Beautifully designed, this luxurious south-west view, corner penthouse on the harbour’s edge creates a unique sensory experience for the sophisticated traveler. Interior designed by Interior Designer, Teresa Ryback, who is recognized for creating grand prize lottery dream homes and luxury residential properties. The Pied-à-Terre features two balconies on the main level that open to create a refreshing cross breeze and a private, rooftop deck that can be accessed via an in-suite staircase (luxury yacht-type ladder) or by way of elevator and stairs from the building’s hallway. A verdured, common-area adjoins the Pied-à-Terre’s private roof deck, where a gas barbeque is accessed on a first-come basis.

Perfect for vacation or business travel, this fully furnished, full 1 bedroom/ 1 bath, comfortably appointed penthouse boasts Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, silestone countertops in the (fully equipped) kitchen and bath, stainless steel appliances, high-speed internet connection, 50' flat screen Panasonic TV w/ Optik TV digital programming, washer/ dryer, gas fireplace and secure underground parking, plus more.

This “sweet suite” is conveniently located in the modern and secure, Mermaid Wharf building in Victoria’s “Design District” - a historic part of downtown, just steps away from entertainment, water activities and eclectic shopping. Enjoy the spectacular views of water, sunsets and the rhythm of the downtown lights.

It is truly a jewel in the heart of Victoria.

Steeped in history, rich in culture and blanketed in colour, downtown Victoria is a very pedestrian friendly area; numerous restaurants and entertainment are walking distance from the Mermaid Wharf building. Many forms of off-island transportation are available, if desired. There are seaplane services and Ferry transportation to Vancouver, Seattle, Port Angeles and Bellingham that are easy and convenient. Additionally, there's the Victoria Harbour Heliport offering Helijet service and charters.

We provide a smoke and pet free environment for the comfort of all our guests.

Again, one dedicated secure parking space w/ bicycle storage is provided during your stay at Mermaid Wharf at no additional cost.

Amazing place and location

We loved our stay at the penthouse. Check in was smooth and easy and Teresa was great. The location was in the heart of the city and made everything easy and accessible. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Stay

We loved the condo and its location to everything. A nice break in the city before we headed out on our next adventure. I would highly recommend this property. The roof top patio was a bonus and the view was spectacular.

Victoria vacay

Location is fantastic for walking all around Victoria, and if you need a car to explore further afield, easy parking in the building. Fun to just watch the comings and goings in the harbor!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property, Teresa, our host, was so accessible, responsive!! The location was spot on, so close to everything, the views, incredible, could have spent the whole time on the outside deck overlooking the water! We would highly recommend this property:)

My Penthouse…that’s right-I said PENTHOUSE!

Great views, comfortable and well equipped. Walking distance to downtown, restaurants and the Empress Hotel for afternoon tea. You can’t beat it for value. I won’t stay anywhere else in Victoria!

Location could not be beat. On the gorge waterway across from an active shipyard and with views to yhe inner harbour, the Legislature building to Fishermans Wharf - and even watch the Cruise Ships just beyond. Very walkable area to downtown, Chinatown, the inner Harbour and all the activities and great restaurants.The furnishings, flooring, appliances, etc. are a bit dated and well used - and the LR layout is awkward and smaller than expected with the corner fireplace jutting out from the wall and the stair case to the rooftop patio; the bedroom is also quite small.. but that is somewhat expected with a Pied-A-Terre. The shared rooftop grille was broken down when we arrived and finally replaced about 10 days before we left.Overall, a fun summer in a great city in a great location, and with all the activity along the water - never boring. Would definitely consider staying here again

Beautiful views and comfortable space

Teresa and Tracey made check-in for our stay seamless. The condo was super clean, the kitchen well-equipped, and the view of the bridge, water taxis, and rowing teams made being inside feel like we were outside too! The ease of getting in and out of the building made traveling by foot or by car easy. This location is perfect, a ten minute walk to the tour buses and the parliament buildings, two minutes from Chinatown. If you're traveling to Victoria to relax, this is the place to stay!

