The property and house were wonderful. We loved the outdoors with the squirrels and all the different bird sounds!! Very easy checking in and out and the Bed was so comfortable.
Had an amazing weekend. Cabin is located in a very private setting with a great back deck, yet close enough to town (5 minute drive). Would highly recommend.
Very clean and accomodating place to stay. The hosts, Eric and Peter are very welcoming and communicative via text and email. Nice and cozy accent fire and space heater in the bedroom to keep it warm and comfortable! Lots of amenities such as fully srocked kitchen supplies, towels and soap etc for the bathroom. Thanks so much!
We were in Mt Shasta to teach . This little cabin was a beautiful spot to come back to at the end of the day. Close to town but felt like we were really out in nature. It’s the perfect getaway location!
Cottage was as advertised! Communication with check in and logistics with the Cottage was perfect. Move in and enjoy! Easy! Cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Kitchen had all we needed. Bed was very comfortable. Bath was just like home! Book with confidence! Seems very remote, but you are few minutes from I5. Easy as can be for your trip!
Lovely property, tucked away in a quiet and peaceful wooded grove. Very comfortable bed, lots of towels, lots of hot water, and a bathtub to soak in. We would gladly stay here, again. Excellent communication with property management for assistance with how to operate the cabin's heat, lock, etc. No mountain views, but the area is more than lovely, nonetheless. Recommended!
The property is exactly as described in the Vrbo advertisement. It is extremely comfortable. It is advertised with 59 amenities. I promise you, you will experience 101 different amenities. From the time we got there it was a gift, from paper towels. The water is ice cold running from the tap so sweet tastes like it’s coming straight from Mount Shasta.
This was my first time using Vrbo, so I didn’t exactly know what to expect. When we arrived I was surprised it was a mother-in-suite directly beside a larger home. It wasn’t what I thought I was renting so I thought I was in the wrong place. The cabin was definitely adequate and I liked the bed quite a bit. I became irritated when I tried to find a heater that worked. The fireplace didn’t work, the thermostat was labeled “out of order.” The little bedroom heater in the closet did’t work. Thank goodness the upright AC/Heater thing in the bedroom corner worked pretty well. The gutters are all overflowing when it rains, and there are hardly any. Also, why are there so many remote controls for things that aren’t there or don’t work? Very confusing. The light switch placements were counterintuitive and difficult to locate. My wife never complains about even the most modest accommodations, but it was impossible to sit comfortably on the couch next to her because every seam between the cushions was like sitting on a narrow piece of wood. It was quite painful, despite placing additional pillows on top of the cushions. I thought the location was close enough to everything I wanted to do and it was pretty quiet, aside from the party animals in the hot tub located directly behind the only bedroom in our bungalow. The bed was nice and comfortable and the kitchen seemed nice as well although we went out to eat most meals.
From the photos we thought this would be a quaint little cottage in the woods at the edge of town. It's a cute older cottage with beautiful wood floors and many original features. Unfortunately, somewhere in its history there were occupants who were heavy smokers. The smell was obvious and unpleasant for us. It is an older home in a sometimes damp environment, so an expected musty smell was also present. Fortunately, there are lots of windows and doors that opened so we were able to air it out a bit. It was well appointed with nice furniture, remodeled bathroom, and very comfortable king size bed with lots of cozy bedding. The kitchen could use a deep cleaning. The view out two sides of the cottage is wonderful, and the back deck is quiet, peaceful and private. The front overlooks the messy construction area of the home next to cottage. The driveway in front of the cottage was partially blocked with building materials and equipment which we had to navigate around to get in and out. The neighboring lot is a commercial wood lot and under construction, so the view from the front porch was disappointing. We were there over a weekend, but Monday morning brought construction workers in the front yard and activity at the wood lot. We wanted to love this cottage, but in spite of its many positives, we disappointed. I'm sure it would work well for others, just not us.
This home is managed by Mount Shasta Vacation rentals, a Veteran Owned business. We love this area because of all the amazing, year round activates available. Hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, ski & snowboarding, fly fishing, snowshoeing and exploring the forest, rivers and the mountain. This place is a paradise and we are honored to share it with you.
