying your visit.

The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, Crock pot, pancake griddle, coffee/tea maker and we keep spices, condiments, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Everything for the gourmand to cook a delicious meal.

There are flat screen televisions in both living areas and in every bedroom. You will also find DVD players with movies, a Wii game system and games, air hockey, board games and lots of books. No one should ever get bored here! The downstairs living room has a cast iron fireplace; it's a great way to snuggle up and watch movies together or enjoy a snowy evening in the mountains.

Outside, heated mats on the deck will keep your feet warm as you slip into our Arctic Spa hot tub on snowy days. Fire up our one of a kind, custom-made gas fire pit (just like at the ski slopes). Or, relax in the hammock for afternoon naps and enjoy grilling out on the back deck with aspen-wood deck chairs and a two-seater swing made for summer day lounging.

During winter visits, you never have to worry about shoveling snow, we we have a company who plows the drive and shovels the deck. You can just enjoy your vacation!

When you leave the cabin, you are only minutes from so many fun and adventurous activities. In the winter, ski or snowboard at Breckenridge (which is only a five minute drive away), cross country ski, snow shoe, snowmobile on nearby trails. Or, for a change of scenery, you can catch a ride on the free Summit Express Shuttle service; it picks you up Breckenridge and goes to both Keystone or Arapaho Basin ski areas. Copper Mountain and Vail resorts are all a short drive away as well.

After a day on the slopes, you can hit some of the great restaurants in town. Not in the mood to ski or snowboard? How about a sleigh ride or even snow mobile tour? Or, you might take the kids (or just the young at heart) to the great snow-tubing hill in Frisco. Forget your winter coat? There is great shopping in downtown Breck or even hit the outlet mall in Silverthorne.

During warmer months, there are hundreds of trails in Summit County to explore. You can hike a 14er, bike over the pass to Keystone, go white water rafting, catch a ride on a zip line, learn to fly fish, take a Jeep or ATV tour, or tour the local gold mines.

In addition to all of that excitement, there are always special events going on in town like ice sculpture contests, live music, and festivals or relax with a day at one of the great spas.

About Holly

We are a military family. Matt grew up in NY. After graduating from West Point (Go Army), he spent 24 years on active duty Army before retiring and taking a desk job. Holly is a Texan and went to Texas A&M (Gig 'Em) and is a real estate broker and renovation designer.

Holly purchased this house in 2009

Why Holly chose Warrior's Mark, Warrior's Mark West

We chose this cabin for the location. It is less than five minutes to downtown Breckenridge, yet far enough from town to enjoy peace and quiet. We are very close to ski lifts, Quandry Peak, and the Goose Pasture Tarn (local lake 1/2 mile from the house). Our beautiful mountain cabin is only four houses off Highway 9 (the main road through town). We are minutes from the ski lifts and tons of great hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and biking. It is a wonderful weekend getaway or a longer vacation with your family. Breckenridge is one of the most scenic mountain areas in the US with unlimited outdoor activities: snow skiing, snowboarding, tubing, mountain biking, fishing, whitewater rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, hiking, nature, ice skating and more. It is truly the perfect area.

What makes this house unique

Two living rooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) means the adults and kids can have their own spaces. The game-room comes equipped with TV, DVD player, air hockey, Wii with games, books, and board games. There are TVs in every bed room and in both living areas. Free high-speed internet and Wi-Fi use and a desk top computer for your use. Large outdoor deck with hot tub, large gas fire pit, hot tub, and custom made log chairs. Tree house for the young or just young at heart! Three miles from the ski lifts. We have everything you need for your little ones too: high chair, booster seat, toddler table with chairs, sippy cups, bibs, kid friendly dishes, and even a pack n play.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Beautiful! Was a huge blessing to our whole family. Never knew life could be this good. We loved our stay here-everything was set up so well. We cooked a couple evenings and even grilled burgers outside for my son's 20th birthday. You have a great place here- it is all so beautiful. Thanks for taking such care to make this a great memory for us!

