A beach and surf lover's paradise, this secluded beach and oceanfront property with pool, bordered by a tropical riverbed, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, and on the sand, is located right in front of, and is the closest house to the famous 'Burros' Surf break. Casa Rincon is situated within the lovely Punta del Burro beach community which is one of the oldest beachfront developments in the Punta de Mita and Bay of Banderas area, giving it the charm for which it is renown and making it a highly desirable location, coveted for it's privacy and safety. Not adjacent to any town or village and with gated 24/7 security Punta Del Burro is far, far away from any of the problems associated with other distant areas of Mexico today. No house on this beach gets closer to the famous surf point than Casa Rincon. Hidden away in the unusual privacy, tranquility and quiet of our magical position in the bay, expect to luxuriate and restore yourself while watching the surf, the sunrise, the sunset from the many patios, the Grand Palapa, the long front row seat of our rustic, low stone sea wall patio, from a hammock or from our broad white beach in front. Ideal for extended family reunions, providing multiple gathering places as well as many individual patios for private day dreaming.

Casa Rincon is one home which consists of the main house, (Casa Rincon), the 'round' house,(Casa Rinconcito), Casa Surf and two other casitas,(Casa Luna and Casa Sol). Casa Rincon and Casa Rinconcito each have full gourmet kitchens with stone and marlble countertops. All rooms have private patios and balconies. It is fully wheelchair/handicap friendly all the way to the beach! Filled with beautiful tropical hardwoods, stone arches, boveda entry, red tile and palapa roofing, two beehive fireplaces, antiques, folk art, fine pottery, luxurious linens and more, Casa Rincon will become your go to home away from home. Get lost strolling along the secret walkways and patios through expansive tropical vegetation, with always the ocean and beach in sight

An emerald swimming pool fills the courtyard between the kitchen of Casa Rincon and the broad brick walkways leading past Casa Rinconcito on to the Grand Palapa and beach. The Grand Palapa is perfect for lounging in a hammock or dining with it's built in stone and brick table, cushioned equipali leather chairs and elegant hand crafted travertine buffet serving counter and carved marble sink. Lounge in a hammock or chaise amidst coconut palms shading the expansive beachfront stone patios with front row views of the bay, the surf, the point, and the winter sun setting right behind the Marieta Islands. Watch mother and baby whales leap into the air from your chair or hammock!

This property, our bordering riverbed and back property, are lush with rare plants, haliconias, orchids, tropical fruit orchards and tropical bird song; truly a paradise for bird lovers with over 18 species . Books on the local flora, fauna and birdlife are in our library.
Punta del Burro is located 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta and 7 miles south of Punta de Mita enjoying spectacular views of the whole bay with a beautiful beach free of crowds and vendors.

Maid Service: We have a live-in, on site caretaker/gardener/cook, Luis, and daily maid service included. Special arrangements can be made with the owner or our house manager, Pablo Perez, to hire our help or others as cooks. Everyone loves their cooking!

SURF INFO: The main break at Burros is a fast right with a short left. Waves are usually chest high and can easily reach overhead in summer and winter. As access to this beach is not easy this break is the least crowded in the area.

The main peak at the point travels all the way to the front of the house where there is almost always a safe gentle surf for beginners, boogie boarders, body surfers and swimmers while farther out always a good size wave for anyone. Other surf spots nearby: Destiladeras, Punta de Mita, Sayulita, El Coral, Los Veneros, La Lancha,El Faro.

Surfboards, kayaks and SUP are available to rent for a nominal fee. Plenty of boogie boards are available gratis.

Although most people think of visiting during the cooler Winter and Spring months, Casa Rincon is also very beautiful and special during the hotter, wetter Summer months which happen to be our favorite time. The pool provides ideal refreshment, (as well as over 30 fans on the entire property, and air conditioning which we never even use), and all the lush trees provide plenty of shade. What we love more than anything are the exciting lightning and thunder showers, fireflies, fantastic surf, and the vibrant colors of the rainy season. The rains come and go quickly, bringing spectacular sunsets and sunrises, plenty of time in the sun and surf and leaving everything fresh and beautiful. Of course, the Spring and Winter are divine.

