Perfect for us!

Everything about this property was perfect for us! The house is beautiful, clean and well-appointed without being busy. It is located in the best part of Berkeley -- you can walk to everything from a peaceful neighborhood with friendly and helpful neighbors. The owner and property manager were also very helpful and responsive. We didn't want to leave!

Initial problems quickly resolved by owner

This is a very comfortable, well-equipped rental in a nice, very quiet neighborhood, easily accessible to shopping, restaurants, etc. When we arrived, the rental had not been cleaned and there were a number of things (shower, oven, dishwasher, toilet) that were not functioning. Apparently, there had been a miscommunication with property management. The owners worked diligently to fix everything; however, we were inconvenienced during our stay. We anticipate that future renters will not encounter the issues with which we were faced.

We are Berkeley locals who enjoy renting to visiting scholars, folks who are in the middle of relocating, and grandparents who want to be close when new additions to the family arrive! There is so much about Berkeley that is exciting and fun.

Why they chose this property

Westbrae is close to so many great areas of Berkeley - The Marina with wide open spaces, Solano Ave with great shops and restaurants, Westbrae with its own beer garden and plant nursery. Whole Foods and Walgreens are just a few blocks away. There is a lot to walk or bike to near the house, great parks for kids and the bus stop for the direct bus line to SF is around the corner.

What makes this property unique

We lovingly remodeled the house years ago and have been keeping it in top shape - lots of craftsman wood details throughout the house. It has a charming feel to it, comfortable, with great appliances and attentions to detail. Due to the mature Oak and Japanese Maple, it feels like being nestled in a woodland, though you're steps away from many shops and restaurants.
