We love sitting on the deck reading a good book or having our meals with our family and friends, watching all the activities on the lake and the park. We love relaxing and saying good bye to another wonderful day watching the FABULOUS SUNSETS. We never run out of things to do in Big Bear. We have had several family reunions, weddings and receptions, girls weekends and guys games weekends in our home. The bedrooms are nice size. The one guest room and the master bedroom have balconies. You can sit and enjoy a drink or read a good book while nestled in the pines. One guest room has upholstered walls and room for five or more little ones to sleep. A TV with game outputs, VCR player and a great vintage video tape library. The yard is fenced with a play area and is very pet friendly. We have seen beautiful wild silver foxes, red tailed hawks and lots of bald eagles from our deck.

My husband and I are both Interior designers. We have enjoyed creating a cozy comfortable home in the best location in Big Bear. We love outdoor sports. We have a Pomeranian, (and know how important it is to be able to bring your pets with you) a large family and lots of friends. We love to travel. Most of all we love spending time with our family and friends playing card games and pool, cooking and just relaxing telling fun stories of the great times we have had in BEAUTIFUL BIG BEAR.
Diane purchased this Cottage in 1986
Why Diane chose Big Bear Lake
I started going to Big Bear when I was a little girl with my parents. My husband and I love going to our home in Big Bear. We have had many fun parties there with our FAMILY AND FRIENDS. We are happy to be able to share our home.
What makes this Cottage unique
The sunsets are absolutely beautiful from the deck. We love to travel and we have not seen a better sunset from any of the many places we have gone. The FORTH OF JULY fireworks are on the lake right in front of the deck. It's the best seat in the house. There is plenty of space for playing card games with family and friends or playing a game of pool. Our family is musical so we really enjoy signing and playing the piano. The home is close to so many restaurants, theaters and shopping it makes it hard to choose where to go next. The home is also close to the marina, launch ramp and rental docks. Also only 3 minutes from Snow Summit. It is great to just sit relaxing in the pines and looking at the lake or sitting by the fire reading a good book. The skiing at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain is great for all levels. There is a lot of off the street parking, room for your boat and car. Snow removal is available in the winter. Because the property is fairly flat it makes it easy to get in and out in the winter. A covered walkway goes to the entry doors with only a couple of steps which makes it handicapped accessible. The floor plan is great and makes for good cozy family fun. Eagle Point is terrific for walking and bike riding. At any given time you can see some breed of dog walking with its master. You will enjoy the beautiful homes on the point on your walk. We hope you will love our home as much as we do and want to come back often.

Beautiful sunsets! Stars in the Spa!
I am so glad that we chose this place to stay. It had lot of room for our big group. The deck was beyond stunning. We would sit out there during the evenings and watch the beautiful sunsets. The deck is big, so it was easy for our large party to bar-b-q and eat outside. Oh...and sitting in the spa at night....there are soooo many stars! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a beautiful place to stay in Big Bear. We also enjoyed going to the quaint Big Bear Village. There are tennis courts and a really nice park that we would walk to if the kids got bored. The home had a lot of room for us all to enjoy eating, games, quiet time and cooking together in the kitchen that comes with everything to cook meals.
Can't wait to go back.
p.s. The pictures on the website don't do it justice.
Thank you so much for the great review. So glad you all had a good time.
This was our second year in a row that we gathered together as a family at this home. Obviously the place is a winner in our book. Great location and the place offers all the amenities that we enjoy. We would definitely consider coming back in the future. Stan and Cheryl P.S. We enjoyed meeting Diane, the owner
Great house for a large group
The house was very comfortable for our group of 11 from ages 18mos. to 61. It was clean and nicely decorated. The owner had highchairs and booster seats that we could use for the little ones, the flat screen tvs all worked well, 3 fireplaces, there was a pool table and jacuzzi for the adults, swingset/slide on the side yard, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes & cooking utensils, a view of the lake from the back deck and bedrooms upstairs. We were hoping for snow but even without the snow there was plenty to do that was close by. We had to wait over an hour to check in since the cleaning crew was delayed but the owner said that we could stay as late as we wanted on the day we checked out which was nice. I would definitely rent this house again.
Beautiful Family Home
Our family had a lovely time at this place. It was very clean and Diane was a great hostess. She responded quickly (even on a holiday) and made sure we had everything we needed. The home was perfect for my grown children and their families. The view was stunning. It would have been nice to have towels for the hot tub. We all enjoyed the deck and pool table. We would stay there again when visiting Big Bear.
I have the best guests.
I do tell them to bring their favorite pillow if they have one and beach towels for the spa in the welcome letter. We supply fluffy big bath towels but not big beach towels for the spa.
We enjoyed our 4 day stay. Beautiful setting, great deck and hot tub. House needs some updates especially in plumbing and dish washer. The owner, Diane, is very nice.
Wonderful location with the view on the lake
The location is beautiful. We enjoyed the lake view a lot, including sunsets. Park nearby with public tennis courts, basketball hoops, etc. The house has everything you would need including pool table. However, the house looks and feels very aged.
Beautiful views from almost every room. Walk to the park and tennis courts.
