The Master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite bath with separate shower and large bathtub. The second bedroom has a queen size bed . Amenities include wireless internet access at no additional charge, central air conditioning, ceiling fans for natural ventilation and a fully equipped kitchen.
Guests of Kumulani at Mauna Kea G2 may purchase daily resort access to enjoy all facilities and amenities at both the Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna Resorts. Access must be purchased for the entire duration of your stay and covers all registered guests in the unit. Please note: This privilege is offered directly by Mauna Kea Resort, and South Kohala Management is not responsible for any changes to resort services or amenities. Rates are as follows: 2025: $130 per day 2026: $150 per day (Base Rate) | $225 per day (Peak Rate). Peak rates apply from March 21-April 11, November 21-27, and December 19-January 2, 2027. 2027: Rates have not yet been determined and are subject to change.

Exceeded our expectations.
We loved everything about this condo. The location, the view, the furnishings. It is clearly a loved second home, and we felt lucky to get to rent it. We enjoyed the patio and the BBQ, and the well stocked kitchen. We will definitely be back.

With our love for the Mauna Kea Resort, this was a perfect alternative to staying at the Resort. With wanting a little more space, the condo was dialed in for our family and was hard to find any reason why we wouldn't want to stay here again. We loved having access to the resort but appreciated the extra room and ability to have a full kitchen, patio, etc. Highly reccomend this listing.

We really enjoyed our 6 nights at the condo. The condo was practically just as listed and was very spacious. We enjoyed the interior as well as the lanai which had a terrific view of the ocean and sat right on the Hapuna golf course. While there are a few minor upgrades I would recommend to the condo/amenities, I would definitely consider staying there again.

Good Location, Poor Set-up
Do not stay here if you want a good nights rest. Sweeping views and quiet neighborhood, ample kitchenware for cooking... but the sleeping situations are awful. The “queen” in the second bedroom will be to most people a full size bed and after talking with management we found that many others have made a similar complaint. It is the tiniest queen you will ever see and cannot comfortably fit two adults. The master-bedroom mattress was a cheap foam that lacked any support and the mattresses on the pull out beds were understandably terrible. Nice to have resort access, love the Hapuna and Mauna Kea Beaches, but will look elsewhere in the area next year.

We appreciate all feedback, and we work tirelessly to be responsive to any guest concerns. In this case, the guest himself measured the bed after first speaking with our office - and his measurements indicated the bed was a standard Queen (60 inches by 80 inches). Upon checkout, a member of our team measured the bed again and verified that it had the correct dimensions - both lengthwise and width. Otherwise, we are happy this guest enjoyed the sweeping views and easy resort access - a few of the reasons this condo has many repeat renters. You are always welcome to come stay with us again, and we will continue providing detailed and accurate descriptions of our properties.

Great Place, Great Price
We spent 5 days here and it worked perfectly for our family of five. The kitchen had great amenities and the bedrooms and living areas were very nice. We were always on the go so didn't spent much time there during the daytime and we didn't use the pool area, but it was nice to come "home" in the evenings to a nice comfortable condo instead of a small hotel room. There were beach towels for us to use and beach toys for the kids to use. My daughters used the boogie boards which worked well for them. They also used the buckets and other sand toys at the beach. It was also great to have a washer and dryer in the condo. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get back to the Big Island.
Also, I can't say enough good things about the team at the management company. We got in late and had to check out a little late as well and they were very accommodating. Overall, a great experience from the condo itself to the customer service. Would recommend for a family of 5 or 6 or would also work well for 2 couples.

Great Condo in Great Location
The condo is very comfortable and clean. We are a family of 6 (4 kids/2 adults) and it worked out pretty well. We thought that the second bedroom had two single beds in it based on the photos we previewed before booking this condo, so, we were surprised that it only had a full size bed in the second bedroom ... that wasn't the best for our our two girls but they made it work. The two couches (den and family room) worked well for our two boys. I was pleasantly surprised by the well-appointed kitchen. The kitchen had so many wonderful appliances and lots of spices/cooking oils/etc. I think this condo would be ideal for two couples if the second bedroom had a queen sized bed. One negative -- the instructions for locating and getting into the condo were hidden inside some correspondence (via a link within an email) from the management company -- so, I think that the management company could communicate these instructions in a more straight forward/obvious manner. Once we got that figured out, we were all set. We highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay there again. Mahalo

We would like to take this time to clarify the bedding situation and also the check-in instructions.
The VRBO/Homeaway listing clearly states, "Second bedroom has a queen size bed and private bathroom" and the photo of that bedroom shows a queen bed.
Now in regards to the check-in instructions, there are two emails that our guest will receive prior to their arrival with this information. The first email will have a subject line that reads, "Final Pmnt Receipt & Check In Directions" and in the body of the letter it reads, "Please review and print the Check-in Instructions to your property by clicking Here." The second email that is sent to our guest will have a subject line that reads, "Getting Ready for your Trip!" and in the body of this letter it read:
"Dear John,
We hope you are excited for your upcoming vacation! Our team is committed to ensuring that your stay with us is one worth repeating.
Once again, you may view a printable version of the check-in directions by clicking Here.
We will be awaiting your arrival at our Mauna Lani Terrace Office, located within the Mauna Lani Resort on your way from the airport. There is a full-service grocery store near our office in the Shops at Mauna Lani for your convenience. Our office is open daily from 9am - 5pm and our check-in time is 3:00pm. If you have purchased the Mauna Kea Resort amenity package then you will need to pick up your resort access packet from the hotel lobby at the Hapuna Prince Beach Hotel. Please make sure to stop at our Mauna Lani Terrace Office to register and pick-up keys to your property BEFORE continuing on to the Hapuna Prince or your rental property.
If you are arriving after 5pm then our office will be closed. You will be able to retrieve the keys and map to your property from our After Hours Box located outside of our office (see check-in directions for detailed instructions). If this is your first time staying with us, you may find this video on our check-in procedures helpful."

This condo was great! There was plenty of space for our family of 4. We loved the view of the ocean from the lanai. The condo gave us the option to eat in and do laundry as needed but also the ability to access the Mauna Kea and Westin resorts on beautiful Hapuna beach. We’ll definitely be back!!
My husband and I love coming to the Big Island. This condo was wonderful! The unit was clean, comfortable, and there was an abundance of sunlight all day!
The kitchen was extremely well appointed and had everything we needed during our stay.
We enjoyed fantastic sunsets and views of the golf course.

This condo/location was an absolute dream. I've traveled to Kona numerous times & I've always wanted to stay in the Mauna Kea area. First of all, the pictures don't even give the condo justice. It is spacious, the Hawaiian decor is just lovely, and fully furnished to fit your needs. It easy fit my family of 5 Comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with every cooking device you could ever want-which for someone that likes to cook while on vacation is such an added bonus. The bottom floor lanai is a must-literally feels like you're walking out into the golf course. We spent all of our time out there, all our meals, morning yoga, kids played in the grass...all with no one around (except the neighborhood cat we named Hapuna) The space was truly a dream come true for vacationing. I have to comment on the neighborhood. Often renters can be treated as "unwanted" guests in private neighborhoods, and this was unexpectedly not the case here. The neighbors were lovely & inviting (brought us fruit & enjoyed the kids being around) I can't say enough about our overall stay here. On a side note we vacationed in Kona during the Coronavirus outbreak & the last week was very much spent "hunkering down". The fact that we were so comfortable as a family both in the condo & in the neighborhood was a life saver. It was honestly hard to leave!
