Never before available home on the point of a private gated island with 320 degree views of the ocean and marsh on exclusive Edingsville Beach.
Pyramid Pointe is the perfect getaway for those who want great views of the beach and Edisto Island’s unique tidal marsh, in a beautiful and relaxing setting. The house sits at the end of the road with unobstructed views of the marsh and the beach. Pyramid Pointe takes full advantage of the natural beauty that surrounds it, with glass walls in every room facing the ocean, balconies off of each of the three levels, and a large covered porch along the entire creekside of the house. Whether you are watching birds or dolphins in the marsh, or looking out to sea, inside or out, you will be able to appreciate the breathtaking views and tranquility of our unique location.
The house itself, designed to compliment the natural surroundings, combines the privacy of three bedrooms, each with a full bath, with spacious living and dining areas, including a dining table that comfortably seats twelve. The living area includes both a sitting area and a TV area, which includes satellite HDTV. WiFi broadband is provided.
Access to Eddingsville beach is an easy walk or bike ride through the Jeremy Cay community, or a quick paddle or boat ride through the marsh. We have kayaks and/or motorized boats and bicycles for rent. Access to the beach is restricted and it is never crowded. Shells and fossilized sharks teeth are plentiful. Our dock is right behind the house, which provides both easy access to the water, and also a great place to sit and watch the abundant life in the marsh.
The marsh itself is also a wonderful place to explore. From the house you can motor or paddle all the way to Frampton Inlet – a great place to find shells, picnic, or check out the uninhabited island across the channel.
Fishing, shrimping and crabbing can be done from our dock thirty feet from the porch. The creek is accessible by boat or kayak 24 hours a day. Dolphins patrol the creek daily, swimming within 30 feet of the porch and within feet of the dock.
Enjoy the unobstructed view of the beach from decks located on every level with a master bedroom deck 3 stories from the ground. Or relax in the 2 person swinging chair or a rocker on the covered porch while you gaze out on miles of marsh while enjoying the constant sea breeze.
One of the things we love most about Edisto is the fresh local seafood and produce. From the house you will be able to see the shrimp boats that will be delivering their catch to the local seafood markets that day. Our fully equipped kitchen and infrared grill allow you to take full advantage of these delights, although you will also have access to excellent readymade local specialties to eat at home as well as several restaurants.
If you have rented a home at Edisto Beach, Jeremy Cay or Cowpens before, you will find Pyramid Pointe offers a level of privacy and view unmatched by any other property in South Carolina.
Edisto itself offers golf, a state park with several miles of trails for hiking or biking, charter fishing, gift stores, and public beaches. Charleston, with all of its historical sites, fine dining, and aquarium is an easy 45 minute drive.
Come and enjoy what we have had to ourselves all these years, a little piece of paradise surrounded only by nature. Please click the link to our website below for more detailed information.

The Hiller's have been vacationing at Edingsville since 1969 when there were 3 homes on the entire island. The home, known as Pyramid Pointe, was built by our family in 1986 and just recently completely renovated.
The Owner purchased this house in 1986
Edisto Island is what Hilton Head was in the 1960's, secluded, quiet and without commercial development. It is the only island remaining in South Carolina that fits that description. Laid back, quiet, uncrowded, pristine all describe life on Edisto.
No neighbors, cars or crowds. At Pyramid Pointe it is your option whether you ever see another soul or remain surrounded only by nature and the many birds and animals that live there. No where else can you look across the marsh, beach and ocean for 15 miles without seeing another building.
Beautiful property with very unique home. The views are amazing, and the proximity of fun is better than any place we've every stayed on Edisto. We loved direct access to the creek, yoga class on the dockside deck, evenings on the porch swing, bike rides or paddling to the beach, and a lovely bike ride to Botany Bay. Thank you!
