Overview

About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Stay in our immaculate deluxe condo, and enjoy paradise as you've never experienced. With a pull out sofa in the living room, it accommodates up to four people comfortably. A fully equipped kitchen provides just about everything needed to stay in, and prepare meals. Or, choose to walk to the end of the building and BBQ. For going out, we'll provide suggested hot spots that previous renters, as well as myself, have enjoyed, and I'm sure you'll find helpful in planning your trip. The floors are tile throughout. Stay cool with ceiling fans, and an air conditioning unit if needed. Just a minute away is the 30' x 60' swimming pool, and laundry facility.

We are in a prime location in the back of the complex, which many appreciate being away from the night noise from the restaurants and bar, yet only a two minute walk to the beach where you can swim, snorkel, boogie board, soak in the sun, or the beautiful evening sunsets, all while in beach chairs or on beach towels. Travelers have found South Kihei one of their favorite spots if not the best. We mean to please, and you'll leave wanting to return.

About Jeff Corcoran

Patrick and Lee are the owners and live in California. Patrick is originally from Michigan and now a retired real estate broker. Lee is from Maine and a retired RN. They have 5 children, with 2 in CA and 3 out of state. They have 2 daughters and 4 granddaughters in the State of Washington. Also, one son is in Minnesota with 2 granddaughters.

When not in Maui they like traveling to see other parts of the world and experience other cultures.

Jeff Corcoran purchased this condo in 2001

Why Jeff Corcoran chose South Maui

We visited all the Hawaii Islands, but settled on Maui, because it was not too quiet and not too busy. KKN appealed to us because it was a low-rise complex, lush tropical gardens, mixed with the tall flame trees, palm trees and the nearby Kamaole II beach. The lanai on the 2nd level with the mountain/garden view was a strong appeal.

What makes this condo unique

Our condo is in the back of the complex in a quiet area away from the road traffic and restaurants.

Close to the beach. Nicely kept condo! Loved it.

The owners were incredibly responsive from booking through departure. Great to work with. The condo was clean, comfortable, and close to a lot in central and south Maui. The condo has a hair dryer but it isn't listed in the appliances, so you don't have to bring one. The condo had tile floors, which are a requirement with all the sand, but if you are used to carpet, you may want to bring slippers. Mahalo!

Condo Unit 259, Kihei Kai Nani,2495 South Kihei Road

  • 4 of 5

This unit appears to be a fairly standard offering at this price. It is well located on the main commercial strip and convenient for gas, groceries, liquor and low to mid-cost restaurants. It does not have a water view at least in the most easterly direction due to a bend in the private access road.

The owner is very obliging and very straight forward to deal with. The only problem was that we were not used to the small lockbox - didn't even see it at midnight. The given combo did not open this lockbox. but the guard sorted it out for us. Would recommend at $150 US per night.

Enjoy your stay

  • 5 of 5

We like the condo and returned for the second time. It's very clean and only 3 minutes walk to the Kamaole Beach II. Very comfortable vacation place. The kitchen had every appliance and kitchen tool we needed. All sorts of towels were provided along with beach chairs, although they are slightly outdated in the meantime. Beds were very comfortable, even the pullout couch was great! Quiet place away from the street - the birds are still around :-). Jeff is great to deal with. All questions were answered immediately. W'll be back.

Aloha!

Hot and Grumpy

  • 3 of 5

First of all our hosts were great. Very nice and accommodating. Top shelf people. The facility leaves a little to be desired. The full time condo owners don't really like the transients. Very quick to point out rules and enforce them. Typical condo cops. We kind of expected that but it was over the top at this place.

But that's not the real problem. The real problem is the air conditioning. There is a small window type unit that cools the space. The a/c technician that sized the unit missed by a mile. It was hot. We actually had to avoid the condo until after dark when it could get it to about 80 in the bedroom. It's hard for domesticated people to sleep in those conditions. We actually went out to the rental car several times to cool off.

Again kudos to the condo owners. But we went too cheap this time. You get what you pay for but a little heads up from the owners on the inadequate a/c would have changed our decision.

Can't get better than this!

We were pleasantly surprised with the condo. It was a quiet, laid back oasis near the beach. Room was comfortable and filled with necessary amenities. Planning to return soon with friends. Mahalo for the experience and 5 stars for the place.

A beautiful place to stay in Maui

  • 5 of 5

I picked this condo out of a list and it happened to be available for the my visit during Christmas and New Year. What a beautiful condo. Very well maintained. It has everything you would need for staying there and going to the ocean. During the holidays I made cookies and pie and holiday dishes and this condo had everything. I just supplied the food. The owner is easy to work with and is available to talk to if you need help. I needed to find the laundry basket. The condo management is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean, beautiful, and quiet. Even on New Years eve I was able to sleep. Tip: Learn the trade winds and you wont need the air conditioner. It works well and with the ceiling fans on it cools that whole place. However, in the evening when the trade winds lessen you can open a couple of bedroom windows and cool the whole place you may need the ceiling fans. You can also hear all the wonderful birds singing. I love that there are no sirens, helicopters etc. Only nature. The beach is a very short walk and I recommend going to the right for some great restaurants. Some friends took me to Coconuts right next door it was amazing. Thank you such a memorable and comfortable stay.