Also, please note that During the Winter/Christmas holiday the house has a one week minimum and the same for the Spring/Easter two week holiday. )

TWO HALF HOUSE COMPOUND options are available:
CASA RINCON HALF: includes Casa Rincon with both Casa Luna and Casa Sol: sleeps 6-8+
CASA RINCONCITO HALF: which includes Casa Rinconcito along with Casa Surf: sleeps up to 6+,
SPECIAL AND LOWER RATES for even fewer rooms, and people, and longer stays, depending on the season and availability Just ask! Always ask about dates, as I do not post dates.
RATES: are for up to 12 persons. up to 14 please add $50/night; up to 16 (with owner approval) add $100/night.

Wonderful place

Had a great time with five adults and two,children. The ocean is good for surfing but not swimming, too rough for children and for me but we had fun looking into tide pools. My daughter surfed every day. All of us had our own little house so we could be together but still be apart if we wanted. I highly recommend this property.

We stayed here last year... about 12 in our family. Ages 10 and up. We had the BEST vacation ever! This was honestly the first family vacation that we did not want to leave. The property is beautiful and Luis and his wife were the best!..We found it to be so relaxing and peaceful here. 70 Birthday adventure with adult children and grandchildren

Property is lush, on the beach and like a private resort. There were 14 of us, 6 children ranging from age 3 to 14. Plenty of space for all and everyone had their own beds and bathrooms(important). Staff, Luis, Erika, Tessie and ninja housekeeper Jenny were wonderful. The breakfast and dinners were wonderful that Erika and Tessie prepared. Jenny was great about keeping everything in order, you knew she was there but not sure where and then it was clean! Pool was nice but a little to cold because it's always shaded. Would definitely recommend and are looking at a return visit with other family members.

Wonderfully relaxing in beautiful setting!

We were celebrating a 50th birthday with nine ladies and had a spectacular time. The home was like living in luxurious huts in the jungle and the beach was beautiful - calm for a few days and wonderful surf on the other days. Highly recommend have meals cooked while there as the food was very good and made the trip all the more relaxing to not cook and clean. We also rented a car for the first time and it was great to be able to visit Sayulita, Punta Mita and Bucerias on our time. We felt very safe within the the Punta del Burro compound as well. Would have liked the pool to be a bit warmer and would recommend being very specific on time of arrival if you are having grocery shopping done in advance so supplies are available upon arrival. Overall, wonderful experience with plenty of time to relax, activities to do in a beautiful setting.

Great family vacation property

This property exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were just right for our family of 15 with enough private space for each couple and plenty of common space for for us to get together for meals and to socialize. The younger children enjoyed the small swimming pool and the adults and older children enjoyed using the surf boards and boogie boards in the ocean. Luiz and the entire staff were fantastic. They prepared many of our meals and each one was delicious.

Perfect Place in Paradise!

Villa Rincon lived up to my expectations in every way. It is relatively close to Puerto Vallarta while feeling very far away from all the city bustle. The south facing stretch of coast is lined with sandy beach and waves that were just right. There were always a few people walking the beach but not many. The property is extraordinary. Arrival from above the beach on a hillside puts you at the level of the master house. Then you can take one of many paved paths, ramps or stairs from one casita to the next. Each has its own unique character and name. Each is painted a different color. Just up from the beach is the palapa covered dining area and a row of lounge chairs and umbrellas and hammocks. The pool is right outside the kitchen. It isn't very big but we found that the kids would swim while we ate and drank coffee and visited. This made for more fun for the folks preparing the food as they were in the thick of things. The staff are great and go out of their way to be helpful. We had them prepare two dinners for us and ate leftovers the rest of the time! We all expressed amazement that our rooms were cleaned and tidied daily and we almost didn't know it was happening. All in all a memorable experience was had by all of us and I highly recommend it!

