Inside amenities include a pool table, ping pong, foosball, high speed internet, fireplace, games, & books. There are five smart TVs…one in each of the upstairs bedrooms, one in the main living room, and one in the terrace level living area. your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.

The view was beautiful. Spacious home, lovely kitchen. Proximity to local businesses etc was great. Lots of gathering space for family activities. Many bathrooms. Very comfortable for our large family gatherings.

Excellent family house

2025 Summer Vacation

Had a fantastic time! The house was beautiful and had literally every thing we needed. The kitchen was more stocked than any other VRBO we’ve stayed in, and was perfect with the wide open space and pool table right in the same big room. We rented a boat from Lake Chatuge Marina, and the boat fit perfectly on the floating dock, no problems whatsoever. The fire pit is as beautiful as the pictures show. We had one small glitch with the internet, but apparently a storm had knocked several other houses internet out as well, and the property management quickly had someone to the house to replace the bad modem and all was good in the WiFi world :-). The house is spacious and all in our party (8 of us total) said their respective beds were super comfy and slept great each night. The house is also super convenient to grocery, restaurants, local attractions, and obviously you can’t beat Lake Chatuge itself. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend as a great choice!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful week at Living the Dream. The inside perfect for our family of 9. We were able to gather as a group or break off into smaller groups for catching up . The bunk room with the sunroom/porch was perfect for our 3 teens/tweens. The dock was a huge hit. We would definitely stay here again!

Mountain Lake Getaway

Location was great easy access to both Hayesville and Hiawassee. Scenic surrounds, wildlife and of course the lake was great to relax and enjoy nature, or sit around the fire pit with family and caught up while the kids chase lightning bugs. The house had plenty of space to sleep and entertain all generations with a massive kitchen island, pool table, ping pong, plenty of board games and much more!!! Internet WiFi worked great to stay connected if needed too.

Great Location

The property is in a great location. The space was fantastic. It was obviously an older property that is in need of some care and maintenance. The outdoor areas specifically appeared to have not be maintained throughout winter months, very haphazard in appearance.Overall the size was great with many different spaces to enjoy. The amenities were good (i.e. pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, gas grill, gas fireplace and dock on the lake). All in all we would return to this property especially if the maintenance was kept up.

Great Lake front view

The good: the fire pit was enjoyed several times.There was ample wood supply & fun was had by all. The pool table was quite enjoyable, games were played nightly. The beds were comfortable. The view of the lake is beautiful. The difficult. The high top fire pit table on the porch & BBQ were not usable, because of no propane gas or even an empty to fill. The basement was very nice, but the musty smell kept us from using it. The kitchen is very well equipped but dated. Use the lower over, the top oven door is sprung & never gets real hot.

Communication was nearly non existent. I tried for two days to contact the management company with no response. I needed to know if someone was going to inspect the property after the tropical storm and let me know if the power was on and if there was any damage before we traveled 2 plus hours to get there. I finally called Little Bear Management and they advised the manager of our property was out of town on vacation. He apparently failed to have anyone in place to handle calls etc. Little Bear was kind enough to send someone out and did let us know everything was ok.

Of course, things happen and the heating motor went out during very cold night. Once reported to Greg, it was taken care of right away. My only suggestion would be to leave instructions for TVs. The one in living room and master bedroom never worked. We enjoyed the tv in rec room downstairs. The outside fire pit was awesome and we spent a lot of time out there. We are already thinking of a return visit in warmer weather. Thanks for having us.

