This is a completely remodeled home, top to bottom with amenities unseen in the area. You shouldn't have to feel like you are in the 70's to enjoy Clearlake. With this property you can dock your boat right at the back porch and head out to ski or fish at first light without packing up the car. This 3 bedroom home has 2.5 baths with a gorgeous kitchen with everything you need to cook a great meal. New Gas BBQ ready to go as well. From the kitchen you can see the 46' HD flatscreen equipped with DirectTV with premium HD channels including HBO, regional sports package and the NFL package. The TV has a Chromecast as well for streaming tablet or phone content directly to the TV. AT&T high speed internet access and a Washer/Dryer as well.
Kayaks for rent at the property at a fraction of the cost at the marinas and nowhere to travel to get them. ($80/for both Kayaks for your entire stay)
Fisherman and Boaters welcome.
I have fully remodeled this home for my family but because of the cost, I will share it with yours.
Jeff Stuart purchased this house in 2011
You cannot get an up to date home in the area. I love the charm of Clearklake but not shag rugs and a cruddy, dirty kitchen and bathrooms. I want to take a break and watch the game on a new 46"HDTV, not a 25' tube. Relax on the deck or dock and watch the world go by, BBQ and have a beer, it's your call.
On the water, up to date.
We had a great New Years weekend here in Clearlake. Beautiful views and comfortable sleeping arrangements made for a wonderful visit with family and friends!
Top-notch interior remodel. Very well done. Our family consisted of 3 couples, 2 kids, and the home slept all comfortably without pulling out sleeper-sofas, futons, or any of that nonsense. We brought our boat for fishing & water sports and being able to dock it right at the house made usage much easier and convenient. The dock is starting to show it's age and will need future repairs, but is still serviceable. The kayaks were a hit with young and old alike. Having the adjacent lot available for parking the truck and boat trailer was also a big plus. Home was clean and well-stocked with essentials.
Jeff made it easy to book and made our stay awesome. We enjoyed the house, it was beautifully remodeled. Although there was no fish in the back and the water was contaminated due to the wild fire it was enjoyable. We caught some frogs and rented a boat a couple miles away to go tubing. The neighbors were really nice. There is a gas station, restaurant, bar, and bait shop very close by which made it super convenient. But the walls in the house is so thin you can whisper and hear everything, there is also no locks in each bedroom just in case you have a playful party that bothers you during your sleep. Other than that I will definitely book again!
Loved that the house have chromecast and a surround sound bar.
Eight of us, two couples + a family of four, shared this updated, well outfitted house, making the expense - about $100.00 a night for each group - very reasonable.
The air conditioning capably handled the heat, which was around 100o each day. The kitchen had everything we needed + there was a large grill on the deck. The refrigerator was big enough for the entire group. The owner warned us that the grill's starter didn't work, so we left two lighters behind. We really enjoyed being able to gather as a group at the dining table and in the living area. The beds were firm + comfortable. The bedrooms for the couples had ample storage. One oddity, the bedroom accommodating 4 people had no bar for hanging clothes in the closet, though there was shelving. The upper shared bath lacked a place for hanging towels.
There were some games for kids, which they enjoyed, though for the older of the two the first question was how to get on the WiFi, which was explained in the booklet on the dining table.
I myself had no way to access the apps with information about local stores, WiFi, etc. Since the other couples did, I tried to forward access to the apps to them; however, the transfer would not recognize their web addresses, though it had recognized them for forwarding the information about the reservation and the HomeAway info page about the vacation home. (I tried copying + pasting, and entering the addresses manually; all efforts resulted in an unknown address error.)
The washer + dryer were clearly new and a welcome convenience. The owner even provided detergent for the washer.
We had sat on the deck the afternoon of our arrival. The deck needed some brooming - spiderwebs; but there was a broom handy. The chairs showed the birds had been eating something blue or purple but again, there was cleaner + paper towels for a quick cleanup. However, by evening - perhaps because of the heat - the stench from the canal just behind the house became unbearable (outside ONLY). This continued the next day but had dissipated some by the 3rd day. I understand this is due to the drought + weed growth in the lake but it is a shame, as having a deck + dock on the canal, with lake access, would make this a prize location.
The owner was very helpful and accommodating but I disliked the fact that I had booked many months in advance but was not advised of the need to submit a signed contract until nearly too late - the certified mail was returned unopened.
We came here for a weekend hang out for my husband's 30th for a few close friends, and it was perfect. We grilled BBQ for dinner, and made breakfast twice. Kayaked the lake, checked out one of the newer casinos for $10 prime rib (Running Creek Casino!).
Place was clean and as advertised. The cost was very reasonable, especially compared to other (older) choices in the vicinity.
Jeff was affable and responsive. Would rent again, and certainly recommend Jeff's place to friends and family.
Close to multiple wineries and casinos.

Instead of a high deposit, I have chosen to use a new program where you can purchase $1500 in damage protection for $59. This is a small price to pay for peace of mind. I also include a small refundable deposit because for very small items or potential issues I do not want to hassle with the insurance company although using this is not expected and this has never been used in the past. I will always be fair and this is not to make $.
