GULF HOUSE is a low density,6 floor complex with 36 units in the building. The rental price for our three bedroom 4th floor condo is comparable or lower than what many charge for a two bedroom unit. If you don't need the extra beds, I'll bet you can use the extra room for all your 'stuff'. This unit also has a full size washer and dryer. There are beautiful unobstructed views of the beach and ocean from every window and the gulf facing deck. This is the place to kick back on the deck in one of the four big rocking chairs and relax without the noisy mobs that come with the larger buildings.
When my wife and I purchased this condo, the two things that captured us immediately were the great views everywhere and the convenient location. Your can simply park your car and take a short beach walk to the brand new State Fishing Pier to the east or stroll to the west and you will find the famous Sea & Suds beach restaurant, the pink pony pub and the new 'Hang Out' beach restaurant with great food and live entertainment. Of course, you can just take a few steps off the pool deck and enjoy the natural beauty of the soft white beach and inviting gulf waves.. Can you tell we love it? Absolutely!! We think you will too. This is our second year staying in this unit. We have had zero stress issues from renting to staying. The unit is clean and nice. It is right on the water and an easy walk out to the beach.
We've stayed at this unit numerous times and it's always a very enjoyable time for our family. Very spacious, beautiful view, clean, and extremely relaxing.
Location is excellent, beautiful view of gulf, close to State Park fishing pier, and lots of restaurants. The unit was very clean when we arrived. This is certainly an older unit and hasn't had much upgrading in some years. Needs new furnishings. Felt like I was back in the 90's. We had 6 people in this unit and had plenty of room. The railing on the balcony is loose and needs to be fixed. We were constantly telling someone not to lean on it. Coffee pot is a fire hazard and needs a new one with automatic shutoff. Toilet in hall leaked water constantly and needs to be fixed. We had noisy neighbors in the condo building next door and they talked on their balcony until 2 and 3 a.m. every night so made it difficult to sleep. There was plenty of hot water and lots of it so that was helpful. No one had to experience a cold shower. There were not enough towels in unit, we were constantly using the washer and dryer. If you love to fish, the pier was excellent. My son in law carried home a large catch. Overall, our stay was good, but just needs a little help. Sugar Sands is ok, but probably not the best management company, not very professional, was already closed when we arrived on a weekend night at 5:30, overcharged for extra parking pass and I had to get that credited to my account, tried to charge me handling charge when I went to pay my rental using credit card because they didn't think it was VRBO property. They did answer their phone when I called after hours. If you come to this unit, bring plenty of toilet tissue, paper towels, and garbage bags. For what we paid for this unit, we were surprised when we had to furnish lots of basic needs.
TAKE A RIGHT OUT OF OUR PARKING LOT AND HEAD WEST FOR 2.6 MILES THEN YOUR COMPLEX WILL BE ON YOUR LEFT.
