Friendly Native #605

A modern and updated 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 3rd floor/ top floor condo. (3rd floor walk up- no elevators.) Located within walking distance to to some of the most popular beach restaurants and venues in St Pete Beach! A short walk out to the to the heated community pool or walk to the beach in just a few minutes to put your toes in the gulf, grab a beach chair sit back and relax. There are trolleys close by that can take you to Downtown St Pete, Pass a Grille or Clearwater. Close to John's Pass for even more restaurants and shopping. It is your choice to sit and relax or go exploring to different islands, museums, the micro breweries, movies and nightlife that the beach and downtown St Pete has to offer.

Wall mounted smart TVs in the living room and the bedrooms. A newly remodeled walk in shower. Stainless steel upgraded appliances in the kitchen. Plus...a wine fridge! Condo sleeps 4: 1 Queen bed in each bedroom. Sectional sofa in living room has recliners at both ends, great for movie nights when you aren't dancing the night away at the local beach bars.

Friendly Native is a family friendly resort. There is no smoking in the condo and pets are not allowed. This complex does not have evelators, stairs only.

Distance from Beach:

Friendly Native 605 is located on Upham Beach in famous and award winning St Pete Beach.
The Beach is located across a few parking spaces from Condo and over the dunes (boardwalk): 125 feet +/- to the beach 300 +/- feet to the water.

Buildings 100-400 are around the pool, buildings 500-800 are around the shuffleboard Court. This condo is in building 600.

Electronic lock for easy/late check-ins

Wi-fi, cable, linens & towels are included.

Unfortunately, there are no laundry facilities onsite and routine housekeeping services are not included with these vacation rentals.


Beach Cabanas, chairs and umbrellas are available for rent directly in front of condos, on the beach. There are also plenty of surf/beach stores within walking distance to pick up any beach items you may need.

There is a BBQ area on site as well as bike racks.

A close walk to many popular beach bars & restaurants and ice cream!

Shopping is close by.

Many guests do not bring a car, however 1 electronic parking permit is included if needed!

Sorry, no pets allowed per HOA. Strongly enforced.

Great Location

We booked very short notice for our trip. The location was nice right off the beach across a parking lot. The pool was heated and enjoyable. Within walking distance to many restaurants and shops, and we also took a freebie ride one evening that takes you where you need.

Great stay, beautiful condo

We have stayed in many different condos at The Friendly Native and Gulf Winds over the years. This one was by far the nicest. It is updated with adequate outlets to charge our phones and devices. The kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals. Lots of games in the closet to play. Great location with just a two minute walk to the beach.

Great location to beach

Great location to the beach. The property was very clean and very comfortable other than water pressure in the shower as it was not strong enough to wash soap off of your body or shampoo out of your hair. This would be the only issue that would deter me from re booking this property as others complained of the same issue in other locations of the property.

Thanks for the heads up Eric. We shared your review with the owner: they replaced the luxury rainfall shower head with a more traditional shower head that guests might be more used to. Hopefully it helps!

Overall great! Very Easy to get to beach.Parking is easy. It’s near a public beach access. The apartment buildings are old and out dated.the interior of the apartment is clean , modern, and comfortable. The unit is on the third floor with no elevator so not good for limited physical ability. The stairway is narrow and smells musty.

100% accurate

2 minute walk to beach. Can walk to anything you need, 20 restaurants/bars in both directions walking within a mile. Beach restaurants/bars right there. Dont need to Uber around, we rented a car and didn't move it once we got there. Beach had chairs and umbrella rental. It was more than we expected. Beach was nice and clean, police patrol a loy. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Our visit was absolutely perfect! The location of the condo was great! The beach is just a short stroll. Many great restaurants within walking distance. We’d highly recommend Sola and Snappers to the south and Buoy to the North. We are both walkers so walking about a mile to the Publix was an easy walk. There is still several places that are not open due to hurricane Helene but that just gives us another reason to come back! We had an issue with the AC but it was fixed the next morning. Anytime I’d reach out, I received a timely response. The pool was a great place to relax after the beach. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed. We did not do any cooking so I’m not sure if it will have what you need! We’d definitely stay here again!

Newly renovated, close to the beach, great location

The condo has been newly renovated, so all new appliances, flooring, bedding, etc. Kitchen was fully stocked with new cookware and dishes, along with all of the 'extras' you may need such as cooking spray, ziploc, storage containers, etc. We found 3 beach chairs in the closet also which were very useful. The walk to the beach is extremely short, in that you can even walk back to the condo to refill your cooler or use the restroom. Also, the walk to dinner and shopping is easy as well. We loved this place, and would go back if given the opportunity. We originally couldn't find the front entrance so came in the back entrance by mistake which lead to a small stairway. The front entrance is very nicely landscaped, so be sure to go that route when you arrive. Back door is perfect to head to the beach later. Parking was always available and close to the condo. Overall stay was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Nice beach, clean unit but no plans to stay there again!

The unit was updated and clean. The building was old with no elevator and narrow stairs. No laundry available. We paid a hefty cleaning fee and it was noted in a few places in the unit that we had to load and unload dishwasher and put away or would be fined additional $25. Had to take the trash out and be out of unit on time not a minute later or hefty fines. We did all of above but felt this was a little rude! Also there was an envelope to tip the cleaning people after paying for their service and doing above whereas in most rentals these are not expected!