Great stay at this Breckenridge condo

VRBO Bear stayed here

Mar 8, 2011

This Breckenridge home is perfect for a pack of bears! When I arrived, I was welcomed by a cozy, cabin feel and a warm crackling fireplace. I could instantly tell this was going to be a perfect weekend getaway. My traveling companions and I headed up for the weekend to escape from the hustle and bustle. There was plenty of space in this humble abode for all of us to sit back, relax, and watch our favorite movies. We each had our own flat screen TV in our rooms! After watching a movie we headed upstairs for a ping pong match and a game or two of air hockey. One of the best things about this cabin is you get the feeling of being secluded in the mountains, but only about 2.5 miles from town. After a long day of walking around town or hitting the slopes, we came back to a warm house and relaxed in the bubbling hot tub. The heated floor mat leading to the hot tub was a nice touch. There were plenty of activities to do during our stay. We found shops, restaurants, trails and the gondola is just minutes away! If you choose to stay indoors, the cabin is stocked with plenty of movies and puzzles to keep you entertained. The home has many windows providing beautiful views. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make our meals; from pots and pans to salt and pepper. The living room had comfortable chairs and couches that were always inviting after a day out on the town. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and wash cloths and the hosts even spoiled us with soaps and lotions! This is a fantastic home whether you're visiting for a couple days or staying for a week. The VRBO Bear

Fun in the Snow in Blue River, CO. in late March

  • 5 of 5

The Cabin was the perfect size for our family of 6, consisting of grandparents, parents and 2 kids aged 13 and 9. The cabin is very close to Breckenridge for shopping and skiing. We were also an easy drive to several other ski areas, many of which we visited.

The cabin offered a quiet, relaxing atmosphere for the adults with multiple TVs for viewing in down times, and a hot tub to relax in. The kids made use of all that and played fuss ball, air hockey and WII as well. There is a full kitchen and a washer and dryer for those dirty and wet clothes.

Everything was nicely arranged, clean and well maintained. We could not of asked for a better house. Being from Indiana we saw less than 10 inches of snow for the entire winter and Mother Nature filled our need with 2 good snow storms, which provided several hours of outdoor fun for everyone.

Romantic dinners by the fire pit

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect hide away for a new couple on our honeymoon. The cabin was very welcoming and cozy. Fully stocked with everything you need except a few groceries. We enjoyed dinner outside on the deck sitting next to the fire pit in the cool evenings. The gas grill allowed me to cook up the perfect steaks for me and my new bride. In the mornings we also enjoyed the deck as the warm sun shined on the deck and we had mimosas and other fun drinks. This comfy home offers all the amenities you could ask for and a few that you wouldn't think of asking for. Yes, we even played air hockey and battleship on our honeymoon! We would defiantly use this as our first choice anytime we return to Break whether it is just the two of us, or if we bring our family. With both upstairs and downstairs living areas and bedrooms, there is plenty of space to stretch out. Thank you Matt and Holly for literally thinking of everything and sharing your cozy cabin!

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for our vacation with our 6 adult children. The deck and hot tub provided a great place to spend time and enjoy the view. One morning we woke up to find a moose standing at the rail of the deck! The location gave us privacy while still being close to many activities. The house was clean and well stocked and provided lots of entertainment options.

Absolutely Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is everything you imagine and more. A perfect get away to enjoy family and friends, while enjoying the surrounding winter scenery. You feel secluded in your mountain home. The kids were never bored due to the air hockey, foosball, and Wii. The home is well equipped with kitchen items, you name it, it was there. The market/grocery store is very close to the cabin. The owner Holly was always on the ball and responded immediately. Everyone was sad to leave, and are talking about coming back in the summer or spring.

Awesome getaway spot

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 had a fantastic time staying at this cabin over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The cabin is located close to town but far enough out to be very quiet and relaxing. The owners did a fantastic job of communicating with us and making sure our stay was enjoyable. The cabin was very comfortable and warm, even in the cold winter months. The appliances were modern so we were able to prepare some of our own meals. With the cable TV service we did not have to miss any of the college bowl games. I recommend this cabin for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
