Peaceful and quiet cabin, very close to ski Monarch!
This romantic and rustic cabin could be out of a movie. Equipped with everything you need for a quiet ski vacation. We were here with our four little children and friends with their three children. It worked great for us. The cabin is at the end of a road. If it snows you definitely need a 4x4 or snow chains to get in and out. Our kids were able to ride their toboggan on the road directly in front of the house. It was awesome.
The owners are extremely helpful and take good care of this cabin. Thank you!
Location, location, location! This home was immaculately clean and very well appointed. Everything we needed was provided. There were beautiful views out of every window. Very close to Monarch Ski Area. Certainly would stay there again. The only downsides, and they were minor, are that you have to haul your garbage out when you leave (although it is just up the road) and there is no recycling capability. There are three bedrooms on the lower level and to get to the one bedroom you have to pass through one of the other two. That didn't bother us too much because we weren't using the 3rd bedroom . It's just an FYI. Also the stove used to heat the home gets very hot on the outside. If you have small children like we did you may need to block the area off so they don't touch. Otherwise it was a beautiful home. The owners were very easy to work with and gave very good instructions, which were appreciated. I would definitely recommend staying there.
A Beautiful home with EVERYTHING!
Dave and Anne are wonderful to work with. They have carefully decorated and supplied Sleepy Hollow with everything anyone could ask for. Sleepy Hollow is in a great location right on the bank of the South Fork of the Arkansas river. The sound of the flowing water adds a peace to the surroundings that I’ve never experienced before. Our group of 12 was easily accommodated. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans big enough for such a large party. The cabin is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The woodwork is AMAZING! Dave and Anne were very helpful throughout the booking process and our stay. They responded very quickly to every message sent. I can’t wait to go back!
P.S. I would add just one word of caution. If you are visiting in the winter, tire chains or 4WD are a must. We had 4 inches of fresh snow during our visit. (Nearby Monarch Mountain Ski Resort where we skied had over 18 inches.). We would not have made it out without chains or 4WD. Don’t let this scare you, though. Sleepy Hollow is worth ANY effort to stay here.
Peaceful cabin with all the amenities needed
superb cabin that was extremely comfortable 15 a large group. Kitchen had every thing you needed to make meal prep easy and fun. Long kitchen table could fit everyone at once! Enough space to have fun game time for the entire family. Perfect for our ski retreat! About six minutes away From Monarch.
We had a great time at Sleepy Hollow. The cabin is so comfortable, well-equipped, and clean. Pictures don’t do it justice, such a beautiful place. The views are breathtaking. Another plus is that is so close to all the winter activities.
We definitely recommend Sleepy Hollow.
Had a great time!
The cabin was very clean and the owner was extremely helpful with suggestions for fishing spots and ATV trails. Beautiful surroundings! Thanks for everything!