Awesome Vacation For 5 Couples

Pablo, Luis & Erica were fantastic. You could stay at another location, but you could never have better service food, convenience and location. The house is secluded, right on the beach with wonderful amenities. Every evening we had Luis bring wood to the beach for our post dancing bonfire on the beach as we watched the hermit crabs travel all over the sand. They have 2 kayaks, multiple surf boards, ping pong, towels, sun block, etc. The waves never let up and were easy to surf for the beginners and great for the experienced a little further down the beach. We rented a car and had Luis drive us to any destination we wanted to go: Dinner (Four Seasons), shopping at the Mega, getting more beer and tequila. We loved Casa Rincon and recommend it to anyone looking for a great beach vacation in Mexico. I also recommend fishing one day at least We saw so many whales and caught over 24 fish. I don't know if it is OK to leave a recommendation, but Fernando was our fishing contact and the experience well worth the effort. Best Family Vacation!

Casa Rincon is a beautiful place and great location, with amazing staff! My son in law wanted Erika to come home with us, so he could enjoy her fabulous cooking all the time! Dining under the Palapa while watching the surf roll in, was a slice of heaven! We were all saying that Erika’s culinary expertise was definitely 5 stars, plus she is so very sweet! We really enjoyed having our welcoming margaritas and best ever guacamole upon our arrival! We all spent a lot of time in the water; boogie boarding, kayaking, and of course surfing, and loved every minute of it! We also enjoyed playing with the grand babies in the pool! Great memories for all! Pablo took great care of us, picking us up from the airport, getting us a rental car, groceries stocked etc…

Mid April 2016...CO family goes to Casa Rincon

2 adults, 2 young teenagers (12,14). I feel so lucky to have been able to stay at Casa Rincon. I had made prior reservations at a "mega resort" but knew it wasn't the right fit for my family. At a moment's notice, this home became available for our family. I quickly cancelled the resort res and booked Casa Rincon. This place truely is like a slice of heaven. My family was beyond happy with the home and the location. Walking right off the home property to the beach for walking, shell seaking, surfing, sea kyaking, SUP, never a dull moment. We rented a car so we had access to the lovely town of (10 min) La Cruz for fine dining or local street tacos. Very close to Punta de Mita for a more touristy town and to plan excursions. (10min). The staff at the home (housekeeping, cooks, caretaker) were a huge plus and all were very helpful, trustworthy, and delightful to speak Spanish/English with and learn from. The home is completely equipped with lovely linens, beautiful kitchenware/dishes; really more than you need. 30 min from the airport....far enough away but close enough also. The sea wall/back deck was a wonderful place to relax with a cup of coffee or later in the day, margaritas, while our kids searched for sea life and shells. Games, cards, a pool, and a fabulous ping-pong table. This was probably one of the best vacations my family has ever taken and I truly feel that Casa Rincon was a big part of the success. We are so grateful.

Attention to every detail - Best vacation property ever!

Incredible.... simply incredible. We are so grateful to have found this slice of heaven in the Riviera Nayarit. Our family of 16 (12 adults and 4 kids) spent an amazing week at Casa Rincon this past christmas week, and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away! From our seamless airport transportation and prestocked groceries (Gracias Pablo!) , to our nightly home cooked, multiple course elaborate Mexican dinners (Gracias Luis y Erica!), to the swim fins & surfboards with GoPro mounts already installed (Gracias Barbara!) - Barbara and her staff have thought of EVERYTHING that a family could possibly need to enjoy themselves, and truly and fully RELAX. Add to that the unforgettable experiences of surfing with our kids, seeing humpback whales from the palapa at the house, and bonding over day after day of perfect beach weather, our family left Casa Rincon counting the days until we return next year... We are so grateful to Barbara and her staff for sharing this beautiful home with us!

Perfectly appointed in every way- from our airport pick ups to the the garlic coconut shrimp- Barbara left no detail untouched! Absolute paradise!

What an amazing place in this world! Casa Rincon is the perfect place to stay whatever your needs! My husband and I stayed in Casa Rinconsita, the magical round house and enjoyed sea views and sea breeze all day long. Its simply beautiful. We opted for Playa Del Burros so that we could surf, and the Casa provided everything we needed like surf board rentals, reef booties, and of course direct access to the break just a few steps away. We couldn't have asked for more! Luis, Pablo and Barbara went above our expectations to ensure that we had the perfect getaway and we really felt looked after and very welcomed to this outstanding home. We don't usually visit the same places twice, but we will definitely be going back to Casa Rinconsita!

