The pond is calling! Whether you come with a group of your best buddies, or for a romantic get-away, there's something for everyone! This is idyllic Vermont- perfect for equine trail riding (bring your own horse only), with limitless other activities: Hiking, biking, swimming, XC skiing, snowmobiling, sledding. Also ideal for relaxing, for those of you who are just looking to unwind in the serenity of the Bunkhouse and its remote surroundings. Come recharge in our comfortable cabin and get away from it all. The pond is perfect for swimming, lounging around, basking in summer’s glory and enjoying a campfire at night while listening to all the sounds of nature. You will definitely hear owls at night and often there are deer grazing in the field. The back deck is perfect for catching the sun rise over the pond while sipping coffee and/or enjoying a cocktail while listening to the birds chirp.
The cozy, western-themed cabin consists of four rooms and sleeps up to eight people. It contains a living room with a couch, chairs and a futon, a fully equipped kitchen for all of your cooking and dining needs, the bunk room with six twin bunks and a double bed, as well as a full bathroom with a stand-up shower.
There is a large deck overlooking the pond with a BBQ grill and table and chairs. A nice fire pit awaits you down by the pond and a picnic table and chairs. If the weather is bad and you're forced inside, enjoy the many games and books we have in the living room.
Our home and the Bunkhouse are located on the same property that consists of 100 acres. Both dwellings are off the grid, solar powered with a generator for back up on cloudy days.
We have horses that you can visit with and even arrange a lesson if you’d like. We have a few walking trails on the property and access toThe state forest nearby for more places to explore.
