This charming three bedroom, two bathroom custom-built timber frame home sits on an acre and is just ten miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. With three bedrooms and a full size sofa sleeper, it will comfortably sleep 7 people. The kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances including a microwave. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience and the home is equipped with WIFI internet service and cable television. The back deck offers a peaceful scene into the woods, with a grill ready for you to BBQ. The master suite is located up it's own set of stairs and includes a queen size bed, hand-tiled bathroom, cable television, a private upper level deck, and plenty of room to relax and unwind. The second and third bedrooms are located at the top of an open-air handmade wooden spiral staircase with full and twin beds respectively, built right into the walls. Additionally, there is a soothing meditation loft beneath the skylights which can be reached from the top of a built in ladder off the second floor. There is a television and DVD player in the living area along with a woodstove, perfect for curling up on those chilly Montana nights. The home has a private eight-person hot tub and a fire pit with a fully stocked supply of wood and is situated just a block off the middle fork of the Flathead River. The home is only 14 miles from Glacier International Airport in Kalispell. With easy access to Highway 2, this one-of-a-kind timber frame home is perfect for a summer vacation to Glacier National Park or Whitefish Mountain Resort, and is close to many other attractions around the Flathead Valley of Montana.

Cozy Retreat

Fantastic property. We stayed here to ski at Big Mountain and it was the perfect place. Easy access to the ski hill and the national park. Hot tub was great to come back to after a days skiing and the log fire kept us warm in the cold evenings. Thanks to Holly who was so easy to contact and deal with and all property instructions were easy to understand.

We loved this house! The roof did have a leak and the owner was quick to get someone out to fix it. Would definitely stay here again

Owner's Response: There was more than two feet of snow on the roof, due to a recent blizzard. Ice had formed at the roof edge due to warming temperatures and water was being pulled in under the roofing. This has never happened before, and we shoveled the roof off immediately. It has not leaked since.

Homey, cozy, and enjoyable!

Our stay in this cozy Hungry Horse cabin was quite pleasant! Holly made the reservation process very easy and was helpful all through out our stay in answering questions and giving pointers (e.g how to start a fire in the wood stove with out smoking the place out:) ) We immediately felt at ease when we stepped into this very clean well kept woodsy abode. All the basic essentials are provided and having a garage to park our car in and a hot tub to relax in were much loved bonuses!!!! We would defiantly recommend this delightful home and hope many others are able to enjoy Hollys wonderful hospitality!!

Beautiful cabin, unique. Loved it! Would recommend new mattresses in master bedroom, and needs more channels on TV. Other than that great time

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. I checked my records, and the master bedroom queen mattress was replaced on August 4, 2017, just five months before this client's stay. The cable package is the DirecTV Select package. There are more than 150 channels.

Hungry Horse is a small community adjacent to the west entrance of Glacier National Park. Hungry Horse offers a handful of restaurants, two convenience stores, a grocery store, post office, laundromat, a bar and a liquor store. We also have a few great souvenir shops. Hungry Horse is located just inside the mountains on the way to Glacier, where the south fork of the Flathead River joins the middle fork.

Additional information about rental rates

25% of the rental fee is required as a down payment to hold the reservation. The remaining balance plus the 7% lodging tax is due two weeks prior to check-in date. After final payment is received, key box code and directions will be provided via email. Credit card information will be held for 48 hours after check-out date to cover any damages. Client will be notified of damage costs prior to charge.

A rental agreement will be emailed to you upon payment of the deposit. If you choose to use online booking, you will be required to provide a credit card number directly to homeowner, in the case of damage to the property.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel your reservation more than 30 days from the check-in date, you will receive your entire 25% deposit back. If you cancel 15-30 days from check-in date, you will receive 1/2 of your deposit back. If you cancel your reservation within two weeks of check-in, you do not receive your deposit back.

There are no additional fees.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
