Enjoy all this small Adirondack town has to offer! The Cabin is just a 5-minute drive to town, where you can enjoy local shops, restaurants, public park and beach. In the surrounding areas you can explore Gore Mountain, Natural Stone Bridge and Caves, North Creek Railbiking, Adirondack Buffalo Company, Paradox Brewery Tour, Fort Ticonderoga, Lake George, Seagle Festival Theater, and so much more!

SUMMER - Rent a boat at the local marina to enjoy during your stay or relax at the public beach just 3 miles from the Cabin. Paddleboard, swim, fish, or kayak along this pristine nine-mile-long lake. Enjoy a round of golf at the local Schroon Lake Golf Course or hike the many trails offered throughout the Adirondacks.
FALL/SPRING – Enjoy the remarkable, vibrant foliage in the Fall or the lush greenery during the Spring while relaxing on the deck. Love to hike? Schroon Lake offers a wonderland of hiking trails. Easy: Hike around the wooded 10 acres of the Cabin property. Moderate: Severance Mountain - 1.5 miles to a panoramic view at the top. Difficult: Pharaoh Mountain - 2.5 miles to a fire tower at the top. More Difficult: Mount Marcy and other Adirondack High Peaks in the surrounding area.
WINTER - Ski at nearby Gore or famous Whiteface Mountain near Lake Placid. A beginner? Try FREE skiing with rope tow at the local Schroon Lake Golf Course. Not a skier? The Cabin sits on 10 acres of wooded property to explore. Enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or snowmobiling right from the Cabin. Toboggan at the Golf Course, ice skate in town at the FREE rink, or ice fish on nine-mile-long Schroon Lake. Skiing is great in the Eastern Adirondacks and the Schroon Lake Log Cabin is right between two of the best ski centers in the east: Gore Mountain (30min) and Whiteface Mountain (1hr 15min). Enjoy skiing during the day and warming up around the cozy fireplace at night. We will keep plenty of firewood on hand to keep your fire crackling.

Important Notes:
1. Linens (sheets, pillowcases, towels) will not be provided Memorial Day through Labor Day. If you don't plan on bringing them, they are available for purchase locally.
2. Even though the Cabin has a private and remote feel, there is both excellent wifi and cell service throughout the property.
3. Please plan to arrive no earlier than 4:00pm and plan to leave by 11:00am on the day of departure.
4. The driveway is gravel and has a steep hill in the beginning. Sometimes front wheel drive cars when fully loaded and driving slowly can spin tires. The best solution under these conditions is to maintain a brisk speed to the top. We highly recommend 4-wheel drive.
5. There is a security camera at the back of the house pointed solely at the driveway. We understand that privacy is important, so please rest assured that this camera is not actively monitored and only covers the driveway area to enhance property security.
6. If bringing your own boat, please leave it at the bottom of the driveway near the barn.
