We had a wonderful stay at this lake house. It was very clean and was well stocked with everything you might need. The coffee station was a nice addition that we took advantage of each morning before sitting on the deck enjoying the peaceful lake view. It was just myself, my husband and our dog, but there is plenty of room for a large group to stay. We appreciated the use of the pontoon boat which is older, but ran well. Communication with the host was excellent and we had a great trip.

Host is very communicative and helpful! This is a cottage, not a luxury hotel but well worth the price we paid. They also have everything there you could need and the outdoor area is exceptional with a beautiful bonfire pit. The pontoon boat is old but it runs like a charm and was perfect. Each room has a window ac which kept us all very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay :)

Relaxing Getaway

Our family enjoyed our stay. Loved the private beach! Cute quaint and cozy home. Kids enjoyed fishing there were an abundance of fish that were caught in the lake!

The Whimsical Cottage was great. Good location and Lake was great. It had everything we needed. Wish we could've stayed longer. Janel was great to work with. Quick response to all our messages.

We had a great stay. We had 9 people with plenty of space and sleeping area. Great view of the water and nice having the pontoon for rent as well as kayaks to use off the property. Janel even have smore supplies, firewood, coffee for us. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed.

Perfect Lakefront Cottage

The home, sandy beach and amazing host really made this trip memorable for us! The home had great sleeping arrangements for our group and the window air conditioners kicked out plenty of cool air. Jan was so responsive and the coffee bar was so well-stocked! We can’t wait to go back next year!

Excellent location right on the lakefront. Beautiful clean property and home. Firepit was setup and easy to use. Can't wait to stay there again next time I can get away in Michigan. The host was easy to communicate with, and all directions were clear and timely. Thank you!

Great spot with great amenities, but a troubling amount of bugs. Mosquitoes are awful in the backyard, and each room had its own spider in it. One of our guests found a spider in their bed and refused to sleep in it afterwards, opting for the admittedly very comfortable couch in the living room. Would be a perfect spot if not for all the critters you have to share it with

Exactly as pictured. Outside area is amazing. We enjoyed paddle boats, kayaks, pontoon rides, the fire pit, grilling and outside dining. Restaurants are close by too. Walkable neighborhood. 11 people,18-74 years old, worked well in the house. Owner is very helpful and answers any questions quickly.

60th bday celebration

So awesome so fun. Property had everything we needed. Coffee in the morning on the tiki pontoon and watching the sunrise, the big pontoon for touring the lake and doing a bit of swimming ending our day at dockside for dinner at sunset. Our host Jan was very responsive but really we had little need to reach out there good direction given via email and notes onsite. gorgeous weather all weekend too. Thanks so much Jan

Peaceful and Relaxing

The cottage is very clean and inviting! The outside amenities were nice, clean sandy beach, paddle boats, the Tiki Bar is a permanently docked pontoon, was great to hang out on! The back deck is gorgeous, great for enjoying the lake view, just no shade until later in the afternoon. Cottage is on west side of lake so you have the sunrise and lots of sun all day, we used the pontoon for coffee in the morning for some shade! Everyone on the lake was very friendly. Fishing from the pier was good, my husband caught some bass, just don’t forget the bug spray at night! Despite a few minor glitches - would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Lakefront Whimsical Cottage on Round Lake and were very impressed. We have stayed at a lot of different VRBO's over the years and would rate this as one of the best. The cleanliness and condition of the facility was exceptional and the view was truly extraordinary. The pontoon was very relaxing and enjoyable and the fire pit near the lake was a great way to end our day. The owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again, this place is the best!
