We found this charming house and at first we were thinking of just having a summer home. We were quickly smitten and its become our year-round residence. Since my partner and I are both art and architecture professionals, we can't help but imbue our home with clean lines and art. We hope you enjoy our selections!

Why they chose this property

I lived in NYC and then in Westchester and was longing for country quiet and scenery and there is nothing lovelier than Columbia County. But it's not just beautiful. Not only are we surrounded by hiking, swimming, skiing, and boating, we also have the best cultural advantages of art and performance available within 20 minutes drive. There's the Fisher Center at Bard, Kaatsbaan in Tivoli, and 30 minutes away, multiple venues in Hudson, Kingston and Rhinebeck. You could say we're in the center of the action and at the same time, enjoying quiet splendor.

We also love all the neighboring farms with their markets, hiking trails and community gatherings.

What makes this property unique

Just two hours from NYC, located 30 minutes from the towns of Rhinebeck and Hudson, 10 minutes to Red Hook and Tivoli. The Hudson Valley has much to offer. Wonderful restaurants in all these surrounding towns and the Culinary Institute is in Hyde Park, home of FDR. Olana, Bard College, and Omega Institute surround us and much more.
