River's Bend Ranch est un ranch invité et un lieu d'événement détenu et exploité par la famille McConnell depuis près de 40 ans. Nous sommes assis sur plus de 250 hectares magnifiques nichés entre les Blue Ridge Mountains et la forêt nationale George Washington. Avec un demi-mile de rivage sur la rivière Shenandoah, et plus de 20 chambres sur le site, RBR offre le cadre idéal pour les réunions de famille, mariages et réceptions, retraites de groupe, ou tout simplement un week-end calme.
Au ranch, vous pourrez profiter de la pêche, de l'observation des oiseaux et des sentiers pédestres, ainsi que des jeux de pelouse et de notre salle de jeux intérieure. Des promenades le long de notre morceau de South Fork de Shenandoah sont disponibles pour les invités et le grand public, et peuvent adapter à n'importe quelle capacité de conduite.
Avec la ville pittoresque de Luray, ses célèbres Caverns, et l'incroyable Skyline Drive à quelques kilomètres, RBR offre un accès à des activités pour tous les goûts et tous les âges.

Le plus grand de nos suites cabine, le LODGE dispose de trois chambres et peut accueillir 8 personnes. Il dispose d'une disposition à aire ouverte avec un salon confortable, une cuisine entièrement équipée et une table à manger pour 6 personnes. C'est la seule unité avec une laveuse et sécheuse, et dispose également d'une télévision par câble à écran plat et un accès wifi. Le linge de maison et les ustensiles de cuisine sont fournis. Il y a deux salles de bain complètes, avec un jacuzzi dans le maître. Chaises à bascule sur le porche couvert, wrap-around sont l'endroit idéal pour déguster une tasse de café et des vues incroyables sur les montagnes environnantes! Les clients auront également accès à l'espace commun extérieur commun avec foyers et barbecue à gaz - bois de chauffage et propane fourni.

The Deluxe Lodge Cabin was exactly as advertised. Super clan, super comfortable. We enjoyed it as our base of operations for a long ski weekend. We will return!

House was welcoming and clean. Check-in/out process and communication was great. Close to another cabin but wasn't an issue at all. Loved seeing the longhorns right in front of the porch, And being able to roam around the property. Overall great stay and would definitely return!

Beautiful setting, with all the amenities of home.

The Lodge was clean and we'll equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed using the grill and watching the stars come out. We also appreciated the chance to meet the horses in the show barn, which was a thrill for the kids.

Weekend escape to the mountains with family

We had an incredible time this weekend at the cabin. It was spotless, well-stocked, and the online pictures didn't do it justice. This place exceeded our expectations! The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. When my girls decided they want to go horse back riding I was nervous since I haven’t been on a horse in 30 years but the trail guides expertly matched us with horses that seemed to compliment our personalities and went above and beyond to create a truly memorable experience. When my father couldn't make it to the fence to see the horses due to health issues, the trail guide showed so much kindness and brought a horse to him with a bag of carrots, making his day unforgettable . We look forward to our next visit!

Amazing property and trip!

We loved the Lodge at Rivers Bend Ranch! There's nothing like waking up to seeing horses and longhorns graze in the front lawn. The house was comfortable and had the basics. I do think a few more dishes and glasses would be helpful, as there were less than the number of beds. But overall very happy and grateful for an unforgettable, incredible vacation!

It looked like a movie set

Every morning we enjoyed our coffee on the covered porch looking over the surrounding mountain views and talking to the horses/cows. In the evening we used our fire pit to have Smores and Campfire Banana Boats for dessert. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, the property was comfortable for the 7 of us and the location was perfect! You were close enough to enjoy all that the city offers yet felt like you were miles away from civilization on a western movie set when you returned. Could not have been more relaxing, peaceful or enjoyable and we will most definitely return!!

Beautiful cabin stay for family

We stayed at this lovely property with our 2 kids (3 and 2 years old). Everybody had a blast. It's close to Luray and many cute restaurants and to numerous family-friendly hiking trails. The property itself had plenty to keep our kids entertained including a great playground and pigs, goats, and chickens to visit. The cabin itself had unbelievable views and was spacious for our family of 4. We can't wait to visit again!

Cabin getaway

Was a delightful experience Susan was so responsive to any requests. Sadly we had rain all weekend so could no ride or walk the property. But the covered porch was perfect for morning coffee and relaxation on t3be rocking chairs. Views are amazing and loved hearing and seeing the cows and horses

BEAUTIFUL!!

