The Grand Lodge Hotel is located on Crested Butte Mountain in the heart of the base area. Walking distance to the slopes, shops, and main transit center. Amenities for the complex include an indoor/outdoor heated pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center, and in-house restaurant. Crested Butte Lodging & Property Management, Inc. provides free parking and wifi.

This hotel suite features a kitchenette to make meals in with a small refrigerator, single burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, and your basic utensils for cooking and eating. The open-concept floor plan makes the suite feel large and spacious and provides a king bed, as well as a king murphy for additional sleeping arrangements.

The FREE Mountain Express Shuttle runs year-round for transportation to and from the Town of Crested Butte and surrounding areas. Summer schedule runs every 20 minutes; winter schedule runs every 15 minutes; shoulder seasons every 40 minutes.

Crested Butte Lodging & Property Management provides the basic comforts of home. Upon your arrival, you’ll find that we supply all linens, towels, and paper goods. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, starter shower kits, coffee packets with powder creamer and sugar, kitchen towels, dish sponges, dish soap, and dish detergent. If you would like to arrange housekeeping services during your stay, please contact our office to schedule for a modest fee.

Great ski weekend!

We had a great stay for a long ski weekend! Super close to the lifts and very comfortable. Parking and check-in were easy and the kids loved to pool/hot tub!

Location was top notch! A short 3-4 minute walk to Red Lady Express. The room was great for two. Our room had a mini fridge, sink, dishwasher, dishes and utensils, one stovetop burner, etc. Very pleased with our stay!

Never got an email or text with the door entry code. Had to call to get the code. Never got the hot tub code, again had to call. Room was clean but smelled of cigarettes. Nice pool and hot tub. Good location.

Great location!

We stayed during the summer and had great access to go into town or hit surrounding mountain bike trails. The building is a little dated but very clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were great! Parking and door access was easy. Codes were texted in advance and they even gave dining recommendations when I asked. No AC may have been an issue but it got into the 40s at night and there is a box fan in the closet. We didn’t stay in the room during the day.

Perfect location for our Fall hiking and Summer wildflower festival visit. Note that this facility has a bus stop steps away — providing FREE transportation to Gunnison (many convenient stops) and historic Crested Butte. We have been coming here for years - the price is right. Nice employees too.

Great location but dated.

Great location and parking. We were disappointed that the ceiling fan did not work. It was definitely needed. Thankfully there was a box fan that we used. No soap in the bathroom for the shower or sink area. The interior was very dated. The mini kitchen was a bonus.

The cleanliness and location of this VRBO were great, which were definitely the highlights of our stay. However, several issues made the overall experience just okay.First, the check-in process was challenging. There is no front desk, and after flying in with all of our luggage, there was nowhere to store it while waiting for our room. We had to remain in the lobby with our bags, which made things difficult for our family. There were also no food, drink, or grab-and-go options available, so we had to split up—one person stayed with the luggage while another went out to find food. On a positive note, we were able to get into our room earlier than expected, which was appreciated.Unfortunately, our toilet was broken for about three of the five nights we stayed. Maintenance had to come out multiple times to try to fix the issue, which was frustrating and disruptive.Lastly, while the building is advertised as non-smoking, our next-door neighbors smoked marijuana nightly. The smell was very strong and carried into our unit, and it did not seem to be enforced despite the no-smoking policy.Overall, the location and cleanliness were great, but the lack of luggage storage, ongoing maintenance issues, and lack of enforcement of building rules really impacted our stay.

Those are two things we work very hard to get right. We’re sorry the arrival experience felt stressful. As noted in the listing, this property does not have a staffed front desk, but we understand how challenging travel days can be, especially with family and luggage. We’re glad we were able to accommodate early access once the unit was ready, but we recognize that arriving earlier than 4PM isn’t ideal. We also sincerely apologize for the toilet issue. Having maintenance address something multiple times during a stay is frustrating and disruptive, and that’s not the experience we want for our guests. We’ve since escalated the repair to ensure it’s fully resolved. Regarding the smoking concern, the building does have a non-smoking policy, and we take that seriously. Odor transfer between units can unfortunately happen in multi-family buildings, but we appreciate you bringing it to our attention so it can be addressed with the HOA and neighboring unit as appropriate. We understand how these issues impacted your overall experience and appreciate the balanced feedback. It helps us improve and ensure smoother stays moving forward.
