Jeanine Michalski purchased this Cottage in 1999
Why Jeanine Michalski chose Almira
This property has been in my family for generations. My grandparents operated a small resort with efficiency cottages in the 1950's and 1960's. This is the last remaining cottage of their resort.

Peaceful and beautiful
Perfect setting-I loved sitting on the deck with either a cup of coffee or glass of wine either planning my day or reflecting on my day. Kayaked almost every day. Lots of fun outings to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Leland, Northport, Old Mission wineries, bike rides and nice trail in Lake Ann off of Reynolds road.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our cottage and found it peaceful and relaxing. We hope you visit again.

Cute little cottage with everything you need
Loved this litle cottage! :) My hubby was thrilled there was A/C & flat-screen w/cable. I loved the screened in porch and patio and pretty plants by the patio! We all loved the lake! We were greeted with gorgeous fresh-cut flowers in a vase that lasted the entire week! :) Everything was as promised. Kayaks, paddle boat, rowboat... We dont fish; rumor was that fishing was great! Kids swam and loved the swim raft... Very quiet and peaceful here! Great for couples! No real beach though which was fine as we spent a couple days exploring beaches near Sleeping Bear Dunes and Glen Arbor. Close to bike trails and Traverse City which we liked too. Biked a lot. :) Owners were very friendly and open to helping if we needed anything (we didn't)... But they still gave us privacy all week! Loved that towels and linens were included... So nice not to have to cart a suitcase full of bed linens and towels with us! My two teens slept on sleeper bed... Wasn't sure going into it if they'd like that; it worked out fine though and they did great! Liked that all of the windows worked. Although this is a small cottage, it is well-organized and there was a storage place for everything. All dishes were provided & clean and plenty of them for all 4 of us. Security deposit refunded quickly. Beautiful and private, we would return again in a heartbeat!! :)
Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you can stay again.

The owners greeted us as we arrived and showed us around....they were so nice, cottage is cute, comfortable, cozy, screened in porch was so nice, especially the day it rained, we used the paddle boat so relaxing there......and well stocked with paper products and cookware...7 days didn't seem long enough....would stay again. It was GREAT.....also very clean and wood for a campfire....town is walking distance with a little grocery store, bar, restaurant and post office...and wi-fi.....cable tv. what more could you want...and little private beach to walk to on Lake Ann....Owners should be proud to offer this cottage...they did a good job.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at our little cottage. We hope you can come again.

A cozy little cottage
Secluded and quiet. Everything you need for outdoor and (rainy) indoor living. We loved it!
Awesome place! Right on a quiet lake complete with kayaks, row boat & paddle boat.
What a lovely week spent in Lake Ann, Mi! The Lone Pine cottage was perfect for our family. We loved the fact we could walk down the steps and head to the lake! The kids loved to go fishing! The fire pit was convenient and perfect for gathering and making s'mores. The cottage has everything we needed to complete our up north get-away! In town is a brewery, pizza place, coffee shop, store, & more. The owners were very friendly & helpful. Thank you for sharing your cottage!
Clean, pleasant, exactly as described
My husband, Bart and I had a wonderful time while staying at the Lone Pine Cottage in Lake Ann, Michigan August 6 - 13, 2016, and would certainly recommend Lone Pine to friends. We hope to return again next year. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and self sufficient. It is a perfect, central location to stay if one wants to explore the Lelanau and Benzie Counties. We found it to be very private, quiet and peaceful. Finally, it was very easy and pleasant to communicate with Jeannine and her husband and we appreciate all they did for us.
