Location, Location, Location! This lovely condo offers ocean, park and mountain view, the rustle of palm trees, the beach 150 feet away and the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep in a wonderful environment. A medical issue has created a vacancy for the month of March in unit #115. Prince Kuhio #111, a one bedroom unit, is very well maintained and was totally remodeled in March of 2016. We have painted, replaced the living room and bedroom furniture, put in a new king size bed, and new art work. It has a new glass top stove, lovely granite kitchen counters and tropical cabinets – they are beautiful. We completely painted, renewed the tile floors, put in new screens, new window coverings and new art which includes a beautiful panoramic picture of the Kalalau Valley in the living room. We have owned at the PK since 2001 and spend our winters in Kauai taking great pride in providing a most up to date unit with lots of extras to help make your holiday a wonderful one. Our unit is in a great location, beautifully decorated, quality, and a great value. PK #111 is in a wonderful setting with beautiful surroundings.
Wake up in the morning in a new large king size bedroom to an island sunrise. Have your coffee on the lani while enjoying amazing mountain views, the ocean, and an occasional beautiful rainbow with a 180 degree view. I apologize that the pictures do not show all of the remodeling we just finished. The pictures were taken with my iphone as we ran out of time to have professional pictures taken.
We are just steps away from the best snorkel beach on Kauai and ideally located to enjoy all the beautiful sights of the island. World-class golf is minutes away and the island’s best five star restaurant is just out our front door. The unit comes fully furnished and has all your beach needs, i.e. beach towels and chairs, beach coolers, and needed cooking spices to help keep your grocery costs down. There is free wireless Internet access, free cable, free local and long distance calls to US and Canada, and free covered parking. The Prince Kuhio is a non smoking facility but there is a smoking area out by the parking lot.
This small complex has a beautiful new tiled pool, new deck and lovely water feature placed in our unique garden. There is sun and shade at the non smoking pool to meet your needs.
The week of March 16 to the 23rd is available in the lawai Beach Resort and is available for the entire week only. Due to a family death it is now available. Please contact me for details. This resort is next door to the Prince Kuhio and is a beautiful resort with 3 pools, and views from every unit. It will be $1500 for the week all fees included.
Like to walk, head up Lawai Road, past beautiful homes, past an elite golf course, a small boat harbour and onto Spouting Horn. Stop along the way to walk through the entrance to the fabulous Botanical Gardens. Head the other direction along the coast to view the Giant Green turtles and whales during migration season. You will probably see an endangered Monk Seal resting on a beach. Take a short 15 minute walk to the Kukui'ula Shopping Center with it's upscale shops, art galleries, delightful island restaurants, organic grocery store/deli, and Wednesday’s Farmer’s Market featuring local produce, baked goods, flowers, and many Hawaii made products while musicians play Hawaiian music and sellers hand out samples.
As your day winds down, walk across the street with your favorite beverage and camera to enjoy a sunset view you won't forget and have dinner at the 5 star Beach House Restaurant. Or stop by one of the local island markets and prepare your meals in our well equipped kitchen or use the outdoor gas grills and picnic area that are available for your use. Then relax in our lovely condo.
We have enjoyed owning a condo on the 3rd floor in the Prince Kuhio since 2001 so much that we have just purchased this unit on the 1st floor. No stairs to climb, large, easy access and beautiful.

About Florence Bergum, Owner
My husband and live on the Hood Canal outside of Poulsbo, WA. We enjoy gardening, boating, hiking, and golf. In the summer we love eating out of our garden and harvesting, clams, oysters and the best Dungeness Crab ever eaten. We have been spending our winters in Kauai since we retired in 2001. We purchased our first Prince Kuhio unit #303 then. We have enjoyed it so much we have just pruchased this unit on the ground floor. While on Kauai we enjoy golf, Bocci with friends, and volunteering once a week at the Allerton/McBride Botanical Gardens and Habitat for Humanity. The island is a very special place for us and this is our way of giving a little back for the pleasure it gives us.

What makes this Condo unique
This property is in a perfect location to enjoy the sights of Kauai. We are close to golf, snorkeling, beautiful beaches and garden walks. It is in a private location with a 180 degree view overlooking Prince Kuho Park, the mountins and the ocean. The unit goes from the park side to the pool side and provides a perfect setting for the trade winds to create a wonderful breeze throughout the unit. The lanai is a perfect place to have a sunrise breakfast, read a book, watch the ocean or just take a nap in the aftenoon shade.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in PK111. Very comfortable bed, nice layout of kitchen and living room, Fantastic location near the beach. We had friends staying next door at Lawai Beach condos - a two minute walk for visits. The condo is situated to allow very nice breezes through out.

