Why Lauren T chose Belle Vista
I'm born and raised in Tampa and have been coming to the Gulf beaches all my life. Owning this beachfront condo is a dream come true for our family! St. Pete Beach has been my favorite beach for years. From my childhood, to young adult years and now as a Mom, St. Pete Beach has something for everyone! I love swimming in the balmy gulf waters and laying on our soft sand. When I'm ready for a change of scene, I can walk over to the many ice cream shops, mini golf, restaurants, shops and bars that sprinkle Gulf Blvd. I love being able to access downtown St. Pete in 15 minutes for all the culture, shopping and more that downtown has to offer as well. Tampa is only 35 minutes away so it's an easy day trip for me to come enjoy all this paradise has to offer!

Property on beach with side view of Gulf. Great location easy access to many things to see and do.
Location is great!
Overall, we had a grand stay. A few small problems: The pull-out couch is NOT comfortable for an adult, and the "conventional coffee maker" is a Keuric with one refillable cup -- which made coffee-making for a group messy and cumbersome. Would we come again, though? You bet!!
Beautiful location, but you get what you pay for
This condo is in a great location, and is an affordable way to stay right on the beach. The common pool area and hot tub were lovely. It was cheaper than other listings in the area, but you do get what you pay for. I understand that if they remodeled, they could then charge more. So I tried to be ok with the tired feel.
BUT.... some things were simply not excusable.
The front "bedroom" had burnt out light bulbs, leaving it dark, dusty, and dreary (it's not nearly as cute as that sunny looking photo). We never could get the tv remote in that room to work. The top bunk is so wobbly and unstable, that my husband didn't feel the structure was safe enough for any of us to sleep on. So we ended up using the pull out couch instead. Grateful for that backup option.
Every hand soap dispenser (even dish washing soap) was so watered down... they were almost ENTIRELY water. That's not even hygienic, to not provide a way for guests to thoroughly clean their hands!
We tried to cook one night. No soup/water pot to boil spaghetti. Dirty pots, pans, lids, cookie sheets (still had crusts of something stuck on them), and filthy glasses.
The other reviewer is correct, and the blinds still do not work properly, with no wands to tilt them.
The "sand toy" closet is booby trapped, so open if you dare! I had a bag of toys come cascading down on my head when I tried to open it. It's so shoved full of rusted, broken items that it made any of the contents virtually unusable. And there's also a sign from the owner that if you didn't get it completely re-packed and closed you'd be charged $50. We were to scared to attempt to dig through it, for fear we wouldn't be able to get everything back in. This is usually a big perk to me for renting a beach condo, but we ended up just buying a few beach toys of our own. The owners need to just clean this out, keep the decent items that fit, and pitch the rest.
And provide non-diluted soap, for goodness sake! Not sure where the disconnect is with your cleaning service... but you need to make sure you're providing soap for your guests.
Also be prepared for notes everywhere from the owner on what they want you to do before you leave - take out the garbage, run the dishwasher, re-pack the sand toy closet, launder all the towels. Yeah. Ugh. We did it all... you're welcome. Then I went to a gas station and WASHED MY HANDS.
I never heard about any of these issues from the guest during her stay, I wish she had reached out to me so we could have remedied some of these cleaning issues right away. I talked to my cleaning lady and told her to stop diluting the soap, no idea why she did that but there is plenty of soap there now. I also reminder her to go through every kitchen drawer and cabinet because apparently people put back dirty things. We upgraded all the kitchen pots in March 2020. I’m sorry these issues became such a downer for this guest. The beach closet is small and does require a little effort to put things back but has plenty of chairs, toys, and an umbrella. This is our family’s vacation home too and I personally go through everything in that closet every couple months to get rid of anything that’s gotten broken or rusted from
the salt water. This guest had stayed in January and it had been a couple months since I had gone thru it so I’m sorry she felt like she couldn’t use anything but that’s what it’s there for! There is also a big bin of sand toys down by the pool
for guest use. Taking your garbage out and running the dishwasher, and putting back all the toys and chairs you take out of the closet, this is standard procedure at a beach rental. there’s a note to please start a load of towels before you leave (if you have time). The second bedroom bunk room is mainly meant for kids, ( usually if two families stay the parents can sleep on the double bunk down below or the pull out the sofa),there are two windows in the room, we’ve added black out shades since the sun rises on that side of the building so that guests can sleep in but if you just raise the shades there is plenty of sun light as well as an overhead light and a lamp on the dresser as well.
My girlfriends and I have been getting together for a week away to celebrate our "red hat" birthdays in the St Pete's Beach area yearly and we enjoyed our stay at Lauren's condo this month. The hot tub wasn't working right and one phone call later, she responded immediately and had it fixed. There were plenty of kitchen items for cooking, a closet full of chairs and toys for the beach, soft towels, extra pillows & blankets, and best of all, the short walk to the beach.
Looking forward to our next time
