There was a lot to like about this rental. The owner was super responsive both before and assuring our stay. When we arrived and realized that we didn’t have a tea kettle, he arranged to have the onsite property manager being one by. The location was perfect. Just two minutes from the private beach, we could hear the waves off in the distance at night. We could walk to the Ebbtide for take out ( super nice folks and good food). The biking from there was flat and you could go to other beaches or just ride along the ocean. The beach, even with social distancing, was never overcrowded. Other things we really liked was the quiet of the village. Although you are quite close to the other cottages, it’s sort of nice and every one respects the no outdoor radio rule. The outdoor shower area is brand new, with a small back deck. The front deck, also which seems new, is like having an additionaL room. We hired many of the other cottages did not have this. The kitchen was well appointed, including a muffin pan, which was much appreciated. The big downside was that the bathroom has mold, on the lineoleum, on the curtains and on the shower curtain. Unfortunately one of us has a mold allergy so we ended up using the outdoor shower a lot. (The water pressure and heat are excellent, btw). The other issue for us was that it really is not central air. I had asked about this and was told it did. It does have one of those ductless units in the living room, which can cool down the cotttage if you leave all the doors open and run fans to circulate the cool air (there are plenty to newish fans). But for us, again because of the mold allergy, having very good AC in each room is important. Renovate the bathroom, or at least change the shower curtain and this is 5 star place for sure.