I would like to preface this review by stating that my family grew up making annual trips from Northern Ohio to Edisto Island, SC. We have stayed at the State Park, Beachfront Housing and everything in between. Took a six year hiatus and after deciding to return hesitantly settled on Pyramid Pointe as our home base. While some of the changes to the island were disturbing/disappointing - Golf Carts EVERYWHERE, no Bell Buoy Seafood, Piggly Wiggly now called Bi-Lo! - Pyramid Pointe brought us back to the Edisto we knew and loved. As the owner states, be it in a more kind southern way, this is NOT a house for Yuppies (never fear Yuppies... a portion of Edisto Island now seems ready for you). Our Edisto reunion include a new generation (two children under two) and the Pyramid Pointe location provided endless entertainment for all ages. Rent the boats (all of them), bring your bikes (a very nice ride through a soon to be developed area ending where Scott Creek hits the ocean) and leave your golf cart at home!
For anyone asking "Where's the Beach?"... it is about a quarter mile in front of Pyramid Pointe!
Wonderful place to stay. Spent most of our time on the porches of Pyramid Pointe or out on the water and the beach. A few maintenance issues that were quickly resolved.
We have used VRBO several times throughout the years, all over the country-and have visited Edisto specifically several times. We tried out this house because of its location- we expected rustic- but the home was filthy! There were rodent droppings and poision strewn throughout the kitchen, rendering it unsafe for routine use...when you see the poison pellets pulled through the kitchen cabinets/floor like that you can infer that rodents could have drug them anywhere. Truly unsafe ..we would have had to undertake much cleaning in order to make this a serviceable and safe home for our young families.
We abandoned the home on Sunday- and moved to a new property.
The homeowner refused to refund even half of the rent.
-Poision on countertops, shelving, and in kitchen drawers- including silverware drawers. This is very dangerous for preparing food and young children
-The 'bed in the closet' was not a usuable bed in a cubby, rather it proved to be a tattered, dirty mattress tossed haphazardly into the bedroom closet full of broken hangers and paper.
-More than one closet was stuffed full of dusty odds and ends- perfect haven for rodents.
-light fixtures above the beds full of insects
-bedspreads sandy, and pet fur dappled. Pillows dirty and stained.
-unreasonably thick film of dust on surfaces.
-to be fair the inside of the refrigerator and bathrooms were fairly clean, with the exception of a little mildew in the shower.
Again- way more like camping than the price suggested! I expect these homes that are unused much of the year and are in areas like Edisto to have the occasional insect or evidence of critters. This home was actually very dirty and appeared to be infested with mice.
I was disappointed that the owner refused even a partial refund. Though we had to pay for another home, I feel very fortunate that a local property management company employee was able to help us move right away or we would have had to sacrifice the vacation we look forward all year and head home- staying in this home was not an option for our family.
The owner wasn't very willing to offer much in the way of customer service, he offered to have his cleaners out, but we had already vacated, and I didn't have any faith in his cleaners at that point! One night was enough!
Again, after 8 years of VRBO hosted family vacations, this is literally the first complaint I have ever made.
This property is a bit more expensive than average, and not worth it.
We really enjoyed our stay at Edisto Island. The view from the house was spectacular. The sunrises are breath taking. On our first day there, we saw two bald eagles perched on the chimney of the house. Being able to paddle around in the kayaks was so much fun for our teenaged children. Thank you so much, it was a trip to remember.
My family and I just returned from the most wonderful weekend. Pyramid Point is an extremely unique house that is perfect for a group to relax, explore, cook, and do outdoor activities. The three bedrooms were exactly what we needed and it was wonderful that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The owners were easy to deal with and the description on the VRBO website aligned to exactly what the house had to offer.
The views from every room in the house were absolutely breathtaking and watching the dolphins swim by the dock and the birds in the marsh was so peaceful.
The kitchen was big enough for six cooks to do their thing and the large dining table was perfect for long family dinners and breakfasts.
The walk to the beach is easy and the shells one can find on the beach are amazing!
The town of Edisto is quaint and charming.
It was a wonderful experience that we hope to make an annual trip out of!
Edingsville Beach is Unsurpassed in Sharks Teeth and Fossils. Hop in a boat at our dock located 30 feet from the porch and be fishing in Frampton creek or at the beach in minutes.
