I would not recommend hosting this guest. Communication was difficult, and she was disrespectful despite my prompt efforts to address her concerns. She reported a plumbing issue, and I immediately contacted a plumber and personally went to the property. The toilet was flushing normally when I arrived. When the issue was reported again the following day, I contacted the plumber again, and he spoke directly with the guest and arranged to remain on call if needed. We heard nothing further from the guest before checkout. After checkout, I had the plumber return to verify that the line was completely clear. There were also serious house-rule concerns. The guest checked in before the designated check-in time without permission and accessed a locked owner's storage area by picking the lock, despite clear signage stating that the area was not accessible to guests and the same information being provided in the welcome letter. The guest also referenced a plumbing concern from a previous review, although that issue was never reported to me during that guest's stay, and the previous guest gave the property five stars. Several guests stayed afterward without reporting any plumbing problems. I made every reasonable effort to address this guest's concerns and ensure the property was safe and functioning properly. Unfortunately, the guest's communication, conduct, and disregard for house rules were concerning. I would not host this guest again.
