This property was an excellent place to stay. Immaculately clean. Very nicely appointed. Really comfortable. And when I encountered a glitch—of my own making—the hosts were easily reached for help. It was a delightful stay.

We absolutely LOVE Mint Cottage!!! The on-line description of the home is "spot on" and the proximity to the town of Washington, VA was perfect. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and even gave us some inspiration for around our own home :-) It is SO well stocked - very easy to settle in quickly and not worry about something we forgot to bring along. It was the perfect setting for our anniversary getaway, and we can't wait to return again - THANK YOU!!

My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at the Mint Cottage at Little Washington. Our stay exceeded all expectations because of John and Diane’s exceptional attention to detail that included a welcome basket and interesting books about the town. The residence was immaculate and our weekend getaway was made extra special by the hosts’ thoughtfulness.

The kitchen was a delight to work in. I had everything I needed. The owners make you feel warm and welcome. The cottage is exceptionally appointed. Beautiful finishes, and furniture. It truly is a five minute walk to town.

Beautifully furnished and maintained house three blocks (and a small hill) from Inn at Little Washington. Cows and mountains across the street. Awesome.

Outstanding!! The photos (while beautiful) do not do justice to this incredible cottage. Everything was gorgeously curated. Loved every single inch. Even the sofa bed in the living room was incredibly comfortable. Everything had been thought about. Hosts could not have been more accommodating or friendly. Thank you!

Perfect Stay in Little Washington

A perfect stay from start to finish; excellent accommodations and so much thought was put in to the amenities. We appreciated everything from a well stocked kitchen to the make up face cloths. We were in town to celebrate our anniversary, the hosts left us a sweet message along with snacks and waters. One note for future guests: Little Washington isn’t terribly walkable from an infrastructure standpoint— sidewalks are not continuous or always paved. Nothing to do with the stay, just we had never visited before and didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t mind driving the 2 minutes to the center of town, parking is plentiful. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back!!

The Mint Cottage was perfect and exactly what we hoped for! The cottage was super clean, comfortable, and had every possible thing we could’ve needed. The hosts thought of everything!