We could not have asked for a more idyllic vacation than the one we had at Casa Rincon. We planned to spend time visiting Sayulita and Punta Mita but Casa Rincon was so lovely and relaxing that we barely ended up leaving the house! Paradise!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this amazing paradise and couldn't have been happier with our location. The compound of 5 houses are well laid out, providing privacy for everyone. The stunning location right ON the beach is second to none; truly spectacular. The beauty of Casa Rincon is only surpassed by the amazing people who work there; Luis goes above and beyond at every turn and is a true gem. Absolutely Sublime!!!

We've been coming to Casa Rincon for 5 years now. We took our honeymoon in Rinconcito (the enchanting 2-story casita right on the beach) in 2009, and we can't stop coming back! Barbara and her staff are so warm, courteous, talented and helpful, and their knowledge of local food and incredible cooking always pushes our visits over the top. We often end up eating better at home than at any of the (many excellent) restaurants and resorts in the area! This time we had our whole family, ranging from the gramps all the way down to our newest 2 yr old additions - for our 5 year wedding anniversary. Everyone had an absolutely fabulous time and there was something for everyone! From chilling out in the pool, to getting a massage under the grand palapa, to shopping for fresh seafood nearby, to surfing right out front (and much much more), Casa Rincon and it's surrounding Nayarit area are a totally fantastic family destination. Guaranteed new favorite! We can't recommend this property highly enough! Six stars!!!

Unforgettable!

We have now stayed at Casa Rincon and all the surrounding dwellings on this property, two years in a row. Both years we have vacationed here with two other families (14 people total, kids and adults). We are avid surfers and beach lovers and this property is absolute perfection for us. The surf break is right in front of the house, so it offers constant entertainment and whoops for all surfers of all abilities. The beach is private, secluded and lovely. The houses are clean, comfortable and so inviting whether you are nesting with a good book, watching a movie, or whooping it up with some friends and tequila! The pool is lovely and the grounds are gorgeous. The caretaker and his wife are delightful and cook amazing food! We had them cook every single night for us and we ate under the palappa with white lights and ocean breezes- paradise. It doesn't get any better than this place...

I rented Casa Rincon and the neighboring Casa Selvatica for a small family wedding. Casa Rincon is the most amazing, even magical place I have ever rented. The property is perfect for large groups and family's. Everyone is together in one gorgeous location but still has there own space. The actual property almost reminded us of a luxurious Swiss Family Robison location with the jungle and beach and all the cute little casitas. Everyone was so blown away by the beauty and creative design of the property. Luis and Alicia are nothing short of amazing. They created huge dinners two nights in a row for our group and they were no doubt the best meals we had the whole trip. Luis, even with limited English, couldn't be more sweet and helpful. He made a huge bonfire for us one night and kept the property so tidy the whole time. The dogs that live on the property couldn't be sweeter, everyone loved them! We had originally planned to have this family wedding in Sayulita but after experiencing Punt del Burro I feel like I'm in on a well kept secret. This place is beyond perfect!

A Holidays Celebration!!!

To celebrate my (Gramzie's) birthday and ring in the New Year, our family spent 9 wonderful days at Casa Rincon. 13 of us included 5 children ages 1 to 9. Luis is a gem! He and Alicia are two VERY caring special people and so accommodating. My husband loved to accompany Luis to the market. They prepared a wonderful birthday celebration with even a pinata for the children. Pablo, the house manager, was most hospitable and helpful with transportation, car rental, questions, etc. Even the dogs here are super and protective. The children loved their days on the beach in and out of the water. Casa Rincon is on a stretch of beautiful homes and the closet to the water; lots of privacy and a very tranquil spot. Barbara provides lots of beach toys. Our son in law enjoyed the great surfing in this area. We loved the fantastic whale watching, kayaking, body surfing and walks on the beach. 400 yds. down the beach in front of the Palladium Hotel is a tidal pool perfect for the young children. We enjoyed a serene, relaxing time and we would love to return. Thanks Barbara!

Heaven, can't wait to go back!

