Great weekend getaway
Location was amazing! Walking distance to a few bars and restaurants and a short drive into Charleston. Condo had an amazing view of the ocean, a private pier and private access to the beach. The pool looked really nice (we didn't use) but it did have convenient (nice) restrooms you could access w/o having to go all the back to the condo. The Owner/Rental Mgmt Company made a nice welcome bag with some snacks, koozies and (much-needed) Kurig pods lol Such a nice thoughtful surprise to start the weekend off :) The condo itself had some really nice updates but also some areas that needed attention... what you expect for a vacation rental, not super rundown or anything. The kitchen was fully stocked to cook pretty much anything & they had a good amount of beach chairs/body boards, etc. The bed had a super comfy pillow-top & the bunkbeds seemed to have more firm mattress if that's preferred. The hallway light is right outside the main door, which did cast a glow into the hallway/bedroom if you did not close the bedroom door...just an FYI if you're not a closed-door sleeper. Overall we had a fantastic time celebrating my husbands birthday and we would definitely rent this unit again. Thank you!
Clean and functional - great location
Property was clean, functional and well-maintained. It was just as pictured with oceanfront views and easy beach access. Location was perfect! The owner/manager was responsive and available. The bedroom was a tad small and we had our daughter with us in a pack n play - bit of a squeeze but it worked! Having a bathtub was great with a 1-yr-old and surprisingly hard to find.
Loved this place!!!!
This place is amazing!! If I could give it more stars I would. Having stayed at other sea cabins this one far exceeds the others. 315 has the best view and sits closer to the water, you can hear the waves crashing on the beach in every room in the condo. Being on the third floor offers privacy and no one above you making noise. Well soundproofed, i never heard the people on either side of me. Tim is great to work with and keeps the place clean, cozy and fully stocked with everything you could need. The kitchen is fully equipped with high end dishes and even a dishwasher. All the beds are comfortable especially the sleep sofa in the living room. The Isle Of Palms is a beautiful place to visit, it’s clean safe and friendly. Everything you need is walking distance from the condo or all the shopping you need minutes away in Mt.Pleasant or 15 minutes to Charleston. I’m sad to leave and am making plans for my next trip here.
Great Vacation Stay
Lovely unit complete with all the necessities. Very clean and well-kept. Great communication with owner and realty management. This is our third annual visit to IOP and is one of our favorite spots. Great location - walk out to the beach or to well-maintained pool. Will definitely rent this unit again.
Great location; room could use some TLC
This review is a mixed bag.
On the plus side - the location (on the beach, pool, easy parking) is great. Customer service was great - I had to call the owner and property manager a few times, and they were very responsive, even on the weekend. I also liked how they had beach chairs and boogie boards available for us to take to the beach.
On the bad side - My biggest gripe was that the mattress in the main room was just awful - it was cheap, thin, and old. It was so bad that I contemplated sleeping on the floor. I also wish they would pay the extra 50 cents to not have the scratchiest toilet paper and thinnest paper towels available - if I am paying a few hundred a night for a room, can I at least have some Charmin? Also, there was only one remote control, so if we wanted to watch TV in the bedroom, we had to get up and get the remote from the living room. Finally, the room had a really musty/moldy smell, and my allergies were in high gear the whole time.
In the end, I was very happy with the location but the unit itself could use some improvements.
Great location... overpriced for what we found
Great location!!! Easy access to beach, pool, restaurants, and grocery store. Perfect location to be able to run back from beach for a break from the sun, refills on ice, etc... Top floor is great for views, but no elevator access. Upon arrival the main bedroom had sheets and pillowcases with hair on them and appeared dirty. We replaced with extra pillowcases. The tv in main bedroom only gets one station. Therefore, we watched movies at night on iPad we brought. Sofa bed is old and needs updating. We put the extra bunk cushions on the sofa bed for sleeping which helped. Condo is small, but functional if not planning to be there often and only have 1-2 people. Fireworks launched right from pier across the parking lot. Viewing from condo location was perfect.
