This historic, and eclectic little cabin was so much fun. So many interesting little touches. If you love flea markets this place is a thrill! The cabin is filled with nostalgic pieces that certainly have a story. Peter told us a little about the cabin and how it came to him, which just increased our awareness of how special this place is. Peter also had some great suggestions for places to visit and to eat. All the comforts of home are present, with a few modern kitchen items for convenience sake. Don't plan to spend time watching TV however, one channel I think, but it wasn't missed. This was our first visit to the Maine coast, we're Mid-westerners. Lobster boats and lobster pots in the bay; the cabin, which IS right on the rocky shoreline as the pictures indicate. Beautiful Booth Bay, the Botanical gardens, fishing in the surf at Ocean Point, all together a perfect visit.

Fantastic location! We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place to stay with kids. Our twins had so much fun finding crabs and snails and other creatures. The cabin is comfortable and cozy, and also close to so many wonderful attractions. Peter is a wonderful host.

It doesn’t get any better than this! If you’re looking for an authentic Maine cabin, this is it!

This cabin was outstanding. The coastal setting was beautiful and serene, lending itself to many, lazy, mornings and evenings. Our host, Peter, was great, the cabin is only a few minutes away from the town of East Boothbay, stores and dining. We would absolutely stay here again.

Charming and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully decorated. We kept finding little things we hadn't noticed at first glance (the owl up close to the ceiling, the "lobster gaff" in the corner). Thank you so much for letting us stay, we enjoyed every minute of it.

Amazing Cabin on the Cove

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is incredible! There are so many interesting touches - authentic antique pieces, tasteful and fitting decor, comfortable beds with beautiful bedding, nicely done bathroom, and amazing living spaces. It was like living in a perfectly decorated mid-century cabin museum. And it is so quiet on this little end of the cove - only chirping birds to hear. Wonderfully unique place to stay 10 minutes from Boothbay Harbor.

Loved it

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is probably not for everyone as it is truly a cabin, and all that that implies is true - it's not fully modernized and luxurious. But for those who appreciate that old-world charm, this is a lovely, comfortable place, set on a beautiful piece of property, with a kind and attentive owner. It is very clean with charming accents and decor, it has a great fireplace with firewood included for those chilly nights. A kitchen with nice pans and good sharp knives, and an outdoor gas grill is available so you can make your meals there (grocery store is 5 mins away) and you will want to, because you don't want to leave. Watch the herons fishing and the lobster boats lobstering and sailboats sailing from the porch. I didn't want to leave.
