We really enjoyed our week at this house! Great views and location. Living areas were perfect for what we needed. I really love the large round tables in the dining room and on the porch - excellent for family dining and game playing. Wish we could have stayed another week!

Perfect fall weekend in Maine

Beautiful views and location

We had a great week spending time on the front porch and a 10-15 min walk to Short Sands and Nubble Lighthouse. House and fixtures are older and charming, I think this is well represented in the pictures and was fine for us! Bathroom locations weren’t ideal, but it was workable. Host was great at communicating. Overall, I’d recommend this for the amazing views and location!

My cousins & I have stayed all over York over the last 10 years, and we have all decided this was the best house yet. So close to the beach, beautiful view, and that fresh ocean air.... You'll want to come back just for the breeze on the porches. The kitchen has everything you need. The laundry right off the kitchen is so convenient. We brought our bikes & never got in our car the entire week. The day bed was an excellent, comfy option. Thank you for a wonderful week!!

Perfect week!

We had a blast at Short Sands. Our stay at the house was unique and had all we needed! We had groceries delivered right to the door from Hannaford. We enjoyed th Nubble multiple times. Saw a man catch a fish on the rocks. Saw a bald eagle on top of the lighthouse. Went to Goodenrod, Wicked Good Ice Cream, the arcade, bowling, the beach and the fireworks. The house was great. The front porch was our favorite place to sit in the mornings to sip coffee. We had beach towels and chairs and even took a day trip to Lake Winnepesaukee and another day trip to Boston. This was the perfect place to go to both. We flew in and out of Portland and enjoyed another day in Freeport at the LLBean shops. Did Portsmouth for a day and went to the Wentworth by the Sea for Lunch. Thanks to our host for a great week!

Cute cottage with unique flourishes and a wonderful host

We stayed here during the third week of October. We fell in love with pictures of the outside and the location, and it did not disappoint. Communication with Paula was outstanding, and she is just lovely in person! She personally meets you upon check-in and goes over everything you need to know. I personally liked the authentic old-fashioned decorating flourishes... so charming. We lucked out and had beautiful weather, sunny, mid-40s at night, mid-50-60s during the day. I believe we were the last guests of the season. The space heaters were sufficient at night keeping us plenty warm. We knew the bedrooms were upstairs and the bathrooms downstairs. Since we're all seniors, that did present a bit of a challenge at night, but we were ok with it. The location is wonderful with a view of the seacoast and surrounding lovely homes. It's very close to town, and we took several walks in the area. The place is well-equipped. It's an older home, but that adds to the charm. I was very impressed by how clean the entire place is....not easy being older and so near to ocean air!