Things that that needs attention

There are an enormous amount of stairs at this house both insude and outside. There are 6 different levels on the inside of the house. Lots and lots of stairs. Not good for elderly people or folks with mobility challenges. There areits and lots of stairs outside and those stairs are not built to code , they are mildewy and slippery, and are not level. Outside stairs are a problem as well. The dock has no steps to get on it. That is a major hazard try to get on and off the dick from the yard. The outdoor fireplace area was a mess and the fire place tools were laying on the ground rusting. The exterior of the house including the hand rails was very dirty, with lots of visible mildew, cobwebs, leaves, mold, ex..The master shower pan did not drain and filled up with water immediately. One of the primary beds in its own bedroom was not make up at all and looked like someone had just slept in it. re are lots and lots

Nice-Could Be Great

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First let me say that this is a great house. I am aware that the owners have been putting money into the house. We could tell that new carpet had just been laid through most of the home. That being said, there are some major issues inside the house. Upon entering the home we were immediately met with the strong odor of mold. In the downstairs basement area where the bunkbeds are the smell was extremely strong. My oldest son was asking if we could leave for home before our time was up because he was so miserable from sneezing. The yard was great, especially if you bring a dog. Also, the dock was very nice and I actually caught a couple of fish from it. We rented a boat from Boundary Waters boat rental, and were able to attach it to the dock. We arrived at the house at 3 o'clock, our scheduled check in time, but the cleaning crew was still there. We pulled into the empty lot across the street from the house to wait for them to finish. We found approximately 20+ towels shoved into the dryer that were not dry. Also we took photographs of cobwebs throughout the house. We made great use of ping-pong and pool tables and over all, we had a nice time. Unfortunately the mold/mildew issues detracted a great deal from our stay. Until the mold issues are addressed, I would not recommend this home to a friend.

Living the Nightmare

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had read previous reviews, which were not favorable. Unfortunately I ignored them. We experienced several of the same situations as other renters. The floors hadn't seen a broom, vacuum or mop in a long long time! The bath towels are badly stained, obviously bleach has never been considered there. The amount of dead bugs and crumbs and spilt liquids all over the place was bizarre considering the cleaning people had supposedly just been there.The porches were covered with weeks, months, of heavy debris and we spent several hours using brooms and blowers making it possible to use and enjoy.We even found balloons covered in confetti rolling around and under furniture. The refrigerator was not clean so we needed to remove shelves and wash everything before we could load our groceries. We placed all dishes, utensils and glasses that we would be using immediately in the dishwasher for a cleaning cycle because they too were filthy, in the cabinets! Pots and pans were hand washed and set aside for future use during our stay.The general filth that had to be cleaned from our first steps on the porch and then throughout the house was both unexpected and time consuming! Cleaning fees are added and included with the rental fees. I resent paying for a service that was not provided. Not to mention all the supposed Covid protocols the rental company claims to adhere to in the booklet!Be warned!! We have been in contact with Greg at Majestic Mountain Getaways, with assurance of partial refund, yet NO refund has been received!I would never, ever recommend Living the Dream rental to anyone!In fact we will never use Majestic Mountain Getaway for any future rentals. There's just no excuse for such conditions to be acceptable to any business.Phone calls to the rental company have been met with excuses but NO actions

Why Do You Need A Buyer's Agent?
First of All Having a Buyer's Agent Does Not Add to your Cost.
The seller along with the seller's agent pays the buyer's agent fee. Many buyers mistakenly believe they would get a better deal if they do not use a buyer's agent. They assume that since the seller has to pay the agent a commission, they would be willing to pass those savings on to the buyer if they do not use an agent. This is NOT true. In fact, seller's agents charge the same price regardless of whether or not you use an agent.

Here are a few things a buyer's agent does:

Helps you through the negotiating process. This is probably the most important part of having an agent represent you. The agent working for the builder or seller has one job and that is to sell you a home – maximizing the profits for their seller. You have to understand everything you're signing including addendums to the contract, possible delays, what would happen if your current home doesn't sell, etc. The most important thing to remember is that a buyer's agent helps walk you through everything step by step and works FOR YOU, not the seller.
Makes sure you don't overpay for a home. If you buy your home directly from the seller's agent they are only looking out for the seller's interests. A buyer's agent will provide you with valuable comparable properties and five you their opinion of the value.
