You’ve found your gateway to all these and more.

When was the last time you’ve smelled a sweet fragrance of Plumeria?

Do you love to watch the beautiful sunset at ‘Aneho’omalu bay, or watch the humpback whales breech over the horizon, or how about watching hot lava flow down Kilauea Volcano? What ever you decide to do today, you’ll make memories in Hawaii.

These are some of activities my family loves to do in the Big Island of Hawaii. And the activities are endless. Biking, hiking, snorkeling, diving, sports fishing, golfing, zip lining, wind surfing, para surfing, list can go on and on, oh yea, shopping and fine dining. Or you can even do NOTHING!! What a great place to spend your vacation!!

Our villa is situated in the beautiful Waikoloa Beach Resort, a former playground of Hawaiian Kings . Waikoloa Beach Resort is about 30 minutes north of Kailua Kona and Kona International Airport. Our villa is a ten minute walk to the beach! The villa over looks the 3rd green of Beach Course, providing tranquility from noise and activities of swimming pool. Yet swimming pool is walk across to next building. Look further out the villa, you will see the Kohala Mountains with coconut palms, lava rocks, and hibiscus and plumeria flowers filling in the scenery.

The entry floor leads you to a spacious and open living quarters, furnished to invite you, your family or friends to open up to share day’s events or to just relax and listen to the sounds of Hawaii. The fully furnished kitchen entices you to bring out your culinary creativities to create Hawaiian delicacies. Or you may decide to utilize the summer kitchen, out in the patio, to barbeque your catch out in the ocean or fresh meat from near by Parker Ranch.

The master bedroom overlooks 8th green of world famous Beach Course of Waikoloa Golf course. The master bedroom and the lanai provide a tranquil escape from the rest of the house, so you can relax, read, or have your personal time. The lanai is my favorite part of villa. The sunrise over Kohala Mountains and serene vista of golf course provide the lanai a perfect place to start out your day.

The villa is conveniently located few minute walking distances to King’s Shops and Queen’s MarketPlace. You’ll find fine dining like Roy’s or fine boutique like Louis Vuitton, Coach, Macy’s, Tommy Bahama’s and other jewelries, art galleries and gift shops at the King’s Shops. Or you can step over to Queen’s MarketPlace for daily Hawaiian experience at the Coronation Pavilion, dining at Sanei’s or Romano’s Macaroni Grill, and more boutiques and shops.

What more can be said about the Villa? You just need to dream and plan and visit our Hawaiian paradise. You will be very pleased with your choice staying our villa and our paradise.

Does Not Really Sleep 8! Otherwise Very Nice

Overall, this property is very lovely. It is well-stocked with starting toiletries, cooking supplies, towels and linens, and it is spotlessly clean. There are plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, and several coolers. Access to shopping, beaches, and restaurants cannot be beat. Overall, I would very highly recommend this property and would give it five stars…as long as you don’t need the sofa bed. Unfortunately, our party did need it, and my recommendation is colored by our experience with it.

This property is advertised as sleeping 8--3 rooms with queen or king beds and a loft with pull out sofa bed. Our party of 7—three couples and my single sister--required all of these. I called Resortica Hawaii two weeks prior to arrival to inquire further about the sofa bed because my sister has back trouble. They told me that the mattress is very thin and not recommend for my sister…but it’s a double bed so one of the couples could sleep on it. I found it an unsatisfactory suggestion—that a couple should give up a private room for the duration of a vacation. Upon arrival, I discovered that the pull-out mattress was shockingly unacceptable, especially compared to how lovely the rest of the unit was. It was indeed thin (barely 2”) and was basically a set of springs with a piece of fabric over them. After two days of phone tag Resortica Hawaii (the management company) provided a high-quality air mattress. This, combined with a gel mattress pad that my family brought with them in a suitcase, provided comfortable accommodations for my sister.

This situation added undue stress to the beginning of our vacation and could have been avoided by the unit owners stepping up to improve the sofa bed. In fact, Resortica Hawaii staff informed us that a recent review of the entire property had revealed the sofa bed’s poor quality, and they had informed the owners that it should be replaced. It is ridiculous that the owners advertise this unit as sleeping 8. I would not recommend ANYONE sleeping on that sofa bed. They’d end up miserable with backaches and no sleep for their vacation.

We have purchased a high quality air mattress and will have it available for future renters. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the rest of the condo. We agree that it is truly lovely. A fantastic stay!

My family and I stayed for 10 nights this January and I can’t say enough about how well appointed this condo/villa is. The kitchen has just about every small appliance you need and all are top quality. Short of the food, you will not be needing anything to cook your own meals. I can’t think of anything missing, needed or wanted during our stay.

My children loved playing outside in the grass next to the lanai which made our grilling and evening meal preparations more enjoyable having the kids outside and out of the kitchen.

The beach is very close, (approx 0.4 miles) very children friendly with little wake. Other great beaches close by within 10-15 minutes driving. The shops at the kings and queens are within walking distance and have pretty much anything you may need in a pinch in order to save a trip into town.

I would certainly stay again as it was a very relaxing and enjoyable villa.

Home Away From Home!

November 28 - December 8, 2010. I should mention that we escaped Seattle after having a week of record breaking low temperatures in the teens, so Hawaii was like heaven on earth!

This was our fourth time to the Big Island and the third time within the Waikoloa Resort area. We have rented a different condo/villa each visit, but this one surpassed our expectations! The villa was beautifully furnished, yet very comfortable. It also had all the amenities of home (paper towels, toilet paper, fully stocked kitchen, laundry soap, the list goes on...). That might not seem that important to some, but we have rented places that don't even give you toilet paper (not a nice suprise when you check-in)! This was also the cleanest property we have ever stayed in.

The Concierge (Bennett) was also an unexpected benefit. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the pools were quiet while we were there. Basically had them to ourselves. I would recommend this villa to people of all ages.

It is located about 15-20 minutes from the airport and 30-35 minutes to Kona. Once you get to the villa, you have everything within a short walking distance: shopping (the Queen's and King's Shops), restaurants, golf, and a nice beach (it's cool to watch the turtles sunning on the rocks). It is also a nice and safe area for walking/running.

One final note: We brought out own, but didn't find the beach towels until the day we left (look in the chest by the front door).
