We stayed 8 nights at this beautiful house. It was exactly as described and the owners were quick to respond to questions during our stay. It was conviently located to Shenandiah National Park for hiking. We wiuld definitely stay here again!
We had a nice stay here. The space overall was comfortable, and we would stay again. The host was super fast to respond to questions. The beds were decently comfortable, the furniture was in good condition, and the view was AMAZING. The space was good for kids. I was worried about the roads, and while the driveway was steep and we didn't chance it, there was a small lot right above the house that was fine for parking. A couple of small changes would have added an extra star: the cookware was very scratched/cheap nonstick, which I don't like cooking for kids in. The cupboards were pretty dirty inside with spilled food and dust and had old open food boxes that were spoiled. I had to clean it myself before putting our food away. The main living area gets super sunny in the evening (beautiful sunsets!) but it's really intense - some blinds or curtains on the rest of the windows would help a lot. These were all little things though, and like I said, we had a nice time and would stay again.
Clean cabin with a beautiful view. Spacious and well prepared. Mini splits in every bedroom make it easy to set different temps for different guests, if that’s important. A great place for a quiet and relaxing stay.
The house was in a quiet, beautiful area. It was everything you would need for a weekend get away. The view is spectacular and the house is close enough to Shenandoah National Parks and Skyline Drive that it is only a short drive away. It's a newly constructed home so landscaping is not complete, the driveway is steep but we did not have a problem getting up or down with our conversion van. Sitting out on the deck, listening to the birds and looking at the gorgeous view was so relaxing! We had our two pups with us and they enjoyed the trip immensely!
I will start with the view blows every issue you may have or find out of the water .The house was clearly built quickly to be an Vrbo. Nothing is high end, and everything is a little unfinished. But it serves its purpose. The floors are also really loud as you move around, only really matters at night. The loft has no door, just as an FYI. It didn't matter to us, but if you're three people/ couples it may matter to you. You can't sit and watch TV later at night if you put kids up there because it's pretty much open to the downstairs. The bed in one room are really low to the floor as shown in the picture. Last note is that the driveway is definitely steep and I wouldn't do it without a four wheel drive. There is a place to park at the top of the driveway on the road but you'll have to walk down the driveway to get to the house. All that being said I just did not care about any of that. The views are the best I've personally ever witnessed from a house. We literally had almost every type of weather over the long weekend. Sunny and warm to rain to total fog. Watching the changes outside was just so cool. Watching the birds soar, and taking the time to just be there was everything. I would go back in a heart beat. The location is pretty great. My husband hiked in Shenandoah and enjoyed it. Luray Caverns is amazing. Wine lovers - go to Wisteria Farm! All types of wine for those that like sweet to earthy. And it's so close! Thank you!
The views from this property are absolutely insane! As soon as you walk in you are hit with stunning views and everything is just warm and welcoming. The driveway is steep so either have 4 wheel drive or just leave your car up top. Place was very clean and organized. If you are going for hiking, you have so many options it's insane. If you want to just get away and relax, it's perfect for that too. There is grocery stores and a Walmart about 15-20 minutes away so if you forget anything, it's not a big deal. Absolutely loved this house, thank you so much for letting us stay there!
The view was beautiful at this property, unfortunately it wasn’t very clean. One of the beds in the room was broken, there was what appeared to be bloodstained on floor. I’m pretty disappointed with the quality of the house/cabin. I expected better 2 of the four burners on the stove didn’t work, something leaked in the fridge from previous guest (I assume) and it wasn’t cleaned, a cup was broken in the cabinet, laundry was still in the dryer so I had to move it to do my own laundry, and the little pond in the picture is deceiving we walked for a long time through the area and couldn’t find it. I’d post a video of the broken bed but it won’t let you post videos

Hello, we want all of our guests to have a five star stay and this is the first time we’ve had a guest that was dissatisfied. We could not find any stains anywhere, if you could send us a picture, we would appreciate it. Perhaps one of the slats was loose on the bed and fell out? The guest that checked in after you did not mention it, and it looked good when we stopped by to fix it. The pond is less than a mile away and there is a map to it as well with recommendations to drive there. Although it’s close, there are a number of hills, which is why we have directions and recommendations to drive. Our Cleaning Company leaves fresh towels for everybody, and also leaves a load of dry ones in the dryer in case you need more. We wish you would’ve reached out and we could’ve remedied everything for you immediately.. as always we hope all of our guests have a five star stay and would appreciate the chance to make it up to you.
