The Cove on Lake LBJ

This newly remodeled lake house is on a large, peaceful cove of Lake LBJ in Granite Shoals, Texas. Lake LBJ is one of the largest constant-level lakes in the U.S. and is ideal for water-skiing, jet-skiing, boating and fishing. The lake house is in a no wake zone in the cove which is great for swimming and docking boats and personal watercraft. Guests love the super-sized boat and fishing dock. The deck has plenty of room for everyone and is the perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the activity on the lake. The dock also has a water slide or you can have fun kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. The water near the shore is shallow enough for smaller children to wade and gradually gets deeper.

You will enjoy the freshness and cleanliness of this newly remodeled home. It is kept in excellent condition. The kitchen comes completely equipped. All you need to bring are your food and drinks. The living room has a 50 inch TV, a DVD player, a PlayStation and plenty of seating for everyone. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a 32 inch TV and a DVD player. The second bedroom has two queen-sized beds and a TV. The third bedroom has 2 bunks, one with full-sized mattress on bottom. There is also a pack and play, a booster/highchair, movies, and games.

The house is 7 miles from Marble Falls. Marble Falls has great shopping and dining as well as HEB and Wal-mart.

Great Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our weekend here on Lake LBJ. Your place was perfect for my husband and I and 4 preteen girls!! They had a blast sliding on the slide, paddle boarding, kayaking, and running around in your spacious green yard. What an awesome dock and house deck to hang out on. And the cove was so nice and quiet. We hope to come back! You have a great house - very clean and well stocked. You should probably update your photos as it is all much better than what the pictures depict. I would add a picture of your back deck too! Thanks for sharing your wonderful place with us!

Very beautiful spot and comfortable home!

  • 5 of 5

Six women for a girl's getaway enjoyed this beautiful spot on the lake. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfy! Loved the availability of the kayaks and paddle boat. Dock on the lake was a great place to lounge in the sun!!

Fun Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

The house was very nice & clean. Our large group of 11 could have used more room, but it all worked out fine. We spent a lot of time in the lake which was very enjoyable. It advertised 2 kayak's but only had one and the slide was dismantled and we weren't sure how to connect it. I called the owner & left a message but never received a call back, however those were minor problems. The only real problem were all the spider cobwebs on the deck attached to the back of the house and the boat dock. The first evening as we sat on the dock, it seemed to come alive with spiders. Needless to say, the next two nights of our stay, we stayed inside after sunset. There are also ALOT of flying insects in the evening, so guests should be advised to keep all doors and windows closed. However, the house was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your input. One of the kayaks was lost but we have replaced it with a stand up paddle board. The dock was just updated with composite decking before your stay so the slide had not been put back on the dock yet. I should have informed you about these things before your stay. As for the spiders and insect, we are continually maintaining to help but for a few weeks every year they can be pretty annoying. Again, I am happy you enjoyed your stay despite these things. Thanks again.

Awesome stay at lake house

  • 5 of 5

First experience in renting a lakehouse and this one was great! We enjoyed easy access to the lake plus additional water crafts available - kayaks and paddle boat. Kids enjoyed hanging out on the dock and experiencing the lake. Because of our awesome experience we will definitely do this again.

Property is not comfortable for 8 people.

  • 3 of 5

This property is advertised to sleep 10, and it does have beds for 10. However, there were 8 of us and we were very cramped. There are only two very small closets. Parking is scarce for two vehicles. Loose boards on the front porch and deck, and nails protruding from the deck.

Someone had left opened food in the refrigerator and freezer (we moved it to one shelf and were careful not to use it in case it belonged to the owner). There is nothing to put your suitcase on to unpack and no place to put your clothes (bureau or chest of drawers) in any of the rooms. The children's room had no closet or furniture to place clothing and no TV. A metal barstool is used as a bedside table in the master bedroom. There was used bar soap and a razor left in the shower. The outdoor activities were accessible and enjoyable, but the cost of this house far exceeds the value of its advertised amenities.

Owner's Response: We are so sorry that you were not completely happy with your stay. We have already taken steps to improve based on your review. The dock has been updated with composite decking and we are looking into storage solutions for luggage. We may not have been clear about parking but you are free to park anywhere in the front yard, so about five cars will fit. Lastly, we have spoken to house keeping and reminded her to make sure nothing is left in the bathroom or fridge. Thank you so much for staying at our home and helping us to improve it.
