We'd really like to keep this place a secret. We had so much fun staying here. We were very comfortable, everything was so nicely furnished and clean. The fireplace is nice. Great location.

Great location, comfortable and clean

  • 5 of 5

The location can not be beat in Crested Butte- easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, grocery- great coffee! Parking is right in front of the house, so easy and convenient. Next door to bike shop for rentals- and skiing of course is close by.

The house itself is comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed and equipped with everything you need to have a restful stay--we found the neighborhood to be quiet at night even though close to town. We visited for a late Fall week in the Crested Butte- Gunnison area and thought the layout of the house was perfect for our stay with our adult son- everyone has their own space, but with a comfortable living and kitchen area to hang out with TV or music. Washer and dryer were a plus for an extended stay.

Easy to communicate and fast follow-up from owner and managers of the property- definitely recommend!

Cozy Crested Butte charmer

  • 5 of 5

This house is the perfect host to a Crested Butte getaway. The main floor has a nice open concept that is conducive for enjoying quality time with loved ones. The house is cozy with modern finishes. It is just around the corner from downtown Crested Butte. You can walk to Camp4 for some coffee in the morning and drinks/dinner in the evening. Bob was great. He communicated promptly and thoroughly. He was very kind. We will definitely stay here again next year if it is available.

Cozy, Nicely Furnished, and Great Location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this property in September 2017 for two nights with a couple of friends (and my french bulldog), and we were very pleased with the experience. The owner was very responsive, and easy to deal with. The backyard was spacious and fenced-in; my bulldog loved having ample space to play and run around.

Prime location with convenient access to the local grocery store, shopping and dining along Elk Street. Plus the bike shop is next door so it's very convenient if you're renting bikes during your stay, or if you simply want to get recommendations on trails. Across the main street (Gothic?) there are tennis courts and a nice open field to enjoy the surrounding mountains and scenery. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is roughly 1.5 miles up the road, and there is a free bus service that frequently runs between the mountain and in town.

We stayed here to hike, bike, and enjoy the Fall colors. There were abundant hiking/biking options nearby - the closest and easiest hike we did was along Meridian (Long) Lake up Gothic to Washington Gulch. The 401 Trail, Teocalli, and Doctor Park mountain bike rides are all relatively close as well - Doctor Park was the furthest and the drive took roughly 20 minutes to get to the trail head.

The home is very cozy with sufficient heating (during our stay highs were in the 60s and lows in the 30s) but no knowledge or experience of the AC in hotter months. The bottom floor basically consists of two couches, a fully furnished open kitchen, washer/dryer, and half bathroom. The TV is mounted inside of the wall, and relatively small (I'd guess 20"); though we weren't visiting to be indoors and watch TV so no complaints, just something to be aware of. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms with 1 King Size bed, and 2 Queen Size beds, and a full bathroom.

Access to outdoor recreation is excellent. While this is not a slopeside ski in/out property I would still consider staying here for the winter months as there are plenty of dining options nearby and it's a relatively short distance to CB; although under a rare inclement weather event (i.e. over a foot overnight) where the roads were not plowed I'm guessing it would be challenging to get up the road without chains, winter tires and/or 4WD.

Overall, I would certainly stay here again, and will recommend to friends and family. Highly recommend experiencing this beautiful mountain town and considering making this your hub for all outdoor activities.
