About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 11-13)

We love sitting on the deck reading a good book or having our meals with our family and friends, watching all the activities on the lake and the park. We love relaxing and saying good bye to another wonderful day watching the FABULOUS SUNSETS and the waterfowl in the meadow. We never run out of things to do in Big Bear. We have had several family reunions, weddings and receptions, girls weekends and guys games weekends in our home. The bedrooms are nice size. The one guest room and the master bedroom have balconies. You can sit and enjoy a drink or read a good book while nestled in the pines. One guest room has upholstered walls and room for five or more little ones to sleep. About Diane

My husband and I are both Interior designers. We have enjoyed creating a cozy comfortable home in the best location in Big Bear. We love outdoor sports. We have a Pomeranian, (and know how important it is to be able to bring your pets with you) a large family and lots of friends. We love to travel. Most of all we love spending time with our family and friends playing card games and pool, cooking and just relaxing telling fun stories of the great times we have had in BEAUTIFUL BIG BEAR.

Diane purchased this house in 1986

Why Diane chose Big Bear

I started going to Big Bear when I was a little girl with my parents. My husband and I love going to our home in Big Bear. We have had many fun parties there with our FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

What makes this house unique

The sunsets are absolutely beautiful from the deck. We love to travel and we have not seen a better sunset from any of the many places we have gone. The FORTH OF JULY fireworks are on the lake right in front of the deck. It's the best seat in the house. There is plenty of space for playing card games with family and friends or playing a game of pool. Our family is musical so we really enjoy signing and playing the piano. The home is close to so many restaurants, theaters and shopping it makes it hard to choose where to go next. The home is also close to the marina, launch ramp and rental docks. Also only 3 minutes from Snow Summit. It is great to just sit relaxing in the pines and looking at the lake or sitting by the fire reading a good book. The skiing at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain is great for all levels. There is a lot of off the street parking, room for your boat and car. Snow removal is available in the winter. Because the property is fairly flat it makes it easy to get in and out in the winter. A covered walkway goes to the entry doors with only a couple of steps which makes it handicapped accessible. The floor plan is great and makes for good cozy family fun. Eagle Point is terrific for walking and bike riding. At any given time you can see some breed of dog walking with its master. You will enjoy the beautiful homes on the point on your walk. We hope you will love our home as much as we do and want to come back often.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We felt at home the minute we walked in the front door. The owners were great to work with. We loved the piano, the pool table and the veiw is fabulous. All the bedrooms are spacious and the beds are confortable. The home was neat and clean with everything we needed. Our family can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful View and deck

  • 5 of 5

We visited this property over Memorial Weekend. It was very clean and nicer than what we saw in the pictures. Beds were comfortable and the property owners were great. We even received a welcome basket with fun treats to enjoy for our stay. You can tell this is a home that is loved. It has everything you could want in the kitchen, on the deck (lots of seating everywhere), games, umbrella, etc. It could handle a large family (there were only four of us with our pets) easily. As with most properties in the mountains, the windows and outdoor cushions could use a good cleaning, but I imagine most properties that are not lived in full time would need the same. The hot tub was clean and newer and easy to work. It's in a quiet residential area and does have a small fenced yard with an older rickety play structure. I would not say it is within walking distance to the village although we did it once (took about 20-30 min. each way). Due to the low lake level the swim beach is closed and the house is not right on the water although you could take a short walk to a dock that was open and to the right of the house. No real grassy areas to play on unless you walked to the park. We loved the pool table that opens to the deck and played often. The deck is the biggest selling point to the property. Overall a fun stay and yes, beautiful sunsets!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much. Yes this home is loved. New cushions are on the way and I'll remind the girls about the windows. ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We had a fantastic time!!

  • 5 of 5

The size and location was just perfect for us and our 3 children and their families. Our 3 year old grandson got to play in the snow for the first time. He loved it! The adults enjoyed both the pool table and the hot tub. We all have wonderful memories of the time we spent there. I have already recommended your home to several people.

My only suggestion is that a new pancake griddle be obtained. We did not have much success with the old one. Also, it would be helpful to have 1 empty cupboard available to put our various food items that we brought . Thanks again for sharing!!!

Feels like home!

  • 5 of 5

The house is so comfortable and there is plenty of room for our family to gather together when we want, but with quiet spaces to relax when we don't. We absolutely love this place and we plan to keep coming back year after year.

This Is The Place

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay at this cabin and it is the only place we will stay in Big Bear. Large rooms, right on the lake, close to everything especially the park (we have kids), and an all around great value. Whenever I hear someone is going to Big Bear I recommend this cabin. You can't ask for a better host than Diane.