My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate his birthday. The views were amazing everywhere you looked! It was amazing to be so close to all the animals. The property it just awe inspiring. It’s close to the Shenandoah river for a good hike or some kayaking, and near the Luray caverns, which we were able to check out. They even offer trail rides around the property which was a wonderful experience. Everyone was super nice and helpful as well.

Peaceful Getaway

We had a really lovely stay at the Lodge at River's Bend Ranch. The ranch itself is beautiful and we loved watching the horses, cows and deer throughout the day. The house is as pictured and fit our needs for our family of 5 perfectly. I think the only things I would clarify about the house is that it isn't isolated as the picture may make it seem. There is another cabin (or 2 individual cabins sharing 1 building) right next door. This didn't pose a problem, or have any sort of negative effect on our stay, I just wasn't expecting it. Also, to clarify about the grills and the firepit, the description made me think there was a central area for the entire ranch to share these things each night. However, there were 2 grills and multiple firepits (2 solo stoves and 1 traditional firepit) for all 3 cabins on the hill to share. This was a pleasant surprise (just because it made things easier location wise). The Ranch was pretty central to everywhere we wanted to go during our stay. We took several hikes in Shenandoah National Park, kayaked down the Shenandoah River, and took a trail ride with the Ranch one morning. All in all, I would recommend River's Bend Ranch, and the Lodge in particular, to anyone wanting a peaceful visit to the Shenandoah Valley. I could have sat on the porch reading a book, watching the animals, and taking in the scenery for a long time!

Very responsive! Amazing home and views. Will definitely recommend. Sad that it was cold and raining that we couldn’t do the firepit. But plenty of outdoor seating around fireplace. Friendly staff at barn!

Excellent Spring Break Trip

My children abolutely loved walking onto the porch and talking to the cows every morning. It was a great location with easy walking to the river for fishing. It was a great home base for trips to the National Park and Luray Caverns.

Little paradise

Everyone had such a great time. Only wish we had stayed longer! It was the perfect location to disconnect and spend family time. Kids loved feeding the animals and horse back riding. They enjoyed the longhorns and having them outside our cabin. Every morning we woke to our littles gitty with excitement about all the animals they saw. Beds were comfortable too. Would say, if you have 6 its a good spot...8 is stretching it as there isn't enough room in the dining room or living room for that. Will definitely come back. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Short Getaway from DC

The Lodge was a very clean confortable cabin with lovely views of pasture, mountains and longhorns. Caroline and Carrie were very welcoming, helpful and so accommodating. We enjoyed a family horse ride, seeing the animals, and roasting marshmallows at the firepit. We will visit again! Thank you.

Excellent house, farm scenery + hospitality

Great spot and fun to wake up to cows and horses in adjacent pastures. Managers were easy to communicate with us and saved our trip by loaning us a travel crib (we had forgotten ours!).

Perfect weekend getaway

Our family of 4 stayed in the Lodge which was perfect size, everything very clean and comfortable. Stunning sunsets enjoyed from the porch our first night and from around the fire pit our second night. Easy access to some beautiful hiking at Shenandoah NP and Massanutten, and a short but pretty loop right from the ranch down along the Shenandoah River. Would definitely recommend and we plan to revisit when the weather is warmer!

Lovely Ranch Getaway

A classic rural ranch with longhorns, horses and farm animals. Lovely views of mountains and access to the Shenandoah River. We booked a 1 hour horse trail ride which was great. Staff were friendly and responsive.

Wonderful cabin with dreamy landscape

We had such a relaxing and memorable time here! We stayed at the Lodge, which was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The furnishings made the the cabin feel warm and hospitable. We especially loved the view from the porch -- the cows, longhorns, and horses against beautiful green hills were just amazing, especially at sunset. We enjoyed using the fire pit and stargazing at nighttime. The proximity to the horse ranch and river trail were also a big plus! Only constructive feedback is that the picnic table is falling apart and needs to be repaired.

Lovely get-away!

My fiance and I came to Riversbend Ranch with our two friends to get away from the city and enjoy some hiking in Shenandoah National Park. The location was convenient to the park entrance and we were able to hike at Mary's Rock as well as White Oak Canyon and drive along skyline drive. What was even better was still experiencing the amazing views from our front porch after our hike. We brought all of our food with us, and took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed walking to the river on the property and soaking in the peaceful scenery from the front porch. At night, we were able to sit by the campfire and enjoy the view of the stars. It was an amazing place to come and spend some time away from the craziness of 2020 with some great friends. The staff at Riversbend Ranch were friendly, helpful, and truely made our stay enjoyable! Will be back.
