Absolutely perfect location to spend my 30th birthday with my family and close friends.

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival the house was very clean and we immediately felt at home. The views are gorgeous at any time of day and there is plenty of space to accodate all guests (including dogs!) if the weather takes a stormy turn. Within walking distance of McKerricher State Park and immediately across the bike path from a gorgeous beach. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook two full meals for 12 and sleeping arrangements worked out well. The back deck, hot tub, outside fire pit, beach and the way the interior of the house is broken up allowed us to never feel like we were crowding each other. Love The Beacon and would recommend using Leslie at Robison Properties to help plan your stay.

Amazing location! Spacious but outdated house!

  • 4 of 5

This was a fantastic house for our family getaway. The location is amazing. Eating meals in the sunroom and on the deck with the ocean rolling up never gets old. While the furnishings were outdated, everything was clean and well stocked. Wishlist for this property would be extra towels and a gas grill instead of charcoal. Overall, very happy with this rental. Didn't want to leave!

Lovely home, perfect setting.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our weekend by the Pacific just north of Fort Bragg in the lovely Beacon Guest House. The house is nicely maintained, all the basics are provided, and the setting is spectacular. We watched whales spouting off shore every day, and the lovely beach is only a few steps away over the top of the sand dunes. Great weekend!

Yearly family trip

  • 5 of 5

Just perfect!!!

We had 9 family members and there was plenty of room.

Access to the beach was great, all could come and go as they wanted.

We had a 4 year old and a 2 year. The back deck was great with the latch gate.( they did have finger prints on the windows and mirrors, I looked for something to clean them with but could not find anything).

We will return.... :)

Nice Retreat, great location with great amenities

  • 4 of 5

We spent 3 days at this guest house, and we loved the house, the location, and all the amenities at this place. The beach is just a few hundred yards away, and has a nice trail along the coast. Downtown is only 2 miles away. The house was loaded with all the things we needed for our stay, and the view from the upper floor was mind-blowing. The management staff was very friendly in accommodating us and we loved the stay.

What can be improved: The house is old, and the furnitures and others need a makeover. The house has a old closed wooden home smell, but one will get used to it within a few hours. The Indoor spa is a good idea, but the bedroom is always humid and has chlorine smell making it difficult to sleep in. An exhaust fan (powerful one) would really help get the hot air and the smell out, when the spa is in use. Will also keep the moisture out as a result.

Overall, loved it and good.
