Exceeded our expectations
From the fresh smell of wood upon opening the door to the design theme throughout the cabin, it was a beautiful cabin. It was very clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view.
Thanks for taking care of the cabin and leaving it in good shape.
This log cabin was just gorgeous! The porch had the most amazing views and we spent hours there.
We had a great experience at this property. The log cabin was beautiful and very well maintained. I wish we could have hiked the property, however the flies would not let us. Dean warned us that the flies would be bad by the river, but didn’t think they would be that bad. Overall, I would recommend this cabin to others and would return. Thank you Dean!
Beautiful Colorado getaway!
The most beautiful and peaceful Colorado mountain experience you’ll find anywhere! A genuine Colorado ranch setting with cattle, horses, deer, foxes - all overlooking a grassy meadow, gentle stream and 14ers in the background. Couldn’t be nicer!!
The cabin is very nice and clean. We were a little worried when we drove in to the property, but once we arrived at the cabin, we felt much better. Everything is new and well-cared for. And the view is so beautiful! We loved sitting on the porch and looking at the mountains in the distance. Another nice thing is how the setting is in the "country" but you are still very close to the town of Salida. I wish the beds would have been more comfortable. They have some sort of plastic mattress pads on them that make them so crinkly and sweaty. And the beds themselves are not comfy. The windows could use blinds too so the morning sun doesn't wake you. There is a beautiful river across the meadow from the cabin. We had visions of walking over there and spending time on the river, but the horse flies were terrible! We got eaten alive! We understand cattle had recently been grazing in the meadow. Maybe that's why the flies were so bad. The river and meadow are so stunning though.
Beautiful property! Rustic atmosphere, fabulous views.
Off the beaten path with a great porch and rockers for coffee. The grandkids loved the herd of Angus grazing each morning. The river offered fishing success even though tricky to get too. We will definitely return!
Amazing cabin with amazing views!!
Wonderful place to stay with breathtaking views!!!!! Close to Salida too!! Only complaint is the road to come in on, but it is a working ranch!!! :)
