This relaxing house at Lake James offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature and unwind enjoying all the beauty the lake and mountains have to offer. This home features 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms and a loft with two twin beds and a double/twin bunk. Unwind on an expansive screened in back porch with sofas and a gas fireplace or gather around a large bolder fire pit with chairs to roast marshmellows on a cool night. Cook up dinner in a fully equipped kitchen or grill out on the porch's 6 burner propane grill. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

We are pet friendly! We do ask that all furry friends utilize the plush orthopedic pet beds provided and stay off all beds and furniture.

Mountain bikers (and hikers) can enjoy ride in and ride out access to Fonta Flora country park and Lake James State Park trail systems. 30-40 min drive to Pisgah Forest/Wilsons Creek trails. 30 min drive to Kitsuma, Heartbreak Ridge and Gateway Mountain trails. Easy day trip to Asheville and Brevard. 10 min drive to brand new beginner friendly Oak Hill Community Park trails.

A short drive adjacent to the property allows access to the community's private riverbank to fish, swim, tube or paddle. (Floats and fishing poles are not provided, so feel free to bring your favorites from home). Parking at the river is roadside along a quiet side road.

Extremely friendly and helpful host. The house was very clean and beautiful. The location is perfect, close to the lake but not close enough to deal with the confusion. Proximity to both fonta flora and lake James mountain bike trails we very close.

The house was cozy and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked except there was only on small pot, but plenty of pans. The listing said the house has private river access. I took that to mean that there was river access directly behind the house. A clarifying statement that river is accessible by a short drive would have been helpful. Once I adjusted my expectations, we had a great time. Thank you.