Second stay as great as the first
My husband and I just got back from our second stay in PK111. The building and condo are still lovely and meticulously maintained. The condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay which includes a heavenly king sized bed, well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and even snorkel gear. There is no A/C but just like last year the breezes kept the condo cool. We love the location of PK111 because it is close to great food, shopping and beaches. This rental will not disappoint and we are looking foward to returning next year!
Beautiful Kauai by Prince Kuhio surf spot
Enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Nice breeze into the front bedroom at night. Never needed air conditioning. Love the walkable access to the surf and to baby beach. The pool was clean and so warm, we lounged for hours in the water. Condo with well equipped kitchen. Appreciated things left behind like the olive oil and spices. The barbecues were clean and ready to use. Umbrella, chairs, nice quality beach towels. Only thing missing was snorkel gear. Ground floor perfect for my children. Good view from the bedroom. Experience was everything we could have asked for. Thank you. We hope to return soon.
very well equipped unit in a very well maintained small condo complex
My wife and I just spent four nights at Price Kuhio unit #111 and have nothing but the very best to say about it. It is a very spacious one bedroom unit running from one side of the building to the other, thus providing phenomenal cross-ventilation. On the entry side it fronts on the extremely nice tropical gardens/BBQ/pool area in the center of the condo complex and the other side fronts on Prince Kuhio Park itself, this providing plenty of open space and a reasonable view of the ocean, despite being across the street. Unit 111 itself had just undergone a complete 'face lift' and it was wonderfully fresh and inviting--new furnishings, paint, appliances, lovely art work, flat panel TV's and on and on. The unit is also extremely well-equipped with high quality kitchen utensils, for example, rather than the cheap mis-matched items that one usually encounters in rental units. It felt very much 'at home', equipped like one might equip one's own home. There are also beach chairs and beach towels. There is an excellent snorkeling beach just across the street with a good deal of live, multi-colored coral and abundant colorful reef fish. And, when the salt water loses its appeal, the pool complex at the Prince Kuhio Condos is hard to beat--a beautiful dark blue tile makes it particularly inviting and it is nice and comfortable--cool enough to be refreshing but warm enough to be be inviting! And, it is set amidst of a spectacular tropical palm garden with beautiful tall palms and lovely multi-colored flowering plants at ground level. And, the garden is maintained daily so there are never dead leaves or downed palm fronds. Be aware also that there are two very large 'turbo gas grills' and outdoor tables for those who want to BBQ and eat out in the garden area. The condo complex is also distinctive for it's laid back style. There is no official check-in/check-out. Rather, the owners will send you the combination to the lock box from which you extract the key and you check yourself in by simply arriving. Ditto when you exit. All that is asked of you is that you sign in your car's make, model and license plate and place a small card on your dash board so they can control against non-residents using the available parking---which is plenty abundant between the lot our front and the adjacent, but well-hidden, parking structure.
All-in-all, this unit in this condo complex gets my top score!!
Great location, beautifully re-done condo
This condo was a great location for our Kauai vacation. My husband and I spent 10 days and we could have easily moved in for good! The garden area is meticulously maintained and pretty as a picture with a beautiful pool that has plenty of patio furniture. It is clear that the onsite manager keeps the place in tip-top shape. (A small edge piece of pool tile broke off and two days later the tile had already been replaced!) The condo itself was super clean, comfortable and lovely. The layout allowed the trade winds to flow through and kept us cool in the evenings. The kitchen was well stocked and we never had a hitch with the wifi or tv. The bedroom boasts a giant patio door out to a lanai that overlooks the adjacent park with views of the ocean and was perfect for morning coffee or an evening beer. The unit was well equipped for beach trips too: chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, towels etc. The owners were very easy to communicate with and had great advice for activities and restaurants. We highly recommend this condo for an active couple and hope to return soon!
This is a beautiful little condo complex across the road from the beach with good snorkeling. The condo itself is private, quiet with views of Prince Kuhio Park and the ocean on the lanai. It is beautifully furnished, with nice art has a very serene ambiance. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and the entire complex including the barbecue and pools are well maintained. It's within easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants, sunset views, and the botanical gardens.
The unit also overlooks historic Prince Kuhio Park with the ocean beyond and is a 1 minute walk to popular Lawai Beach and the Beach House Restaurant, and just a 5 minute walk to the beautiful new Kukui'ula Shopping Center, for shopping, gourmet farmers market and fabulous dining. The surf and palm trees will lull you to sleep. We are just steps away from the best snorkel beach on Kauai and ideally located to enjoy all the beautiful sights of the island. World-class golf is minutes away and the island’s best five star restaurant is just out our front door.

Cancellations: Cancellations and reservation changes must be received in writing: thirty days (30) before arrival Sixty days (60) for Christmas/New Year (12/15-1/05, 2016). Cancellations made more than 30 days or 60 days for Christmas before arrival date, are subject to a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations that are made within 30 days or 60 days for Christmas of arrival date forfeit the full advance payment, unless the unit can be rebooked. There will be no refund for early departure unless the unit can be rebooked. You may choose to purchase travel insurance. There is a required additional cleaning fee for stays of 21 days or longer