Everything was excellent. The site matched or exceeded expectations. Pictures were accurate depiction of the condo. Teresa was a fabulous and helpful host. Our stay was effortless, enjoyable, and relaxing. Sure wish we were able to return for future visits. Great flat with plenty of amenities, great location and killer views

We love Teresa's flat at the Mermaid, could not have asked for something so DELIGHTFUL. The check in was no issues, Kelly was wonderful and walked us thru the flat. The flat has everything we needed, and super close to very nice restaurants and cute little artsy shops. The flat is as described but better, the views are a killer, with the beautiful bridge and all the boats going by, and sunsets a must. Thank you Teresa for letting us and sharing with your flat. We had a great time!

Gem in The City - No Car Needed!

What a beautiful little place to settle in and enjoy the view & all the life of Victoria: the Harbor, sailing vessels, water taxis, seaplanes, sea otters & multitudes of visitors to the waterfront restaurants below. So many excellent restaurants & shops well within walking distance. Or take a water taxi just outside the condo building to multiple locations around the Harbor. Teresa was the consummate host & made sure we had all that we needed. This was a 10 for us.

Great Condo...Great Time!!

We stayed Pied-A-Terre the 3rd week in August for a few days!! It was a wonderful place...beautiful views, great hospitality!! I had my 77 year old mother, so it was a little hard for her to walk to town, even though it's not all that far, it was an easy walk for my girlfriend and myself. But, just a few steps from the entrance to our building was the ferry taxi..they come like every 15 minutes and will take you all around the harbor..I am very picky about my accommodations due to the fact if you get in a bad or inconvenient place,it can ruin your trip..not the case here!! Loved it and would most definitely stay there again!!

Perfect Location and Harbor Views

This is a great property in a centralized location that provides amazing views and upscale comforts. Parking is provided in a secured garage with remote control access. We were able to easily walk in downtown with major attractions just minutes away. The penthouse itself was quiet and comfortable. Coffee machine options were very welcome along with the well stocked basic supplies in the kitchen. The private roof top patio was spacious although we didn't use it much due to it being colder. The staircase leading to the roof hatch was precarious but there is an elevator. Bed was very comfortable as was the modern furniture. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely apartment apart from the building noise.

The apartment is beautiful and in a great spot for exploring Victoria, Teresa has thought of everything you could need for your stay. Unfortunately the building was being renovated and we could not use the balcony or roof terrace which was very disappointing for us. If the timing had been different then we would have given 5 stars but because of this we have taken a star off overall. There is a lot of building work going on roundabout so if you don’t like noise then this is not for you, as we were out most of the day it was only first thing in the morning that it bothered us. Teresa is a great host and wants all her guests to have a great time while staying at her apartment so I would recommend her place for a stay in Victoria.

Less than expected !!

We have stayed at many VRBO properties throughout the World. I am 52 years old and in great health. This one very deceiving. The apartment is very small . The Bath is not en-suite and frankly would have been happier at a hotel. We never met Teresa and was told by the attendant that everything was "in the book". We found a lady at a near by shop to be the most help. The "Pied-'A-Terre is across for a working shipyard and adjacent to Johnson Bridge, which makes the niose level a 9. The noise is 24/7 !!!! Not recommended for 4 people at all. The stairway is like climbling a ladder and is very dangerous !!The Apartment photographs well , but that's about it.

Postponed Adventure Finally Accomplished!

We originally booked this property in 2020 and had to Covid postpone 2 times. The owner very graciously accommodated our changed dates. The Suite was everything we hoped for and more. You cannot beat the location and the view, both evenings and during the day. We easily walked all the important sites and then enjoyed our sunsets on the rooftop for a de-briefing of the day’s events and planning the next day. Everything we needed AND wanted was provided in the Suite. We are looking forward to our return.

Wonderful location, condo and host!

This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the action. It’s a comfortable and very clean condo with stellar views of the harbor and blue bridge. It was so easy to walk to wonderful restaurants, venues and sites. Check in and out was easy and our host was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
