The unfortunate accident of robbery described is a SCAM! We had no sign of break in anywhere, neither at the gate nor at perimeter walls, nor at the entry doors to the rooms which were locked, nor at the safes which were intact and closed with guest codes. We finished our investigation with the police, the safe experts and maintenance people and determined that this was either fabricated by the guest to get money from us or an inside job by one of the guest. No other option possible. We feel used and taken advantage of by these guests. We have been responsive and helpful after the claimed theft. We believed these clients at first and offered to pay for breakfasts, dinners, private massages and tours to help them out … until we realized it was absolutely NOT our responsibility to do so and we had been taken advantage of. The police report was used by them to get travel insurance, to get money from us and they even had the courage to request a reimbursement from VRBO. Shameless all the way. . It is really sad to see that people can orchestrate such thing and are so blatant about it. My favorite part is that our computer system records all opening and closing of the safes and there was no trace of them being opened or closed at the time the guests claimed they were away from the home. The clients called us to claim the theft 35 minutes before they actually opened the safes which is clearly ridiculous and prove they are lying. They probably thought we would have no way to catch their fraud and they tried their luck on us. They got busted but feel comfortable continuing with their absurd story. I we reported them to VRBO before they left the house and I am expecting VRBO to take down this ridiculous and offensive review!

Adriana was a horrible guest. She claims she got robbed even though we have 5 safes for 5 bedrooms. She and everybody in her group had an opportunity to use the safes Instead they left their money in backpacks and doors unlocked. and then they claimed that they got robbed out of three different bedrooms! Wow! She had an opportunity to protect her self and her guests and decided not to take it. We ask all our guests to use the safes annd lock doors and she didn’t take it seriously. Ad far as I can tell, she probably didn’t even get robbed because as soon as she claimed this happened, she asked for a full reimbursement of the amount paid for the house rental! Uhm … just a bit suspicious. I won’t even comment on the rest of the BS in her review because it’s totally retaliatory and pure revenge for not getting a full reimbursement from us. Don’t trust this person … she will do anything to appease her rage!
