Big Time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House location was nice, but the pool area was dirty on arrival. Gas for the grill was empty and had to refill the tank. Pool also was dirty and not working correctly, called Garden city and no one ever came out to repair or clean the pool. For a newer house inside seemed beat up, also for the size of the house capacity, very minimal cooking utensils and silverware. The elevator broke but Garden city did send someone out quickly to repair. I have stayed with Garden city for many years but will not rent this house again.

Fell short of our expectations

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were so excited for the pool/spa! However, they were not heated.The adults were never able to enjoy it; Despite calls, texts and emails to the host. It wasn't advertised as a duplex and the neighbors next door were so drunk and loud and kept throwing balls over our fence. 2 of the showers did not drain and the master shower had a lot of pink mold. The advertised arcade game didn't work- We had a special needs child with us that really wanted to play! My older son got stuck between floors inside the elevator and literally had to climb down to get out. Only the TV on the main floor had enough signal to watch anything. It could use a deep clean. The home location was great. A very short walk to the beach. I'm not one to complain but I had even sent several messages prior to our stay to ensure the pool would be heated and no one got back to me.

Great place for 16 to eat and sleep. Very convenient to beach 3-4 minutes max walk. Nice sidewalk to avoid traffic on N 16th street. Can tell it is managed by a property company just missing the little thing like 20 wine glasses with no wine opener. One enhancement would be to cement driveway. Gravel hard on bare feet.

Big Time was a nice property for rental, close proximity to the beach. We were disappointed because we rented to property a day earlier and upon arrival found the place dirty inside. It was as if the floors had not been swept, sand, dead flies, and trash throughout the property. During the week, three of the bathrooms had problems with the toilets not flushing properly. Management sent someone from maintenance immediately that evening (response time was great). However, he was unable to correct the problem, and we were told a plumber would arrive the next morning. It was not until evening, after having to call management again, before plumber would arrive. After his work, two of the bathrooms were fixed, a third one continued to give problems. The pool shows water flowing from the sides of an elevated wall. we were disappointed that this did not work (but not a deal breaker). We were also disappointed in the lack of silverware, pots and pans (not Teflon scratched) for use within the kitchen. Overall, the property is great. There are some improvements to be made, and this would have been a perfect score.
