The 1888 House is a delightful, unexpected gem. Once the parsonage for the former church next door it holds many stories of hospitality and refuge. Lovingly restored it to carry the same mission. The beautifully unique & natural aesthetic mixed with subtle luxury is sure to draw you home in whatever your daily adventures. Beaches, wineries, shopping, restaurants, and all pure Michigan has to offer just minutes away. Enclosed back yard/paw motel room welcomes your fur babies too. See you soon!

Attention to asthenic, detail, and subtle luxury, we have given thought to the needs of all our guests. From 100% linen sheets, exclusive locally roasted coffee just for 1888 House, comfortable antique soaking tub and rain shower, reading book/daybed, large farm style dinner table, fast wifi, streaming services, well equipped kitchen, a pet "room" with bed, enclosed backyard with a fire-pit, hammock, and plenty of place to play. This is the perfect getaway for your getaway. You might not want to leave!

Lock box with entry code at front door. You will receive a check in code at the day of check in.

I give my guest privacy but am available if you need me.

We enjoyed our stay at the 1888 house while visiting for the weekend. The beds were comfortable though I did wish some of the seating options were more aware of comfort rather than just looks, but we made it work with the couch! We would totally stay here again because it was by far the most affordable and cute little spot in the area. The host was super responsive and communicated quickly when needed.

Had everything we needed, close to everything. Decor theme was Super cute. The pup pad was such a plus! We always get sad when we take a trip and have to leave him at home. The place has good bones and just needs some fine tuning around the edges but so much potential!

Great two bedroom house nearby downtown St Joesph. The only complaints were that there was little to no handsoap, very little paper towels, and no hooks to hang up shower towels. Overall not a bad house, great host.