Heaven, can't wait to go back! We visited Casa Rincon in January with a group of friends and had the best time. We stayed in the master bedroom in the main house with our 9 month old baby. Our room was perfect. It had the most comfortable king bed with big windows and french doors overlooking the front of the compound and the water. We fell asleep every night to the sound of crashing waves. There was a huge walk in closet that we actually put our daughter's crib in and it worked great. The rest of the house and compound was just as beautiful and meticulously decorated as our room. The staff were another highlight of staying at Casa Rincon. Everyone went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We had them cook two meals for us, and they were delicious. A Magical Experience for all!!!

Our stay could not have been more exquisite! Casa Rincon is a magical place of heaven on Earth! We are already planning our return trip - with many more who want to join us! The villa had everything we could ask for. There was no reason to leave (except to run to the fresh fish market down the road). The staff was incredible - and it was a blast improving my spanish with Luis as he learned more english with me. I wish there was enough space to express how wonderful the experience was! Room enough to spread out, yet gather for meals in the main house if you wish, toys for surfing and kayaking. The lids played ping pong to their hearts content (not to mention the Monopoly marathon game every night)! Snorkeling right outside (bring your own mask, snorkel and fins). Walks on the beach, along with a fire at night! If you go on the beach at night, bring a flashlight and you will find out what all the tracks in the sand are - way cool!! The entire area is a photo bug's dream! This is the place for families and friends to connect, relax and enjoy each other's company with room for privacy! Lastly, I HIGHLY recommend having AT LEAST one meal prepared by Luis and Alicia as it is incredible! The ultimate slice of paradise!!! We look forward to our return!!

True Vacation

My wife and I traveled with 2 other couples and their children ages 12+. Our party of 11 stayed a week at Casa Rincon and we could not be more thrilled with our choice. Not only was the location excellent the service provided by the owners house manager was excellent and made us completely comfortable from the get go. We also used (at a modest extra cost) the house staff for some of our cooking, and in all honesty the staff made everything welcoming and wonderful. We enjoyed a week of total relaxation - there was no need to go anywhere unless we wanted to - we did once to go swim with wild dolphins with Wildlife Connection - we recommend that. If you are looking for a quiet getaway right on the beach, this is the one - enjoy!! We are already planning our return trip - we fell in love with the spot and especially the staff who did a great job of keeping everything orderly as well as giving us all the privacy we wanted.

Casa Rinconcita

My wife and I were looking to take a vacation for surfing, food, and relaxation... We found the perfect place at Casa Rincon! This is truly a beautiful property with the feeling of security and seclusion. The area is gated, and there are amazing houses on this strip of the coast. There is a surf break in front of the house, and the water is like bath water. We stayed in the "Casa Rinconcita, and it was perfect for the two of us. Luis and his wife (property care takers) made us amazing dinners and margaritas every night as we dined with the ocean and sunset as our view. We took a day trip to Sayulita for fun, it's only 30 mins away and fun to do for the day. We also took a day trip to Puerto Vallarta for a zip line tour, and it was a blast! We will be returning next year for some rest and relaxation! I would recommend this to anyone who is planning on visiting Mex!!! Thanks for everything Barbara!

The good life!

This was our second stay at Casa Rincon and we will definitely be back. The house, the grounds, the beach, the pool, everything is beautiful! My husband loves that he can just walk out to the surf and the kids and I love to play in the pool all day. This is like our new favorite home away from home! It has a great kitchen for cooking, laundry, wireless, vonage phone line, views, comfort (I could go on and on!) We have traveled all over Mexico and this is our new favorite place to vacation. The house is located in a beautiful, private area but El Anclote is a short drive if you want groceries or a good meal (Si Senor is sooooo good!- try the cucumber serrano margaritas!) Sayulita is right up the way too if you want more good food, surf and shopping. We loved just staying at the house and enjoying the quiet and privacy. We look forward to going back next year and bringing more family with us for a family reunion! LOVE this place!

Great surf,beauty,tranquility, privacy,devine house staff,lovely nieghbors, and basically,a big slice of heaven. Life isn't the same afterwards!You can go in and out of the ocean all day, snacking, reading, strumming a guitar, and napping in between. There's privacy for everyone, and many magical places for gathering together.
