13 Georgia had it all: from our first approach and view of the lake to the quintessential Cape Cod home. We entered through the garage which looked like Disney does water toys - everything you could ask for in tubes, kayaks, chairs...something for every age child! The kitchen was very important to us as we all cook and I had family on the Cape that would be joining us, so the 10-top table was a bonus. The first floor and deck was just one group seating area after another. The double-twin bedroom was perfect for a friend with bad knees (with an ensuite!) and the two rooms upstairs were generous for two more singles and coordinating bathrooms. The home was meticulously clean (thank you, Fernanda) and Susan, our host, was available around the clock. We did have a few questions and she was always there to help. The basement was a hoot! While we didn't use it (pool table and ping pong), there was a separate suite with tv and bath. The laundry room was massive and equipped. We had fun reading all of the messages written on the walls! The house was obviously a family home. It had family and love written all over it. It was cosy, inviting and delightful. It's meant for people to gather in and visit. I would return again and again if only to make a dent in it's massive library! There were only two things I would mention that would have been helpful: the kitchen could use more lighting and a sharpening steel for the knives. There was a small hand sharpener, but not efficient.

We love to share our home on the Cape with others. It is such a magical place from beach days, to biking, to hiking, to watching the night sky light up with stars or roasting marshmallows in the fireplace on the deck...or just hanging out on the deck drinking your morning tea or coffee and watching the sky wake up.

Why they chose this property

We love the location, down a quiet dirt road, nestled among beech and oak trees with just a few neighbors on the road. It is so convenient to hop on the nearby Cape Cod Rail Trail or drive 10 minutes to the Bay or the Sound or head out to Nauset Beach where the surf is great to boogie board in 20 minutes. Just 1.5 miles to the Route 6 or 3 miles to route 6A.

What makes this property unique

We have repeat guests, some over twenty years. Everyone says that our place is exactly as described- and 5* reviews. They feel at home and treat it like their own home. We love that!
You never have to bring your own beach chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, skim boards, umbrellas, SUP, canoes or kayaks- they are all right there.
