About Property Manager
Jay is an architect with his own practice and is also an artist; painting in encaustic (with beeswax), printmaking, and log carving. I am passionate about hiking, bicycling, skiing, camping and sea kayaking.
Property Manager purchased this House in 2012
Why Property Manager chose Diamond Point
Over the years, I have rented cabins near Sequim several times and have grown very fond of this area because there is so much to explore along with quiet relaxation. The mountains are nearby, yet the distance between mountains and shore is vast and offers much opportunities for walks and hikes. Some of my favorite places are the Miller Peninsula state park, located adjacent to the property; the Discovery trail (35+ mile bike route); and many hikes in the Olympic National Park and Buckhorn Wilderness. Port Townsend is 25 minutes away, with weekend events all through the summer and fall. The Sequim area has a low amount of rainfall, located in a rain-shadow, with more sun than other places in the region, making this a great place for outdoor recreation.
What makes this House unique
I remember stepping onto the huge porch when I first visited the property, experiencing the silence and a deep feeling of peace; viewing the garden, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and mountains and islands beyond. It is always a wonderful experience, full of so much to see and explore. The property is adjacent to over 2000 acres of undeveloped land, full of trails and mature trees. As well there are no neighbors to two other sides. Within a month, I became the owner and with every visit since then, that sense of calm and space has grown. It is always so wonderful to be on the front east-facing porch, or in the backyard paying attention to the birds' songs.

Came to relax with dear friends after a cruise. The home was just as pictured. Lovely large bedrooms, one with an attached bathroom. We loved walking to Mussel Beach. Nice drive to the Pacific coast and another lovely day exploring Sequim and the lavender farms.
Peaceful place in a great location
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and well looked after, and Jay, the owner was very responsive to the few questions we had.
Overall our stay was peaceful and relaxing. It's in an excellent location, being relatively close to Sequim, Port Townsend and Port Angeles.
Geoff and Emily.
The property is well presented, clean and all facilities we needed
We would be happy to rebook this house if we were to vacation in this area again.
Beautiful Little House
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. The kitchen was really well equipped and was a joy to cook in. Love that the back of the property was all wooded. Could see deer nearby from the veranda and also had a view of the water. The weather was great and it was a really nice getaway for the holiday weekend.
Beautiful home with a verity of interesting art. All you could need in cooking supplies.
Beautiful home, wonderful art work, The only concern was the unkept yard. If the owner is not in the area this may being overlooked.
Wonderful location to see the surrounding towns and parks/wildernesses areas.
Clean and Inviting Home
My family of four really enjoyed our stay at the Diamond Retreat! Tucked back in a quiet neighborhood, we really enjoyed this lovely home and surrounding landscape. My boys had fun exploring the yard, and my husband and I both appreciated the lovely art throughout the house. The house was about 15-20 minutes drive from downtown Sequim. We had a ton of fun using the house as a base to hike, bike and explore the area. We were surprised to find that there was a beach within walking distance! The house also provided the perfect place to wind down after busy days out-- we took advantage of Netflix and watched a couple of movies. Many thanks for sharing your lovely and relaxing home!
