I am the wife of a retired Air Force serviceman, former teacher and current stained glass artisan. Stained glass is my love and I have many of my works displayed around the United States in homes, businesses and churches, including the Methodist church here on the island. I am an 88 year old mother of three, grandmother of six and about to be a great grandmother! I am so excited! As much as I can, I am actively involved in their activities and future. My husband and I were married 60 years before he passed away in 2010. During our time together we always loved being at St George Island and creating memories. Now I want to share my house with those that want to share the same experience and make memories of their own!
Owner purchased this House in 1993
Why Owner chose Gulf Beaches
My family has been coming to St George Island for the last 40 years. We choose this location for family gatherings to reunite and relax while enjoying natures many gifts from breath taking sunsets, abundant fishing, and the dolphins playing in the beautiful Apalichicola Bay. Our gatherings get larger every year and we create memories that will last a life time. My hope is that you will find this house as family friendly that I have and that you create many memories yourself!

Perfect week of relaxation
We had a great week for our family of 3. The house was clean and well equipped. There was a lot of room and it was very spacious and the view outside is amazing. Behind the house, there's a small private pier with a convenient fish cleaning station. The beach is right across the street and fishing was great. It is a great place to relax and there is an abundance of seafood shops nearby. The owner's agent Ken was very helpful as well. The best part of the trip was visiting St. George Island State Park. It was very quiet and there was a variety of marine life there. It is a great place to explore and take pictures not to mention go fishing and boating. This is truly fisherman's paradise.
Great House - Perfect Fishing Spot
This house exceeded our expectations. Big kitchen and huge living area. Everyone was so comfortable and loved the open floor plan. We used the boat ramp and newly built dock everyday! It's the perfect spot if you love to fish! The listing description is very accurate and the property is clean and very well-maintained. I will definitely come back to stay again and highly recommend this house!
I am so glad that you had a great time! This house is definately perfect for families and those that love to fish!! I look forward to having you return!!
Bay Secrets was wonderful. The house was clean and well maintained. The listing description was accurate regarding the location. The photos were accurate in reflecting the houses's appearance and amenities. We were able to catch flounder and croaker off the dock. We had a great family vacation and would stay in this rental again.
Great week for our family of 6 (grandparents, parents and kids 9 and 16). The house was clean and well equipped, very spacious. The two living rooms were especially good. The owners rep was very helpful. The location is good. Journey rentals were fantastic. They delivered kayaks to the house and their "fun" guided fishing trip was great for kids thanks to Captain Justin. The Gulf side beaches are beautiful - especially in the park at the east end of the island. The bay side in the park is very interesting at low tide. The Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve is worth the trip across the bridge. Favorite dinner was at the Owl Cafe in Apalachicola.
