We like to refer to this property as Turtle Haven. It is named in a tribute to our parents. My mom and dad called each other “Big Turtle” after my mom endured chemotherapy treatments and lost all of her hair. She would be in bed under the blankets and my dad said she looked like a turtle. From that day forward they called each other “Big Turtle” . This is our way of keeping their memory alive. We hope you make lots of memories here just as we have!

Enjoyed staying in this delightful home near Franklin, N. C. It’s our 2nd stay and we always enjoy the convenience, cleanliness and comfort of this home away from home.
I rented this house for family members coming to visit for a family reunion. It’s beautifully decorated and extremely clean. My family really enjoyed their stay at the house.
If respite from noise and city traffic is what moves you, this is the place to find it. We loved our break from the hustle and bustle of our hometown; kitchen was easy to cook in, the beds were comfortable, TV was fab, outdoor area was beautiful and our host (Selena) couldn't have been more easy to reach/responsive. 5 stars!
This was a fantastic choice for a Christmas getaway with the family. The house has everything you need to feel like a home. Close to get hiking and much more!

We stayed for a quick, quiet birthday getaway. The property was exactly as listed and extremely clean. The house was decorated for Christmas which made it so much more cozy. The communication with the property manager was smooth and very prompt. We will definitely be back for another stay this fall.
Beautiful home nestled in the mountains and perfect for our 4 night stay. Very clean, convenient, and comfortable stay. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay! You are welcome back anytime!
A wonderful private little place with a private road with it’s own address, im the mornings we walked around the house in an endless loop, enjoying the quiet and feeling like we were the only ones in the area. Inside, everything was meticulously clean and thought out. A coffee cabinet with all the supplies, farm kitchen table, a huge huge kitchen window with great view of the backyard trees and the mountain beyond, cute decorations everywhere, gives a nice feeling. Note that traveling anywhere from that location is 30-40 mins, but it’s worth it because if driving through all the beautiful hills and valleys.
I came into town for a few days to house shop with a realtor and brought my two teenage kids along. This house was just perfect and so cute! Looks exactly like in the online photos. Selena was awesome - we decided to extend our stay by another day and she was super responsive. I would definitely recommend this home!

Thank you so much for your review! You were the perfect guest and are welcome back anytime!
My family of four came to the mountains to celebrate my birthday. The home is clean, quiet, cozy, and inviting. The view of the mountains from the kitchen window is amazing. The host has done a great job of making the home welcoming. There were so many small touches that made the experience feel like home. My family enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table eating and talking, playing games in the living room and sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch drinking coffee, The property is close to several waterfalls which we also explored. It is a perfect place to get away for peace and quiet. My husband complained about the wifi bandwidth. I was secretly happy about it because it gave us a chance to unplug and reconnect. Great stay!

Hello, My husband Rodney and I will be your host during your stay. I grew up here on this very property which was once an apple orchard that our family owned and operated. Our grandparents lived in this very house. This property has been a part of our family for over 100 years. We couldn't bear the thoughts of selling out to someone else so we decided we would share it with you in hopes that you will create just many wonderful memories here as we have. We hope you enjoy your stay here and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out. Selena and Rodney
